Greenlight Guru Celebrates 10 Years by Introducing its Multi-Product MedTech Suite

Greenlight Guru Quality: The #1 QMS software, built to help MedTech companies improve speed and quality throughout the product lifecycle while lowering risk and costs.

Greenlight Guru Clinical (formerly SMART-TRIAL): The leading clinical data collection toolbox for MedTech, engineered to enable all clinical data operations within a single, compliant platform.

Greenlight Guru Academy: The premier destination for MedTech professionals looking for high-quality industry education and certifications.

“Greenlight Guru has been a great partner for our company,” says Kevin Coker, CEO and Co-Founder at Proxima CRO. “The solutions in the MedTech Suite have helped our clients get away from the old manual paper-based systems that have slowed them down in the past, and the platform’s intuitive design ensures that even novice users can hit the ground running from day one.”

Findings from the 2023 MedTech Industry Benchmark Report reveal that medical device companies face significant challenges when it comes to their critical quality process. One in three MedTech professionals say they are not well equipped to meet quality and product development objectives, and only 15% have a high level of visibility into quality problems. Additionally, 44% of MedTech companies use inadequate general-purpose tools to conduct critical clinical testing data collection.

Greenlight Guru’s MedTech Suite was built specifically to address these issues. An independent study found that Greenlight Guru Quality reduces the time needed to implement a QMS by 70% and reduces time spent on design and development documentation by 50%. Furthermore, Greenlight Guru Clinical allows MedTech professionals to quickly build custom clinical studies, reducing the time to set up a study by as much as two to three weeks. These gains in speed and efficiency can have a significant impact on a MedTech company’s ability to successfully get a product to market faster and keep it there over time.

“Over the past 10 years, we are proud to have helped over 1,100 MedTech companies bring innovative products to market that improved the quality of life for millions of people around the world,” says David DeRam, CEO of Greenlight Guru. “We are excited to continuously evolve our offering with the new MedTech Suite, delivering the most innovative solutions to help move MedTech forward.”

Splash Clinical Achieves Record Growth Supported by Innovative Patient Recruitment Tools

In the last three years, Splash Clinical has seen a remarkable revenue growth of 429%, bolstered its workforce by 82%, and expanded its global presence to the APAC region. This significant momentum is a testament to the company’s commitment to the acceleration and success of clinical trials worldwide. Splash Clinical’s surge in growth underscores the essential role the company plays in expediting clinical trials. Every delay in a clinical study can potentially push back the release of vital treatments to patients who need them. Splash’s Clinical growth is tangibly impacting the speed and efficiency of drug development and delivery.

A critical factor in this success is Splash Clinical’s innovative approach to patient recruitment.

“At Splash Clinical, we’ve redefined patient recruitment by tapping into the power of social media, digital media, mobile technologies, and real-time analytics,” said Matt Teuteberg, President and CEO of Splash Clinical. “This has enabled patients from around the world to discover clinical studies effortlessly while scrolling through their feeds, helping us fulfill our ultimate goal: helping our clients meet their recruiting goals quickly and consistently.”

One of the innovations behind this growth is Splash Clinical’s call center service, designed to perform secondary phone screenings of patients and direct them to appropriate trial sites. The service aims to relieve some of the burden on sites already tasked with the complexities of managing clinical trials. Unlike similar services from competitors, Splash Clinical’s call center leverages advanced scheduling technology, analytics for targeted screenings, and a “white glove” approach that includes trial education support for patients. According to company metrics, the call center has contributed to a 69% increase in screening rates for sites that use the service. This increase is significant for the efficiency of both the sites and the studies involved. This tool aligns perfectly with Splash Clinical’s mission of prioritizing patients and offering a seamless enrollment experience.

Splash’s commitment to combining advanced technology with genuine empathy provides a unique edge in patient recruitment. Moreover, precision targeting remains a central component of Splash Clinical’s strategy. The company believes in creating clinical studies that mirror the diverse world we live in to address health disparities. By creating campaigns that resonate with patients in diverse geographies, Splash Clinical can engage with patients effectively and enroll them in studies tailored to their unique needs.

With a history of providing high-quality referrals and enrolling patients in clinical studies across the globe, Splash Clinical’s continued growth and innovative features solidify its position as a trailblazer in patient recruitment.

Oxford Performance Materials Creating Separate Entity for its Orthopedic Implant Business

Oxford Performance Materials, Inc. (OPM; https://oxfordpm.com/), an industry leader in PEKK polymer science and high performance additive manufacturing, is establishing a focused entity for its 3D printed orthopedic business areas following the company’s further expansion into personalized implants. The decision to create a separate orthopedic company will allow greater focus, investment and resources to this high-growth sector of OPM’s business.

SOUTH WINDSOR, Conn., Sept. 19, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Oxford Performance Materials, Inc.

OPM first began 3D printing cranial and facial implants in 2014, and has delivered patient-matched devices for over 4,500 craniomaxillofacial (CMF) cases to date. The company has six FDA 510(k) clearances.

Until now, surgeons in need of personalized implants for cases in lower & upper extremity, trauma and oncology have had to rely upon 3D printed titanium devices, with recognized drawbacks of stiffness (resulting in stress-shielding and adjacent bone loss), an inability to modify the implant in the O.R., long delivery times, no anti-bacterial properties, poor imaging, and eventual implant corrosion in the body. Like titanium, 3D printed PEKK structures exhibit excellent bone ongrowth, however in contrast, OPM’s 3DP PEKK exceeds titanium in the following ways:

  • A material with bone-like mechanical properties that is fully modifiable in the OR
  • Anti-bacterial properties
  • Corrosion-free
  • Radiolucent
  • Shorter manufacturing times

Analysts tracking the medical device markets consistently report 3D printed implants among the highest growth sectors in orthopedics, and personalized devices are the orthopedic segment experiencing hyper-growth.

“Since our inception in 2000, OPM has been quietly building the most advanced materials and additive manufacturing technology in the orthopedic industry,” said Scott DeFelice, founder & CEO. “Our extension into personalized orthopedic implants began last year, providing devices pro-bono in response to an urgent need in Ukraine. Once specialized surgeons in the U.S. and Europe became aware of the comprehensive solution offered by 3DP PEKK, OPM’s extension from patient-matched CMF to an extended set of personalized devices was a natural step. We have a tiger by the tail here, and the broader decision to separate out our orthopedic offerings will allow greater focus and resources to better serve these customers.”

About Oxford Performance Materials, Inc.

Oxford Performance Materials, Inc. (OPM) was founded in 2000 to develop and commercialize the world’s highest performing thermoplastic, PEKK (poly-ether-ketone-ketone). OPM’s Materials business has developed a range of proprietary, patented technologies for the synthesis and modification of a range of PAEK polymers that are sold under its OXPEKK® brand, including coating technologies for a range of industrial and biomedical applications. OPM is a pioneer in 3D printing. OPM’s OsteoFab® technology is in commercial production in numerous orthopedic implant applications, including cranial, facial, spinal, and sports medicine devices, and OPM’s OXFAB® production parts are designed for highly demanding industrial applications.

Cayman Chemical Receives CEP for Latanoprost API from EDQM

Cayman Chemical, a world leader in the manufacture of prostaglandins for both research use and as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), has been granted a CEP for its latanoprost API. Cayman Chemical is the first company in the USA to receive a CEP for latanoprost.

ANN ARBOR, Mich., Sept. 19, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Cayman Chemical, a world leader in the manufacture of prostaglandins for both research use and as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), has been granted a Certification of Suitability to the monographs of the European Pharmacopoeia (CEP) by the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines and HealthCare (EDQM) for its latanoprost API, effective August 28th, 2023. Cayman Chemical is the first company in the USA to receive a CEP for latanoprost.

A CEP is granted to a manufacturer of an active substance that has demonstrated that the chemical purity and microbiological quality of their substance is adequately controlled by the relevant European Pharmacopoeia monograph and meets European Union (EU) pharmaceutical legislation requirements.

A CEP harmonizes data exchange between regulatory agencies and industry. It confirms that the active substance produced by the manufacturer has met quality standards under Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) that make it appropriate and safe for use in medicines. A CEP may be used to simplify the drug application process, as the CEP can be used in the application dossier for marketing authorization, making it easier to receive approval from licensing authorities.

CEPs are recognized by the signatory parties of the Convention on the Elaboration of a European Pharmacopoeia, which includes all European Pharmacopoeia member states and the EU. They are also accepted (some with conditions) by other countries and regulatory authorities. The EDQM has also established a list of authorities and organizations that are allowed access to certification assessment and/or inspection reports from manufacturer sites.

More information on APIs for commercial distribution available from Cayman, including latanoprost, may be found online at http://www.caymanchem.com/apis/overview.
