LECMPA President Susan Tukel to Speak at RIMS Detroit and CPCU Detroit Gathering


“The more we share information and ideas, the more we learn from each other, and the better we serve our policyholders,” said Susan Tukel.

LECMPA, provider of wage loss insurance for union railroad and transportation workers, announced that President Susan Tukel spoke to members of the Risk and Insurance Management (RIMS Detroit) and Credential Property and Casualty Insurance Professionals (CPCU Detroit). She talked about the unique underwriting and risk management practices of her organization. The meeting was Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Detroit Historical Museum.

Tukel, a member of the Detroit Historical Society Board of Directors, has served as president of LECMPA for 15 years and helped grow the memberships of the insurer to more than 30,000 members. Previously the legal counsel to LECMPA, Tukel has an extensive background in labor law and union practices as well as credentials in insurance underwriting.
