The small elliptical machine provides customers with the ability to sit and read or watch TV while also working out. The small piece of pedaled equipment lets people stay fit and healthy without having to go to the gym.

Nouw mentions BluTiger’s incredible ability to change the stagnancy of work from home life by providing an under-the-desk machine. The review makes a point to convey the ease of workout by claiming you can do it while watching television as well. The machine is also reviewed as “low impact” on your knees, making it doable for those with joint conditions.

The machine was created to help people find wellness and health even during the busy seasons. As the holidays continue to ramp up, BluTiger keeps families and customers healthy with the ability to work out from home and the ease of the couch, desk, chair, etc.

This review by Nouw is one of many BluTiger reviews that prove BluTiger is a revolutionary part of people’s everyday lives.

BluTiger helps people by:

  • The Low-impact elliptical motion
  • Ability to workout anywhere
  • Help to burn calories and build muscle

BluTiger is super-smooth and whisper-quiet. You control the internal magnetic resistance with the turn of a dial. Workout at any level! Set the light resistance for an easy walking motion. Speed up the pace to mimic jogging. Increase the resistance for some cardio climbing or dial it up even more for intense muscle-building, just like the gym.

Axo Nutrition Introduces Latest Pre-Workout and Recovery Gummy

“The traditional gym rat is used to concocting chemical flavored, powdery supplement shakes. We knew there had to be a better way for people to enhance their workout routines without the hassle. I started AXO Nutrition to deliver the benefits of proven nutrients in a delicious, easy-to-eat gummy”

AXO Nutrition, a Southern California-based performance nutrition company, today announced its newly developed Pre-Workout and Recovery Gummies. Designed to give everyone—from elite athletes to professional parents—a better-energized workout, or a boost of energy when they need it and more rejuvenating recovery with powerful nutrients and non-chalky, delicious flavors.

The Pre-Workout Gummies are packed with scientifically backed nutrients like Beta-Alanine, proven to reduce muscle fatigue, Chromium Picolinate to help burn fat instead of muscle, and vitamin B12 to help turn the existing proteins and fats in your body into natural energy. These, paired with a precise dose of everyone’s favorite stimulant, Caffeine, deliver a surge of long-lasting energy to make the most of any workout. Pre-Workout initially comes in a Mixed Berry flavor, though other flavors are planned in the future.

The Recovery Gummy boasts Branched Chain Amino Acids (BCAA), which can reduce exercise fatigue; Sodium, proven to help regulate muscle contraction, nerve function and blood volume; Protein to improve muscle gain; and Glutamine to help combat soreness after a tough workout—or even a crazy night out. The core goal of the Recovery Gummy is to get people back to normal faster after a physically taxing workout or event. Recovery initially comes in an “Orange” flavor, with more flavors to come.

Both the Pre-Workout and Recovery Gummies are small and easy to take on-the-go. While AXO Nutrition does provide recommended dosing based on our initial studies of the product, people can modulate their intake to the precise level they desire, which is a unique benefit of consuming nutrients in this fashion. For people with sensitive stomachs, or those who can’t workout effectively after consuming a filling shake, AXO Nutrition gummies are an excellent way to ingest these powerful nutrients.

AXO Nutrition is trying to disrupt a $35B industry one gummy at a time. You can currently find the Pre-Workout and Recovery Gummies on Amazon and AXO.fit. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Bronson@axo.fit.

It’s time to take care of the caretaker in 2022

News Image

“Many women fail to address their own health issues because self-care has become nearly synonymous with self-indulgence” -Angela Arena, natural health educator and founder of Kind Lab

Plant-based radical wellness company Kind Lab announced today they have released a Kind Lab selfcare toolkit for all fatigued and frazzled 45-plus women caretakers in 2022.

Stressed out to the point of insomnia and crumbling under the demands of being a business executive, mother, wife, and caregiver, Angela Arena decided to prioritize her own wellness and delved into the world of plant extracts where she discovered, refined, and made available powerful natural solutions in the form of a Kind Lab selfcare toolkit for a spectrum of health challenges faced by millions of 45-plus women every day.

“From raising a child to caring for an aging parent to helping friends deal with pandemic worries, a caregiver is anyone who sacrifices their time and energy to provide social and physical support for the benefit of a loved one. However, in too many cases, the caregiver fails to care for their primary responsibility – namely, their own health and wellness,” said Arena.

“Many women fail to address their own health issues because self-care has become nearly synonymous with self-indulgence. When women are already struggling to prioritize their own wellness, anything that seems indulgent can carry a stigma of guilt or shame. That stigma holds a lot of women back and causes them to descend to the point where they’re so overwhelmed that they either don’t know where to start or they’ve normalized how they feel. Both of those situations contribute to the phenomenon of women “letting their cups run dry,” Arena said.

KEEPING THE CUP FULL WITH KIND LAB’S SELFCARE TOOLKIT:

“There are many natural plant-based options available to address each woman’s personalized needs,” says Arena. “We’ve assembled a toolkit of 5 wellness resources to help women live their best lives.”

1. Quality sleep

“If someone is feeling anxious or stressed out during the day, the first thing I ask them is ‘how are your nights going?’ Many times, people don’t realize how poorly they’ve been sleeping. If people are struggling with daytime stresses and sadness as well a struggling with sleep, I usually recommend handling the sleep first because many times that will have a ‘halo’ into the day. To improve sleep, you can try several things including mediation, deep breathing, clearing the room of electronic distractions, and taking plant-based sleep supplements.”

2. Regular exercise

“I recommend exercising at least three times a week – even a 15-to-30-minute workout has been shown to greatly improve overall health and well-being. You may feel too tired to exercise, but that’s even a better reason to do it. “Exercise” doesn’t have to mean miles of running or heavy lifting; a 20-minute walk around the block will do it. Getting outside is great because you get the bonus of sunshine.”

3. Dietary changes

“Little changes can add up over time and can really make a big difference to your physical and emotional well-being – but they don’t have to be overwhelming. You can start small. Cut out the extra spoon of sugar in your morning coffee and see if you feel any calmer during the day.”

4. Vitamins & minerals

“Dietary supplements that help lift mood include vitamin-D, vitamin-B complex, and magnesium (magnesium glycinate).”

5. Adaptogens and nootropics

“Adaptogens are non-toxic compounds that help the body adapt to mental & physical stress and restore homeostasis (physiological balance). Nootropics are compounds that improve cognitive function, such as memory, creativity, focus, memory recall, and mood. Examples include:

  • Saffron elevates mood.
  • Rhodiola supports the body’s ability to react to and recover from stress.
  • Eleuthero (Siberian ginseng) boosts energy and mental stamina.
  • Hemp extract reduces stress and balances body systems.”

Angela has assembled a Kind Lab selfcare tool kit, which includes formulations that contain the nutritional support women need to navigate life in a happier, kinder, and more compassionate way during those turbulent years.

Blue Water Announces Donation of $75,000 to Northampton County YMCA in Cape Charles, Va.

Blue Water presents a $75,000 check to the Northampton County YMCA.

“Cape Charles is a beautiful area with incredible people, so we are glad we can help the community by funding their local chapter of the YMCA.” – Todd Burbage, Blue Water CEO

Real estate developer and leading outdoor hospitality specialist Blue Water announced that they have donated $75,000 to the Northampton County YMCA in Cape Charles, Va., as part of a new holiday season initiative to give back to the communities that play host to some of Blue Water’s many properties.

“With tourism and travel now recovering from the pandemic, we thought it was high time to start giving back to the communities that helped us survive during the crisis,” said Todd Burbage, Blue Water’s CEO. “Cape Charles is a beautiful area with incredible people, so we are glad we can help the community by funding their local chapter of the YMCA.”

Built during the height of the pandemic in August 2020, the Northampton County YMCA provides residents with a place to exercise, gather, and participate in recreational activities. The Y is part of the larger YMCA of South Hampton Roads association, which serves southeast Virginia and northeast North Carolina.

The donation will specifically be going toward raising funds to cover the construction and expansion costs for the YMCA, which in turn will lead to the creation of youth programs, support for aging adults, swim safety, and healthy living access.

“This new holiday donation initiative is a unique opportunity to show how much we value the communities where our properties are located,” Burbage said. “As the home of our Sunset Beach Hotel and Cape Charles/Chesapeake Bay KOA Resort, Cape Charles deserves to have a place where people can spend time together and exercise. We’re excited about supporting initiatives and charities like this across the country as we give back this holiday season, and we are hoping that this becomes a yearly tradition.”

About Northampton County YMCA:

The Northampton County YMCA broke ground August 25, 2020 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia just a short distance from Cape Charles’ main street. This Y will be part of the YMCA of South Hampton Roads, serving southeast Virginia and northeast North Carolina.

Concern of insufficient youth programs, support for aging adults, swim safety, and healthy living access drove local partners, donors, and the Y to collaborate in making these critical programs a reality through a newly constructed YMCA in Northampton County. A capital campaign to fundraise the cost of constructing the Y kicked off with key volunteers rallying for support from more than 40 donors. $4.5 million was raised in eight months – the fastest, widely supported capital campaign in the YMCA of South Hampton Roads’ history. With less than $50,000 remaining in the campaign, the Y is close to being 100% donor-funded.

The Global Wellness Summit Creates Scholarship to Promote Equity and Inclusion in the Wellness Industry

The new fund aims to create more inclusivity at the annual wellness event by providing financial assistance to a member of an underserved population to join the conference each year

The Global Wellness Summit (GWS), the foremost gathering of international leaders in the multitrillion-dollar global wellness economy, today formally announced “The Susie Ellis Scholarship for Equity in Wellness.” The new fund aims to create more inclusivity at the annual wellness event by providing financial assistance to a member of an underserved population to join the conference each year, ultimately empowering recipients to return to their local communities and become leaders in the wellness industry.

The new endowment was unveiled to delegates at this month’s Global Wellness Summit, which took place at the Encore Boston Harbor, Massachusetts, earlier this month, and was one of several special celebrations marking the event’s 15th anniversary. The scholarship will cover the recipient’s travel, hotel and registration. The application process to nominate candidates will launch Q1 2022 for next year’s Summit taking place in Tel Aviv, Israel, from October 30–November 2.

The scholarship is named for Susie Ellis, GWS Chair & CEO, who has been at the helm of the Summit and its sister non-profit organization, the Global Wellness Institute (GWI), since inception and is very vocal about her commitment to bringing more equity and inclusion to the wellness industry.

Upon being presented with the new fund, Susie Ellis said, “I believe that the wellness industry can do much more when it comes to fostering inclusion and equity; this is a simple but incredibly powerful step in democratizing our industry. I thank all the donors who have made it possible for us to put our mission statement of ‘Joining Together. Shaping the Future.’ into tangible action.”

Ellis explained, “In May 2020 the world was rocked by the murder of George Floyd and I became personally committed to doing more–much more–for equity and inclusion in the wellness industry.” Ellis rallied the GWS Advisory Board and the GWI Board of Directors, and together they catalyzed ideas and initiatives to address this. As a start, GWS started the “Dr. Is INclusive” webinar series with integrative physician, Nicola Finley, MD. In addition, the GWI is launching a new “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion” initiative, with the mission of creating a positive impact on the wellness of global society by promoting innovative wellness-based approaches that elevate and seed greater unity, respect and inclusion for all.

“The Susie Ellis Scholarship for Equity in Wellness grew out of my desire to honor Susie on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the GWS,” said Nancy Davis, Chief Creative Officer & Executive Director. “Susie has been vocal about the disparities in access in the wellness industry and has wanted to do something meaningful about it.”

To establish the scholarship, Davis reached out to a handful of like-minded, influential wellness supporters–Katrine and Bill Formby, Jill and Rick Stollmeyer, Lynne and Victor Brick, and the Szekely Family Foundation–and each contributed $10,000, creating a generous endowment that will fund the scholarship for the next several years.

“What a thrilling surprise to learn that Nancy Davis put together this brilliant scholarship program to promote equity and inclusion in the wellness world. I am so grateful to the first four contributors: GWI board member Rick Stollmeyer and his wife Jill, GWS board member Victor Brick and his wife Lynne, my mentor, Deborah Szekely and her family, and my twin sister, Katrine Formby and her husband Bill. It is my hope that we will be able to grow the fund so that multiple scholarships can be awarded each year and we can help keep the issue top of mind throughout the year to help motivate and inspire others in the wellness arena to do what they can for this important cause,” Ellis concluded.

“I am grateful to our inaugural donors for helping us expand the reach of the GWS and am thrilled to be able to honor Susie Ellis’ leadership, passion and vision in our industry,” said Davis. Anyone interested in contributing to this unique scholarship should email nancy.davis@globalwellnessinstitute.org.

The presentation of this scholarship as well as all mainstage keynotes, panels and speakers from the 2021 GWS are available through the Summit on Demand package, which is available for purchase here.

Registration to the 2022 Global Wellness Summit is now open, with early bird rates for a limited time.

About the Global Wellness Summit

The Global Wellness Summit is the premier organization that brings together leaders and visionaries to positively shape the future of the $4.4 trillion global wellness economy. GWS also hosts regular virtual gatherings, including Wellness Master Classes, Wellness Sector Spotlights and Investor “Reverse Pitch” events. Kyowa Hakko Announces the Results of Three New Consumer Surveys on Consumer Preferences

These latest results reinforce our commitment to researching and developing branded ingredients of the highest quality.

Kyowa Hakko, global leaders in the research, manufacturing, and purification of high-quality branded health ingredients, is pleased to announce that new data, from three recent consumer surveys, reveals that their branded Cognizin® Citicoline, Setria® Glutathione, and IMMUSE™ ingredients continue to resonate with consumer preferences.

The 2020 Council for Responsible Nutrition (CRN) Consumer Survey on Dietary Supplements surveyed 2,006 U.S. adults age 18+, including 1,471 adults who consume dietary supplements seasonally, occasionally, or regularly. Key findings from the report show that, when making purchasing decisions, supplement users prefer branded ingredients 2x over generic ingredients, regarding them as important purchasing factors.

Other big takeaways include that, when it comes to supporting their overall confidence in effectiveness and safety of dietary supplements, supplement users again prefer branded ingredients 2x over generic ingredients. Another 2021 survey conducted by CRN found that younger supplement users, 77% of those 18-34 and 74% of those 35-54, are more likely to have confidence in supplements with branded ingredients than those with generic ones. Additionally, 63% of supplement users are willing to pay a higher price when it comes to supplements with branded ingredients, and also agree that supplements made with branded ingredients can cost more because they are more effective and better quality.

Karen Todd, MBA, RD, Vice President of Global Brand Marketing at Kyowa Hakko U.S.A Inc., remarks, “These latest results reinforce our commitment to researching and developing branded ingredients of the highest quality. Receiving new data on how branded ingredients do, in fact, play a considerable role in positively influencing consumer purchasing habits, and their overall confidence in a finished supplement product, only further validates that our mission to provide health solutions through researched-backed ingredients is being increasingly well-received by consumers.”

Ingredient Transparency Center (ITC) also conducted a 2021 Consumer Supplements Survey to 1,000 US supplement consumers between April and June of 2021. The survey was segmented between supplement users for brain health, antioxidant, and immune products, coinciding with Kyowa Hakko’s different branded ingredient channels. The results remained consistent with the CRN survey, revealing that supplement users are positively influenced by branded ingredients when making purchasing decisions.

In fact, brain supplement users were highly encouraged to take a supplement more frequently if the products featured branded ingredients identified on the label (57%) or in marketing materials (53%), like Cognizin® Citicoline. For Citicoline supplement users purchasing citicoline in particular, quality certifications, seals and branded ingredients significantly impacted consumer trust. Compared to all supplement users, citicoline users tend to be encouraged by branded ingredients like Cognizin® Citicoline.

Similarly, antioxidant supplement users also tend to be encouraged by branded ingredients like Setria® Glutathione. In fact, 49% of antioxidant users’ purchasing decisions are significantly impacted by branded ingredients. When deciding which antioxidant supplements to purchase, over 80% of regular glutathione users in particular reported that branded ingredient logos like Setria® Glutathione on the package significantly impact their decisions.

For immune health, immune supplement users make up around 80% of all supplement users in the US, and, although postbiotics are a novel sector of immune health, 21% of immune supplement users are very or extremely familiar with them and 33% of Postbiotics supplement users always look for branded ingredients, like Kyowa Hakko’s branded IMMUSETM ingredient, when purchasing.

Celebrating over 60 years of innovation with trusted branded ingredients backed by science, Kyowa Hakko’s ingredients are made from an innovative fermentation process for the utmost quality and safety. Kyowa Hakko has conducted over 50 clinical trials that have been published in peer-reviewed journals, backing the efficacy and health claims behind its ingredients.

“Our unique processes, alongside our science, quality and safety have allowed us to deliver ingredients you can consistently count on. Not only are our ingredients clinically-studied, but we also have self-affirmed GRAS and Novel Food status for many of our ingredients, making them safe to use in multiple delivery formats, a must for today’s manufacturers and consumer,” comments Todd.

Kyowa Hakko also follows the latest marketing trends in Cognitive Health, Sports Nutrition, and Immune Health areas to further scientific research on their ingredients, strengthen current ingredient claims, and assist their manufacturers with co-developing unique products to fill gaps in the marketplace. “This is what we like to call the Kyowa Advantage,” adds Todd.

With its line of innovative branded ingredients including Setria® Glutathione, Setria® Performance Blend, Cognizin® Citicoline, Velox® Patented Performance Blend, and two new scientific breakthrough ingredients, IMMUSE™ and EYEMUSE™, along with its line of Kyowa Quality® ingredients, Kyowa Hakko is continuing to pave the way in the development, manufacturing, and marketing of high-quality, branded ingredients that consumers can count on.
