“Our goal is to help everyone working with seniors be as knowledgeable as possible,”

News and other press reports consistently mention the elderly are at particular risk with higher mortality if/when they contract COVID 19. Many individuals who have earned caregiver and educator certifications (CACtm, CAEdtm) from NCBAC are now caring for seniors who have COVID 19 or are at risk because of their age and living situation.
To help caregivers understand the specific issues related to the risks of exposure and challenges of dealing directly with COVID 19, NCBAC has begun assembling related information from a variety of sources. It can be found at: https://ncbac.net/covid19. Postings are updated weekly and come from a variety of sources including major medical institutions, government agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, leading scientists and commentators and others.
News is often so sobering and grave in the early stages of a pandemic like COVID 19, a companion site has been created which deals early successes in treatment and otherwise positive news. This information can be found at https://ncbac.net/coronavirus-heroes.
Dr. Donna Surges Tatum, PhD, President and Founder of NCBAC, “We’re all dealing with an issue we didn’t even know about 6 months ago. Our goal is to help everyone working with seniors be as knowledgeable as possible, especially including those that have earned certifications from NCBAC.”
