NCC’s free “Coronavirus in the Maternal Newborn Population” CE module is appropriate for all health care providers working with expecting mothers and/or newborns.

The National Certification Corporation (NCC) is pleased to announce that their newly developed Continuing Education (CE) module “Coronavirus in the Maternal Newborn Population” is free to all health care providers regardless of NCC certification status.

This free CE module is appropriate for all health care providers working with expecting mothers and/or newborns. Completion will provide 5 hours of CE/CNE that may be used to meet licensure or certification maintenance needs.

This module covers various areas of concern for health care professionals caring for these extremely vulnerable populations including maternal, fetal, and newborn outcomes; prevention and management; developing evidence-based neonatal care practices during the COVID-19 pandemic; and how physiologic changes of pregnancy affect the course of COVID-19.

To obtain NCC’s free “Coronavirus in the Maternal Newborn Population”, visit NCCwebsite.org/continuing-education and create an NCC account. The online CE module’s reading materials and post-test are immediately accessible. And the CE certificate and results are available directly after the completed post-test is submitted.

NCC hopes that this free continuing education is shared within the health care community and that all find this knowledge useful to practice.
