“We believe that Black Lives Matter and we are doing all we can to support this movement for human justice and positive change in our nation and world,” Dr. Harrison said.

Cake Bar in Trinity Groves was the place to be for Juneteenth on June 19 in a celebration thrown by MINT dentistry at the popular Dallas bakery. In addition to enjoying slices of delicious cake, compliments of MINT dentistry, attendees also had the opportunity to get to know Ms. Tracy German, the black entrepreneur behind the buzzworthy brand.

Juneteenth commemorates news of emancipation reaching Galveston, Texas, on June 19, 1865. Now, 155 years later, people in states across the U.S. mark the occasion with celebrations. MINT dentistry showed its support for local black-owned business and for the community by inviting everyone to the party to celebrate freedom together.

More than 550 slices of cake were savored by attendees at the Juneteenth event, which also included live entertainment from DJ Slim and giveaways from MINT dentistry employees.

Cake Bar offers a large selection of traditional, southern-style cakes, a variety of quick breads and fresh-from-the-oven cookies. Owner Tracy German is a long-time baker and culinary chef who is passionate about food and people. “Making food for people is a very personal thing, and it connects you to every person,” she said. German is famous for her large selection of scratch-made cakes in 16 delicious flavors.

MINT dentistry founder Dr. Field Harrison and Sabrina Harrison have been leading the community in serving and charitable efforts since the re-opening of the city at the beginning of May with grocery giveaways and other food distribution efforts. After the death of George Floyd shook the nation, the company also turned to show their support of the black community in Dallas.

“We believe that Black Lives Matter and we are doing all we can to support this movement for human justice and positive change in our nation and world,” Dr. Harrison said. “As a company, one of our core values is love. Love is the driving force and motivation behind all of our charitable giving and it is why we will always support the equality and freedom of all people, races and ethnicities worldwide,” Dr. Harrison said.

“We are committed to using our influence to release the love and power of God in the lives of people. We are honored to stand alongside the black members of our community today and always. We want to support black-owned businesses as a way to bless this community and give tangible hope that the world can change and become a place where every human is treated with the dignity, respect and honor they so deserve,” Sabrina Harrison said.
