Feel better and less stressed with FocusCalm, which launched today on Kickstarter. FocusCalm provides an easy way for people to fight the stress of modern life.

The stress of balancing a career with creating time for friends and family while keeping up with hobbies can be overwhelming. FocusCalm makes it easy to find serenity, peace, and mindfulness by wearing it for just a few minutes a day.

FocusCalm is a wearable EEG headband paired with a smartphone app that uses neurofeedback to reduce feelings of stress. It trains the brain through a variety of engaging activities that produce real, measurable results. FocusCalm’s three-step process – learn, practice, challenge – creates a simple path for mental clarity and reduced stress.

“FocusCalm is the first product to combine guided meditation, neurofeedback, and brain games to deliver the most complete stress-reducing, brain training system on the planet,” said Max Newlon, President of FocusCalm.

The FocusCalm app is centered around the FocusCalm Score, a real-time measurement of a user’s stress levels on a scale from 0 to 100. Playing games on the app reinforces the brain’s ability to enter a state of relaxation as well as strengthening brain functions including memory, attention span, and decision making. The FocusCalm app tracks brain progress in three dimensions: depth, consistency, and speed. Depth is how relaxed the brain is, consistency is how well the user can stay in a calm state, and speed is how quickly the user can enter a calm state. Time spent in a calm brain state is also tracked so users can notice improvements.

According to the American Psychological Association, three out of four Americans report feeling at least one stress symptom from month-to-month. The negative mental health effects of the coronavirus, stemming from stress over health, work, family, and more, will likely be serious and long-lasting. FocusCalm helps users identify what stress feels like and teaches them how to reduce it at will, train their brain to achieve a state of calm – whether they’re getting ready for bed, preparing for the day ahead or seeking immediate relief.

FocusCalm is available to pre-order starting at $199. Delivery of those orders is expected in February. To pre-order, visit pr.go2.fund/FocusCalm.
