CommunityMed Urgent Care, a locally owned and operated healthcare provider, is proud to announce the opening of its eighth North Texas clinic location in the master-planned community of Lantana in southern Denton County.
The family-friendly clinic provides urgent care needs, as well as COVID-19 Rapid Antigen, PCR Swab and Blood Antibody testing for anyone seeking a test.

The Lantana urgent care clinic provides comprehensive testing, including tests for flu, strep and other viruses and infections, and treats an array of acute conditions and injuries. Common issues addressed include cuts requiring stitches, diarrhea, urinary infections, rashes, pink eye, strep throat and other minor ailments. The clinic is equipped with X-ray capabilities for adults and kids. School physicals are also available. On-site COVID-19 testing is also available for groups and companies in the region. The new medical clinic is located in the Kroger Shopping Center on FM 407, next to Supercuts. The address is 3600 FM 407, Suite 220, Bartonville, TX 76226, and the clinic can be reached by phone at (940) 220-7510. It is open seven days a week: Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
CommunityMed accepts most major insurance providers, including Medicare and Tricare, and encourages patients to secure their place in line on the CommunityMed website so there is little-to-no-wait at the facility. Earlier this year, the clinic rolled out a virtual waiting room so patients can minimize the time they are in the clinic. The healthcare provider also allows patients to fill out most of the paperwork from the comfort of their home, providing a modern approach to the overall patient experience.
The Lantana clinic joins the CommunityMed lineup of locations in South Arlington, Haslet, Cross Roads, Prosper, Melissa, Princeton and Wichita Falls.
