Last month, for the first time since the global pandemic impacted citizens and businesses across the Houston area, A.D. Players at The George Theater opened their doors to patrons for a one-man offering from their educational touring department, “Apollo: to the Moon”, and an extended run of the concert, “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: John-Mark McGaha sings Stevie Wonder.” In addition to rigorous health and safety protocols, the theater worked with Apache SafeSpace Solutions to install custom UV-C treatment technology into their facility to help keep patrons safe. The technology has been integrated in educational, industrial, and commercial facilities all across the country, and is helping people safely get back to work and life.

“We are doing everything we can to keep our guests safe while still providing the magic of live entertainment. The Apache SafeSpace Solutions team worked closely with the theater to design, fabricate, and install hospital-grade UV-C lights in the building’s HVAC system to scrub the building’s airflow of microbial threats like bacteria, viruses, and fungi. UV-C light has been proven to penetrate cell walls, breaking down the nucleus of the cell to destroy it, and businesses all over the country are utilizing it to treat and decontaminate surfaces and the air.

Since reopening, A.D. Players at The George has been putting on a variety of shows at the theater with limited audiences and strict health and safety protocols.
