Cybereason, a leader in endpoint security, today announced its lineup of events and activities in conjunction with National Cybersecurity Awareness Month. Cybereason will be participating in a variety of virtual events geared to preventing cyberstalking, bringing equity into cybersecurity education and how to be more secure in a remote working world.
“Is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month still relevant? Yes, it is, but it should be more than an opportunity to bombard the rest of your company with reminders to be wary of phishing emails or to ‘think before you click.’ Instead, this is an opportunity to push the boundaries of cybersecurity awareness in three key ways: expand the audience for awareness, produce deeper and more meaningful messages and focus on solving for security issues through innovation, especially around emerging technologies,” said Sam Curry, Cybereason’s Chief Security Officer.
Featured events and activities include:
Monday, October 19, 9:00 am ET
Cyberweek Tel Aviv: Mor Levi, Cybereason’s Vice President of Global Security Practices, will join with other esteemed industry experts in a panel titled ‘Analogue Humans in a Digital World’ in which the panelists will discuss the minefield of security risks associated with remote working. How do companies ensure security for a workforce that isn’t always ‘security focused’? Joining Levi on the panel is Bruce Schneier, Fellow and Lecturer, Chief of Security Architecture, Harvard Kennedy School, Inrupt, Inc.; Chris Roberts, Hillbilly Hit Squad, Advisor, Researcher, Hacker and Christopher Hadnagy, CEO and Founder, Social-Engineer, LLC. Cyber Week Tel Aviv is one of the largest cybersecurity conferences in the world. This year the event is entirely virtual.

Cybertalks: A Daily Digital Experience: Lodrina Cherne, Cybereason’s Principal Security Advocate and Certified Instructor, SANS Institute, will give a standalone talk at Cybertalks titled The Language of Equity in Cybersecurity Education. The session will look at the global cybersecurity skills shortage and how it intersects with the worldwide movement for equity, inclusion and justice, and why it requires the security industry to support a diverse workforce.
