Clio Health Unveils GO Pass, Newest Feature of Clio Health Go App, Enabling Self-Directed, Touchless, COVID-19 Screenings and Check-ins at Healthcare Practices

The GO Pass kiosk is one of several form factors available.

By giving Americans a way to accurately screen themselves for COVID-19, we can keep consumers and employers apprised of aggregated risk, which can hopefully stem the spread of the virus, get businesses back to pre-pandemic levels, while still managing to secure user privacy.

Today, Clio Health launched GO Pass, a quick, secure, confidential COVID-19 screening and biometric analysis for healthcare practices. GO Pass clears patients and provides an electronic ticket to enter a medical practice. Patients check in by scanning their electronic ticket at the practice, similar to scanning a boarding pass at an airport kiosk. No specific symptom data are shared with the practice, instead they receive anonymous, time-stamped images of the results to verify that a patient has been cleared for entry. GO Pass reduces administrative burden while allowing practices to efficiently assess COVID-19 risk level prior to office visits.

Practices will be able to access screening results via the intuitive MedStatix Patient Experience Platform Dashboard. Patients retain an electronic record of their results in Apple Wallet, Google Pay, or email.

The Clio Health Go app is currently available in the App Store and Google Play and in closed pilots with health systems, medical practices, food processing plants, community and religious organizations, and schools. During the pilot phase, you can get access to GO Pass through the Kickstarter campaign. A variety of reward bundles are available to campaign backers. The campaign ends in early October. The app is scheduled to roll out nationally early this fall.

Dr. Scott Schell, Chief Medical Officer of Clio Health, stated: “COVID-19 is the most challenging public health crisis we’ve faced in a century. The scale of the pandemic is still unknown, but the risks to citizens and our economy is immense. By giving Americans a way to accurately screen themselves for COVID-19, we can keep consumers and employers apprised of aggregated risk, which can hopefully stem the spread of the virus, get businesses back to pre-pandemic levels, while still managing to secure user privacy. Our screening tool employs continuously updated CDC screening guidelines, supported by our proprietary A2I artificial-intelligence engine. “

GO Pass personal information is secured by Powch™, a patent-protected pseudonymity system. It protects identity using cryptography, in a manner similar to Bitcoin and blockchain. In keeping with its mission to further public good, Clio Health will open source COVID-19 risk assessment algorithms used in GO Pass, and will share anonymized data to foster advancements in battling the pandemic.
