Centurion Service Group Acquires Medical Equipment Refurbishing Company Monet Medical – Expanding Scope and Market Reach to Build Comprehensive Medical Equipment Solution

Centurion Service Group’s vision vision is truly driving changes to the medical equipment industry and I am excited to see our resources make a difference in what will become a new model for equipment utilization.

Centurion Service Group, a leader in medical equipment solutions, announced today that it has acquired Salt Lake City, UT Monet Medical, an advanced refurbisher of best-in-class beds, stretchers, infusion pumps and other medical equipment with strong ties to major national medical distributors. Originally a medical equipment auction house, Centurion Service Group has firmly cemented its commitment to building a comprehensive, provider-centered medical equipment model, including selling new and reconditioned medical equipment.

The acquisition of Ganim Medical in July of last year added retail distribution and enabled Centurion Service Group to provide hospital customers a full-circle solution for equipment liquidation and re-purchase, according to president and CEO Erik Tivin. The addition of Monet Medical adds infrastructure, distribution, and advanced reconditioning capabilities to the growing medical equipment solutions company:

“Monet Medical is an important step for us in the direction of creating a comprehensive, value-focused medical equipment solution for providers. The synergies we are building with this acquisition translate directly to better equipment economics for hospitals: We can now make more reconditioned equipment categories available through distributor channels and provide an expanded portfolio of top-quality reconditioned equipment to our direct hospital partners. Monet Medical’s two Salt Lake City facilities, highly professional infrastructure and great leadership enlarges our footprint and strengthens our relationship with our customers”.

Monet General Manager Rich Absher said, “Centurion Service Group’s vision is truly driving changes to the medical equipment industry and I am excited to see our resources make a difference in what will become a new model for equipment utilization. Hospitals are looking for comprehensive medical equipment solutions and the combined business provides the capabilities to make this model a reality.”

Centurion Service Group’s auction division sells over 100,000 pieces of surplus medical equipment every year. With the acquisition, Centurion Direct, the company’s direct sales channel, will expand to include large distributors and several high-value product lines to improve hospital economics and further reduce the environmental impact of surplus medical equipment throughout the world.

About Centurion Service Group

Centurion Service Group partners with hospitals and surgery centers to unlock and extend the value of their surplus medical equipment. Centurion provides a hassle-free, full-cycle, service-focused solution: The company works with hospitals to create strategies for surplus equipment liquidation; to pick up, transport, warehouse, and sell surplus devices; and to continue the value of surplus equipment by turning it into new equipment, refurbished equipment or essential services. Centurion Service Group is a leading medical equipment life-cycle company with an extensive warehousing, auction and logistical footprint in the United States.

Newport Beach Institute Launches Home-Based Vestibular Virtual Reality System Used to Treat Mark Cuban for Dizziness

treatment, virtual reality, dizziness, home healthcare

Home-based, Vestibular Virtual Reality system for treatment of dizziness, vertigo and imbalance

The advanced home-based VVR treatment system for dizziness, vertigo and imbalance is unique because it allows a doctor to remotely monitor a patient’s progress and adjust treatment prescriptions, accordingly, says Dr. Howard T. Mango.

Newport-Mesa Audiology Balance & Ear Institute (the Institute) has launched a patent-pending, home-based, Vestibular Virtual Reality (VVR) system for the treatment of dizziness, vertigo and imbalance, which is now available to national and international patients. The home-based VVR treatment system is built on the technology and proprietary Advanced Vestibular Treatment™ clinical protocols the Institute utilized to effectively treat Mark Cuban for dizziness caused by vestibular (inner ear) dysfunction. Vestibular dysfunction is a prominent cause of dizziness, vertigo and imbalance, which nearly half of the U.S. population will experience in their lifetimes.

The advanced home-based VVR treatment system for dizziness, vertigo and imbalance is unique because it allows a doctor to remotely monitor a patient’s progress and adjust treatment prescriptions, accordingly, providing superior treatment outcomes vs. self-directed home therapy. The VVR treatment system is exclusively available to patients of the Institute and promises to deliver effective treatment to patients at home who suffer from often debilitating dizziness, vertigo and imbalance.

The home-based VVR treatment system is an extension of the Institute’s trademarked Advanced Vestibular Treatment. The proprietary clinical process is a “top-down” approach to diagnosing and treating dizziness, vertigo and imbalance, which starts with the vestibular system where a large portion of these disorders originate. Directed by doctors of audiology, Advanced Vestibular Treatment incorporates physical exercises with optokinetic stimulation to both desensitize visual motion disturbance and help restore balance function by utilizing integration techniques between the vestibular, visual and somatosensory inputs. Advanced Vestibular Treatment can be more efficient and effective than traditional “bottom-up” therapies, such as vestibular rehabilitation therapy, that utilize exercises and core strengthening for postural control.

“The home-based VVR treatment system is a new and revolutionary aspect of Advanced Vestibular Treatment,” says Dr. Howard T. Mango, CEO and founder of Newport-Mesa Audiology Balance & Ear Institute. “The underlying clinical protocols are proven to effectively treat vestibular related balance issues, as with Mark Cuban. The introduction of the VVR treatment system to deliver this clinical efficacy at home is a far-reaching way to help restore patients to activity levels prior to the onset of their symptoms.”

To get the VVR treatment system, patients must first undergo a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation at the Institute. If vestibular dysfunction is diagnosed, a recommendation for treatment is prescribed by one of the Institute’s doctors of audiology. Patients then begin home-based treatment through the VVR system with an accompanying concierge care plan of their choosing. Patients are cared for by their doctor of audiology during treatment through regular phone and online appointments, as well as remote monitoring to evaluate treatment progress, with adjustments to treatment prescriptions implemented throughout.

The VVR treatment system is available to patients for purchase or lease and includes self-contained virtual reality goggle system, mobile phone application, Advanced Vestibular Treatment web portal, patient-specific optokinetic treatment stimuli and physical exercise videos.

“Virtual reality, real-time connectivity and Advanced Vestibular Treatment are a true convergence of high-tech and high-touch healthcare,” says Dr. Mango. “From the convenience of each patient’s home, we can now deliver highly personalized, highly effective treatment of dizziness, vertigo and imbalance. For dizziness, Vestibular Virtual Reality is a home-healthcare gamechanger.”

Silicon Valley Hair Institute Announces New Post about the Phraseology of FUE Hair Transplants in the Bay Area

Silicon Valley Hair Institute, an expert team of hair restoration specialists in the Bay Area, is announcing a new post.

There are several types of remedies to tackle hair loss problems. Some mean different processes, while others mean the same type of treatment.

Silicon Valley Hair Institute, hair transplant professionals serving the San Francisco Bay Area community http://siliconvalleyhairinstitute.com/, is proud to announce a new post identifying the terms for FUE hair restoration. The new post helps clear up the vocabulary of ‘ARTAS’ and the acronyms of FUE vs. FUT surgery. Locals searching for hair loss treatments in San Francisco may need help verbalizing the exact term to find support. Robotic hair restoration surgery, called by several different terms, may indicate the same type of treatment.

“There are several types of remedies to tackle hair loss problems. Some mean different processes, while others mean the same type of treatment,” explained Miguel Canales, of Silicon Valley Hair Institute. “The new post is designed to clear up any confusion over our terms. FUE surgery and ARTAS hair surgery are explained in the post.”

Bay Area residents interested in reading the new post from Silicon Valley Hair Institute can go to the page at https://siliconvalleyhairinstitute.com/follicular-unit-extraction-bit-mouthful-say-artas-instead/. Follicular Unit Extraction is a general term used in the hair restoration field. Cutting-edge robotics can fit in the same category as FUT/FUE hair transplant surgery. ARTAS, a brand name, might be used in conjunction with hair transplant surgery. Men and women searching for hair loss solutions can review the newly update ARTAS page at https://siliconvalleyhairinstitute.com/artas/ . Hair restoration processes can include the following: micropigmentation, eye brown eyebrow transplants, and other more specific hair transplantation procedures.

BAY AREA RESIDENTS LEARN THE LANGUAGE OF INNOVATIVE FUE HAIR TRANSPLANT SURGERY

Here is the background for this release. Medical answers to restoring thinning hair have been prevalent for several decades. One common practice is the surgical process of removing hair from the back of the scalp and placing it to the front of the scalp. In recent years the public has heard of robotic hair transplantation surgery or ARTAS for short. The public might want to understand ARTAS vs. FUT vs. FUE when it comes to hair transplant. Advances in hair loss solutions include the addition of innovative robotic hair transplantation. For these reasons, Silicon Valley Hair Institute has announced a new post about the current terminology regarding hair transplantation, and urges interested parties to reach out for a no obligation consultation with a hair loss specialist.

CAMRT Alarmed at Ontario Government Decision to Axe Key Funding Program

The Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is urging the Ontario Government to reconsider its decision to shut down the Allied Health Professional Development Fund. The fund has helped allied health professionals in Ontario, including thousands of medical radiation technologists (MRTs) working across the province, to access essential continuing professional development opportunities.

The Ontario Association of Medical Radiation Sciences (OAMRS) led by Greg Toffner, CEO, has been working tirelessly to convince the Ontario Government to continue this important funding. The CAMRT fully supports the position taken by OAMRS. We urge the Ontario Government to collaborate with OAMRS and reconsider their decision to withdraw funding for this program for the good of all Ontarians.

Ontario’s Health Minister, Christine Elliott, claims that the government’s rationale for terminating the program is that the Ontario Government is now focusing as much funding as possible on “front line patient care”.

“Continuing professional development is by no means a luxury; it is essential to ensuring that healthcare professionals are up-to-date with new research, best practices, technological advances, safety protocols and other developments in their field of practice,” said Irving Gold, CAMRT’s CEO. “The importance of these educational offerings is reflected in the fact that CMRITO, the regulatory authority for Ontario’s MRTs with the mandate of protecting the public, requires 25 hours a year in order to maintain certification.”

“It is unclear to me how the Ontario government is defining front-line care, but MRTs do indeed provide front-line care to millions of Ontarians each year,” said Gailyne MacPherson, CAMRT President. “Removing funding for continuing education for a profession that operates in such a rapidly changing technological environment. This decision will ultimately undermine the government’s desire to focus on improved patient care.”

OAMRS is currently meeting with non-cabinet MPPs of the PC Caucus who are most likely to pressure the Minister to review the decision. Ten meetings have been scheduled to date.

About the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists

The Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) is the national professional association and certifying body for radiological, nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance imaging technologists and radiation therapists. With more than 12,000 members nationally and 3,000 members in the province of Ontario, the CAMRT is a strong advocate for quality patient care in medical imaging and radiation therapy.

Dr. Robert Glasgold Listed Among NJ Monthly Magazine’s “Select Plastic Surgeons”

Dr. Robert Glasgold of the Glasgold Group receives recognition of NJ Select Top Doctor 2020

The official New Jersey Select Top Doctor 2020 Badge

My goal in all procedures is to create great, natural-looking results. In rhinoplasty, this is dependent on changing a nose from a dominant facial feature to one where it complements the rest of the face.

The Glasgold Group, a Princeton plastic surgery center that has been serving patients since the 1960s, is proud to announce that Dr. Robert A. Glasgold was recently recognized as one of NJ Monthly Magazine’s “Select Plastic Surgeons” for 2020. The recognition was given for Dr. Glasgold’s excellence in rhinoplasty, which is known as one of the most challenging plastic surgeries to perform and master.

Rhinoplasty, also known as a “nose job,” is performed to reshape the nose for an improved appearance and/or enhanced breathing and function. Because the nose is the most prominent facial feature and affects a person’s facial balance, rhinoplasty must be carefully customized to suit each patient’s exact needs. It is extremely difficult to create a natural-looking result from rhinoplasty, but Dr. Robert Glasgold is known for his artistry and his ability to create a beautiful nose for each patient. He is fellowship-trained and specializes in this popular and versatile procedure.

During the rhinoplasty consultation process, Dr. Glasgold takes the time to get to know his patients and to truly understand their needs. He uses advanced imaging software to help them visualize the possible results of their rhinoplasty and ensures that all of their questions and concerns are addressed fully. This commitment to communication helps to ensure that Dr. Glasgold and his patients are on the same page and working toward the same goals.

Dr. Glasgold notes that there’s nothing more important than customizing the rhinoplasty procedure:

“My goal in all procedures is to create great, natural-looking results. In rhinoplasty, this is dependent on changing a nose from a dominant facial feature to one where it complements the rest of the face. Patients frequently note that after surgery their favorite features, be it their eyes, mouth or cheekbones, now shine through.”

The acclaimed Glasgold Group plastic surgery center in Princeton, NJ, is run by Robert Glasgold, MD, FACS, and his brother, Mark Glasgold, MD, FACS, who also made the NJ Monthly Magazine’s list of top plastic surgeons in 2019. The practice was founded and run by their father, Dr. Alvin Glasgold, for decades and continues to flourish due to the brothers’ commitment to surgical excellence and unparalleled patient care.

At the Glasgold Group, patients can choose from a variety of facial surgeries and procedures, including rhinoplasty, facelift, eyelid surgery, browlift, injectable treatments, and much more. Drs. Robert and Mark Glasgold enjoy helping their patients achieve positive change and lead to more confident lives.

To learn more about rhinoplasty and other facial rejuvenation procedures at the Glasgold Group in Princeton, NJ, call 732-846-6540 or visit us online at glasgoldgroup.com.
