Health Connect America Announces Launch of an Electronic Recycling Solutions Location in Franklin Creating Jobs for Adults with Special Needs

[ad_1]

Health Connect America today announced that the recently-acquired Electronics Recycling Solutions (ERS), part of the organization’s Adult Services Division, is opening a new location in Franklin, Tennessee, expanding from the original location in Gallatin, Tennessee.

In addition, Dave Krikac joins Health Connect America to lead the Adult Services Division as its regional vice president. Krikac was most recently the founder and executive director of The GEAR Foundation operating Our Thrift Store in Franklin for the past 15 years. Together with Rebeckah Dopp, founder and vice president of development for ERS, the team will replicate the growth strategy in the other Health Connect America markets in Tennessee and eventually throughout the Southeast.

ERS offers electronics recycling services and is the recent recipient of certification in the Responsible Recycling Practices for Electronics Recycling (R2) Standard. This certification allows ERS to provide a certificate to the donating entity, providing assurance that data is properly removed and destroyed. ERS liquidates hard drives and other electronic equipment and salvages memory chips, CPUs, and liquidates the remainder. ERS currently employs seven special needs adults in Gallatin and hopes to develop a similar-sized organization in Franklin near the Health Connect America headquarters.

Identifying other employment options for handicapped adults with local businesses will also be part of the adult services mission, addressing the 85 percent unemployment for people with cognitive impairment in the state of Tennessee.

Corporate organizations looking for safe computer disposition services should reach out to ERS and request a pick-up by calling (615) 567-6726 Extension 6747.
