Granite Telecommunications, a $1.75 billion provider of communications services to multilocation businesses and government agencies, announced today that it was named by the Boston Business Journal (BBJ) as one of the most charitable contributors in Massachusetts for the 14th straight year.
“We believe giving back is integral to being a good corporate citizen, so we’re honored that Granite has been recognized by the Boston Business Journal as a top charitable company again this year,” said Granite CEO Rob Hale. “We are grateful for our growth as an organization and happy to share that good fortune with our community, especially during the past two years of extraordinary need due to the health and economic impacts of the pandemic.”
In the previous three years, Granite has ranked among the top three charitable contributors in Massachusetts and earned the No. 1 ranking in 2019. This year’s ranking will be revealed at the BBJ’s 17th Annual Corporate Citizenship Awards event on Sept. 8, 2022.
In 2021, Granite contributed more than $38.9 million to charitable organizations in Massachusetts. This contribution includes $7.5 million to fund cancer research from the company’s 8th annual Saving by Shaving event, where local leaders, celebrities, Granite executives, and teammates shaved their heads to raise money and awareness.
