[ad_1]

The International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA), a leader in the personal training certification industry, launched a new Health Coach Certification program.

The new certification course prepares health and fitness professionals for the full scope of physical, nutritional, and mental challenges their clients face. Health Coaches can work with anyone, at any fitness level with any health condition.

This comprehensive program addresses the health and psychological factors that can hinder a client’s progress in the gym. Coaches learn the tools and tactics necessary to help clients manage chronic conditions, navigate stress, increase healthy behavior change and motivation, and more. Health Coaches know what can go wrong, how to handle it, and how to resolve it.

“Navigating fitness and healthcare gets challenging in the personal training industry,” said Andrew Wyant, CEO. “Our Health Coach certification allows coaches to provide a holistic approach to the programs they develop. They’re prepared for any client who may have underlying health conditions or mental blocks hindering them from achieving their fitness goals.”

Some of the key topics covered in the course include:

●    Health coach roles and responsibilities

●    Stages of change and client motivation

●    Cognitive behavior approaches

●    Goal setting and psychology skills for health coaching

●    Chronic health conditions

●    Basic exercise and nutrition science

●    Stress management skills

●    Health coaching scenarios

●    Health coaching business, practice, and ethics

Completion of this certification prepares personal trainers and wellness professionals to help clients make holistic changes that strengthen their mental and physical health.
