EPK Media announced today that it has been named the Business of the Year by the International Trade Council’s Go Global Awards 2019. The honor is in recognition of the launch of CIVILIAN magazine, a contemporary lifestyle publication whose mission is to feature influencers who are making a social impact. The Go Global Awards bring together hundreds of senior executives from some of the world’s most innovative manufacturers, re-manufacturers and exporters, along with representatives from government bodies, trade associations, venture-capital firms and financial institutions, helping celebrate the companies that are driving the economy forward through their innovations, technologies, and strategies.
“We would like to thank the International Trade Council for celebrating our vision and giving CIVILIAN this tremendous honor,” said Tiffany Shorter, Director of International and Public Affairs. “It was a tremendous achievement to celebrate with some titans of the international business community, and to see the reaction to CIVILIAN from leaders around the world. This award is not simply for the CIVILIAN and EPK Media teams, but for all of the celebrities, influencers, and advocates who have supported the mission of our magazine from the beginning.”
Led by Publisher Vanessa Ferrelli (who’s also the founder of EPK Media), CIVILIAN’s strong digital presence is handled by Chief Digital Officer Kristina Villarini, Director of Technology JP Martinez, Senior Web Developer Rebecca Koniahgari, Social Media Manager Tara McDonough, and Media Producer Gavy Contreras. The publication’s high-quality images and signature monochromatic-portrait layout are delivered by Creative Director Tim Morrison, Art Director Tyon Weekes, and Photo Editor Ron Contarsy. Its relevant editorial content is curated by Editor-in-Chief Eiko Watanabe, Editorial Assistant Monica Dias, Fashion Editor Ty-Ron Mayes, Travel Editor Thomas Wilmer, and Politics Editor Matt Anthes.
