Susan and Brian Graveno

Brian and I have both been impacted by the kinds of situations our clients are facing and, because of this experience, we understand what it takes to get through those kinds of transitions. We know it is a stressful and difficult process, both for the senior and for the family. – Susan Graveno

Susan and Brian Graveno are pleased to announce the launch of their new senior- and family-focused business, Caring Transitions of Lehigh Valley.

Caring Transitions’ specially-trained professionals handle decluttering, organizing, packing, moving, resettling, in-home estate sales and online auctions, estate clearing and preparing homes for market. Caring Transitions of Lehigh Valley serves Allentown, Whitehall, Orefield, Macungie, Emmaus, Quakertown, Coopersburg, Center Valley and the surrounding areas.

“Brian and I have both been impacted by the kinds of situations our clients are facing and, because of this experience, we understand what it takes to get through those kinds of transitions. We know it is a stressful and difficult process, both for the senior and for the family. We are focused on providing high-quality services that help our clients get through those transitions as quickly and smoothly as possible. Our team will do whatever we can to help your family,” Susan said.

Brian is an only child and, when his mother passed away, he and Susan sorted through a lifetime of memories to clear her estate. Susan’s parents lived in an independent living community and, at the same time her father needed hospice and skilled care, her mother needed to be moved into assisted living. Those experiences led them to Caring Transitions and, after Susan’s father died, they made the decision to open their own local franchise.

“My father, Robert Zentz, was the President/CEO of Fellowship Community for more than 22 years. When he passed, I found myself thinking about the joy he got from working with seniors and the impact he made on so many people in our community. I wanted to make that kind of impact. That inspired us make the decision to bring Caring Transitions to this community,” Susan said. “We’re looking forward to providing a much-needed service in this area through a company that’s built on compassion and care.”

Caring Transitions’ services are perfect for managing the many aspects of a senior move or assisting with the process of downsizing to provide a safer living situation, as well as for busy families and people clearing out the home of a loved one who has moved into assisted care or passed. All of Caring Transitions’ services are customizable, so clients choose the solution that best fits their needs.

Susan and Brian are long-time Lehigh Valley residents who have been married for more than 30 years and have three adult children – Evan, Molly and Emily – who will also be involved in the family business. Susan has spent the last 30 years in healthcare sales and marketing. Brian has a background in technology sales and sales management. Throughout their professional careers, they always wanted to have a positive impact on others and their community.

Caring Transitions of Lehigh Valley is bonded, insured and their W2 employees have been background checked. For additional information call (610)904-8093, email SGraveno@CaringTransitions.com or visit http://www.CaringTransitionsofLehighValley.com.

Boston Medical Group Opens New Location in Orlando, Florida

News Image

For 20 years, BMG has been a leading provider of treatment solutions for erectile dysfunction (ED), premature ejaculation (PE) and low testosterone (Low-T).

Boston Medical Group (BMG) of Florida has announced the opening of a new office in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

For 20 years, BMG has been a leading provider of treatment solutions for erectile dysfunction (ED), premature ejaculation (PE) and low testosterone (Low-T). For men who don’t respond to the common ED pills such as Viagra, Cialis, BMG offers its own proprietary treatment known as The Boston Method™ which has helped over a million men restore their sexual confidence to the fullest. The Boston Method™ uses a combination of FDA-approved medications formulated to suit the individual’s need and health conditions; it is proven to work regardless of age or causes. It is now available to men in the greater Orlando and surrounding areas.

In addition, BMG will be offering their newest therapy known as RejuvaPulse™ Therapy. RejuvaPulse™ sends a series of low-intensity, pulsed soundwave directly to the penile tissue and in the process clears out plaques and promotes the formation of new blood vessels necessary for a healthy erectile response. RejuvaPulse™ is completely non-invasive and it has no side-effects. After a series of 12 treatments of about 30 minutes each, RejuvaPulse™ results in stronger erectile function and increased responsiveness to sexual stimulation.

Another exciting technology is called Boston PRP™ which uses ultra advanced technology to collect Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) from the patient’s own blood sample. Once activated, this PRP releases a cascade of growth factors that ultimately trigger the local stem cells to repair and rejuvenate worn-out tissues. The effects are heathier penile tissue, stronger blood flow and improved erectile function.

Boston PRP™ works synergistically with RejuvaPulse™ and dramatically increases the therapeutic effects of each treatment. Though not often needed, BMG can offer Stem Cell Therapy for hard-to-treat cases.

Boston Medical Group will be treating men with these therapies, and more, at their new office located at 106 Boston Ave, Suite 204, Altamonte Springs, FL 32701. Confidential appoinments can be made by calling (800) 337-7555 or visit http://www.BostonMedicalGroup.com

NeoTract Designates Dr. Lynn Lyons as UroLift® Center of Excellence

NeoTract, a wholly owned subsidiary of Teleflex Incorporated (NYSE:TFX) focused on addressing unmet needs in the field of urology, today announced that Lynn Lyons,DO, Crisp Regional Urology in Cordele,GA has been designated as a UroLift® Center of Excellence. The designation recognizes that Dr.Lyons has achieved a high level of training and experience with the UroLift® System and demonstrated a commitment to exemplary care for men suffering from symptoms associated with Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH), also known as enlarged prostate.

Recommended for the treatment of BPH in both the American Urological Association and European Association of Urology clinical guidelines, the FDA-cleared Prostatic Urethral Lift procedure using the UroLift System is a proven, minimally invasive technology for treating lower urinary tract symptoms due to BPH. The UroLift permanent implants, delivered during a transurethral outpatient procedure, relieve prostate obstruction and open the urethra directly without cutting, heating, or removing prostate tissue.

The UroLift Center of Excellence program is designed to highlight urologists who are committed to educating their patients on BPH and the UroLift System as a treatment option and consistently seek to deliver excellent patient outcomes and experiences.

“This designation recognizes Dr. Lyons as a UroLift Center of Excellence for his commitment to providing safe and effective treatment to patients with BPH,” said Dave Amerson, president of the Teleflex Interventional Urology business unit. “We are pleased to see the continued acceptance of the UroLift System as a standard of care treatment that may allow men to discontinue the use of BPH medications and improve their quality of life.”

Over 40 million men in the United States are affected by BPH, a condition that occurs when the prostate gland that surrounds the male urethra becomes enlarged with advancing age and begins to obstruct the urinary system. Symptoms of BPH often include interrupted sleep and urinary problems and can cause loss of productivity, depression and decreased quality of life.

Medication is often the first-line therapy for enlarged prostate, but relief can be inadequate and temporary. Side effects of medication treatment can include sexual dysfunction, dizziness and headaches, prompting many patients to quit using the drugs. For these patients, the classic alternative is surgery that cuts, heats or removes prostate tissue to open the blocked urethra. While current surgical options can be very effective in relieving symptoms, they can also leave patients with permanent side effects such as urinary incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and retrograde ejaculation.

About the UroLift® System

The FDA-cleared UroLift System is a proven, minimally invasive technology for treating lower urinary tract symptoms due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The UroLift permanent implants, delivered during a minimally invasive transurethral outpatient procedure, relieve prostate obstruction and open the urethra directly without cutting, heating, or removing prostate tissue. Clinical data from a pivotal 206-patient randomized controlled study showed that patients with enlarged prostate receiving UroLift implants reported rapid and durable symptomatic and urinary flow rate improvement without compromising sexual function*1,2. Patients also experienced a significant improvement in quality of life. Over 100,000 men have been treated with the UroLift System in the U.S. Most common adverse events reported include hematuria, dysuria, micturition urgency, pelvic pain, and urge incontinence. Most symptoms were mild to moderate in severity and resolved within two to four weeks after the procedure. The Prostatic Urethral Lift procedure using the UroLift System is recommended for the treatment of BPH in both the American Urological Association and European Association of Urology clinical guidelines. The UroLift System is available in the U.S., Europe, Australia, Canada, Mexico and South Korea. Learn more at http://www.UroLift.com.

Simply Connect Launches “Marketplace”

Simply Connect announced Tuesday, September 17th the launch of Marketplace, a new product from Simply Connect that will help service providers increase community census through robust and customizable search.

“This new technology has the potential to increase service community census by up to 20 percent in a mere matter of weeks,” said Simply Connect CEO Craig Patnode. “This is about utilizing our proprietary search capabilities to target potential customers with speed and accuracy, in ways that are commensurate with how patients look for care.”

Finding a provider who is covered by a patient’s insurance or other healthcare coverage is often time consuming and frustrating and can cause individuals to give up before receiving care. With Marketplace, patients, caregivers and providers can:

  • Browse lists of available care providers by such filters as location, primary focus, community type, services and insurance carriers.
  • View the details, program requirements, language services, age groups accepted, program requirements and more of various communities.
  • Request appointments and make referrals for potential and existing clients.
  • See at a glance the wider provider network that is available to provide care.

Marketplace does not only assists providers with community census, it also benefits individuals and their natural supports in helping to self-manage appointments, search for specific providers and foster follow-up activity.

To learn more about Marketplace and its integration with Simply Connect, please contact Leah Schwintek at leah.schwintek@simplyconnect.me or 651-328-7872.

Windsor Vallejo Care Center Celebrates Volunteers at Annual Appreciation Dinner

https://www.prweb.com/

Windsor Vallejo Appreciation Dinner

“Each year, we host a special Appreciation Dinner for all our volunteers,” says Cumay-Ao. “We feel it is very important to recognize the selfless efforts of these amazing individuals.”

Windsor Vallejo Care Center, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in Vallejo, California, recently held its’ annual Volunteer Appreciation Dinner, recognizing the valuable services their volunteers provide to the residents at the care center.

The Volunteer Program was initially launched in 2003 by Norma Cumay-Ao, Activities Director at Windsor Vallejo, to meet the spiritual needs of the residents. Based on her assessment, residents at Windsor Vallejo belonged to 27 different religious denominations. Cumay-Ao recruited volunteers from dozens of religious organizations in Vallejo and within 3 months, pastors, clergy, ministers and religious leaders responded to the invitation and scheduled their services.

The program subsequently expanded to include a range of activities for residents, including: arts and crafts, exercise classes, one-on-one reading and conversation, entertainment (musicals, dances and other presentations), and discussion groups. Civic and religious organizations are invited for holiday events, and local and county officials volunteer as guest speakers for special events.

“Each year, we host a special Appreciation Dinner for all our volunteers,” says Cumay-Ao. “We feel it is very important to recognize the selfless efforts of these amazing individuals. This year, close to a hundred volunteers, special guests and staff attended the dinner. We presented volunteers an award and a Congressional Certificate from the Office of Congressman Mike Thompson. The Mayor of Vallejo, Bob Sampayan, was also present and addressed the attendees. And of course, we served great food and provided musical entertainment.”

There are currently over 100 active individuals from various religious groups who volunteer weekly at Windsor Vallejo.
