New Date for HERS Breast Cancer Foundation’s Annual Gala

HERS Breast Cancer Foundation has rescheduled its annual People with Purpose gala from May 2, 2020 to August 22, 2020.

Although the date has changed, venue and event elements remain the same. Guests will gather at the elegant Castlewood Country Club which is nestled in the scenic hills of Pleasanton, California. Attendees will enjoy a festive cocktail reception with entertainment by pianist Diane King, fundraising games, the opportunity to bid on highly desirable and original silent and live auction items, a delicious three-course dinner with wine, and more.

Silent auction prizes include a gorgeous woven sterling silver necklace and bracelet set while live auction items include offerings such as a handmade intricate afghan by artist Lisa Stambaugh and a Firetruck Birthday Package which includes a birthday cake delivery by City of Fremont Firefighters. And thanks to the generosity of the Foundation’s Board of Directors, fundraising game prizes include a spectacular 65″ LG Smart 4K TV and two pairs of Apple AirPods Pro.

As previously announced, the evening’s highlight will be the HERS Awards presentation. Given to individuals and organizations that demonstrate outstanding dedication to breast cancer survivors and HERS Programs, the awards represent what the organization strives to provide for each of its patients: Hope, Empowerment, Renewal, and Support.

The 2020 award recipients are the Tri-City Voice Weekly Newspaper, Alameda County District 1 Supervisor Scott Haggerty, Washington Hospital Healthcare System Nurse Tammy Ballantyne, and Dutra Enterprises, Inc.
