“Pediatricians are parents, too. And we know parents love to look for information on the internet. We wanted to be sure that there was a place for them to find the kind of guidance we’d share with them in our offices,” said Dr. Jennifer Shu, medical editor of HealthyChildren.org.

HealthyChildren.org, the official American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) website for parents, celebrates its 10th birthday by giving away ten $200 Visa gift cards in the site’s 10th Birthday Sweepstakes event.
HealthyChildren.org launched in 2009 and continues to serve parents of children of all ages with reliable online pediatric health and safety information in English and Spanish.
“Pediatricians are parents, too. And we know parents love to look for information on the internet. With HealthyChildren.org, we wanted to make sure that there was a place for them to find the kind of guidance we’d share with them in our offices,” said Dr. Jennifer Shu, medical editor of HealthyChildren.org. “A decade into this adventure, our fellow pediatricians and many, many parents have told us that we’ve created a truly helpful resource.”
HealthyChildren.org has experienced tremendous growth since its launch in December of 2009. In October 2019, the site experienced a record-breaking 8.9 million pageviews from more than 6 million unique visitors.
HealthyChildren.org is very excited to celebrate its success with a birthday-themed sweeps contest for registered users. Participants may enter once each day during the event which runs December 1 through the 10th anniversary of the site’s launch on December 10, 2019. Winners will be announced in January 2019 or sooner.
Full contest rules are available on HealthyChildren.org.
