Do you Need a Negative COVID-19 Test to Travel, Work or Attend an Event?

Logistics around a “vaccine passport” are still up for debate, but in the near future, showing proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test could not only be the fast pass to normalcy on airlines and in schools, entertainment venues and other public spaces, it may become a requirement.

911 Drug Testing, with locations in Chandler, Glendale, Mesa and Tempe, is now providing several convenient, low-cost COVID-19 testing options. Clinics are able to provide rapid nasal antigen tests with results in 15 minutes and covered by the CARES Act, antibody rapid blood tests with results in 15 minutes as well as airline-approved PCR nasal swab tests with results in 30 minutes.

“For the past five years, we have been a one-stop-shop for Valley employers pre-employment needs like drug testing, fingerprinting and background checks, now we are prepared to take another step forward by providing several COVID-19 testing options,” said Sarah Hope, owner of 911 Drug Testing clinics.

“After the year we’ve had, everyone is desperate to get some semblance of normalcy back. Getting rapid COVID-19 test results will give Arizona residents peace of mind when traveling, gathering in groups or going back to the office. Using these tests is the way we move forward safely,” she added.

Currently, 911 Drug Testing clinics offer several kinds of COVID-19 tests: viral tests (also called antigen test or PCR test) and antibody tests. The viral test tells patients if they have a current infection, where as the antibody test tells a patient if they had the COVID-19 virus previously and therefore have a level of immunity. The rapid antigen test is no cost. The antibody test runs $60.

If a patient needs a clean bill of health to travel by airplane, 911 Drug Testing is also offering the CUE Health FDA approved RT-PCR rapid test, with results in 20 minutes sent to a patient’s mobile device. This is the test required by some airlines. 911 Drug Testing is one of the very few locations in the Valley that offer this test. It costs $150 as compared to $395 at many other companies.

COVID-19 tests at the family-owned and operated 911 Drug Testing requires no appointment. Walk-ins are welcome.

911 Drug Testing is the all-in-one solution for all of pre-employment needs. From background checks to drug testing to fingerprinting, screening made easy. Most businesses rely on an outdated pre-employment system with one company for criminal background checks, another for drug testing and a third for fingerprint background checks. This is an inefficient and costly process. In May 2021, 911 Drug Testing will be changing its name to 911OccMed – Workplace Wellness.
