Dr. Robyn Graham Shares Her Own Journey with Anxiety in a Book to Help Teens & Their Parents Navigate Life with Anxiety

For teens and families living with anxiety, not being able to get a good night’s sleep, feeling irritable or angry, or having frequent unexplained physical symptoms aren’t things that one can just “get over”.

Dr. Robyn Graham, a former pharmacist, professional photographer, and successful business coach has published “You, Me, and Anxiety: Take Action Over Anxiety to Enjoy Being You.” The book is geared toward teens who suffer from anxiety and will also help parents identify anxiety in their child, recognize its symptoms, and help their child take intentional action to navigate anxiety, so that it no longer has a negative grip on their life.

Graham was motivated to write the book as a result of her own life-long struggles with anxiety. As a pharmacist, she witnessed the clinical implications of anxiety. As a teen and later as a mother, she lived with the social implications of anxiety. Since anxiety is often associated with complications such as eating disorders, drug addiction or suicide, Graham wanted to help teens and their parents to learn healthy coping strategies. It is her hope that once families take action over anxiety, they will be able to navigate life with it and lead joyful, purposeful lives together.

“Having lived with anxiety since childhood, I know what it is like to feel out of place and not be able to participate in many activities that my peers were involved in,” said Graham. “I’ve also had the experience of navigating anxiety as a parent of teens with anxiety. I want teens reading my book to learn that the sky is the limit, even though they have anxiety. My hope is that with this book, anxiety will become a subject people can talk about openly without shame or judgment.”

Graham’s book comes in a teen edition accompanied by a journal, as well as a parent edition. The journal inspires teens to take intentional action over anxiety using Graham’s signature 5 Cs journaling method for navigating anxiety, and provides a place to complete recommended exercises in the book. Since anxiety isn’t something one can simply “get over,” the parent edition has information that parents can use to help their teen navigate the challenges of anxiety.

“You, Me, and Anxiety: Take Action Over Anxiety to Enjoy Being You” is available for purchase as both a paperback and digital book at Amazon and Barnes & Noble and as a digital book at Apple Books.

About Dr. Robyn Graham:

Robyn Graham is passionate about serving others and helping women find clarity around their purpose in order to build personal brands and strong foundations for long-term business success. She is a business and mindset coach, host of The Robyn Graham Show podcast and the author of “You, Me, and Anxiety: Take Action Over Anxiety to Enjoy Being You.” The book focuses on helping teens and parents learn how to navigate life with anxiety. Both parent and teen editions are available with an accompanying journal.

Before becoming a business and mindset coach, Graham worked as a pharmacist and then transitioned to professional photography. As she grew her photography business, she saw the opportunity to help others build their personal brands. This led to her work as a business and mindset coach. Her focus as a coach is to help her clients navigate mindset barriers like fear and anxiety; create brand marketing strategies; and take intentional action to become confident in pursuing their purpose and navigate the digital world of entrepreneurship.

Graham is a wife, mom to three children, woman of faith, and serves on the executive board of directors for Face to Face Germantown, an organization located in Philadelphia, that offers a range of social services to people experiencing poverty. MLB All-Star and Olympian Todd Frazier Announces ‘Frazier Charity Fitness Challenge’ to Benefit Children’s Specialized Hospital

Frazier Charity Fitness Challenge

100 percent of every dollar raised will support the life changing care for nearly 40,000 local kids living with special healthcare needs who visit Children’s Specialized Hospital each year.

Just in time for Spring Training, Major League Baseball all-star Todd Frazier and his wife Jackie are teaming up with 1-800-Autoland and Eat Clean Bro to introduce the first-ever Frazier Charity Fitness Challenge, a family-friendly virtual workout event designed to help New Jersey residents get fit while raising funds in support of the Children’s Specialized Hospital Foundation’s Transforming Lives 2.0 capital campaign.

Beginning on March 10 and running 21 days – a nod to Todd’s baseball number – this engaging and fun effort will allow families, teams, or individuals to participate in an exciting daily fitness regimen alongside two of New Jersey’s most celebrated athletes. 100 percent of every dollar raised will support the life changing care for nearly 40,000 local kids living with special healthcare needs who visit Children’s Specialized Hospital each year. The top individual fundraiser will earn a live 1-on-1 virtual workout or conditioning session with the Fraziers, along with other fun prizes. To register, participants can visit http://www.getfit4csh.org.

“In designing the Frazier Charity Fitness Challenge, Jackie and I have combined our love of fitness with a meaningful, rewarding campaign that will positively affect the NJ community we care for so much,” said Frazier. “Together with friends and families who join us for the challenge, we can make a big difference in the lives of the children that need it most.”

Funds raised will benefit the initiatives of the Transforming Lives 2.0 capital campaign, including a new 86,000-square-foot medical hub in Toms River, home of Todd and Jackie Frazier. Last week, Children’s Specialized Hospital, Community Medical Center and RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group celebrated the groundbreaking of the new site, with the Fraziers in attendance alongside other community leaders to support CSH Foundation’s Transforming Lives 2.0 campaign. Once complete in early 2023, over 48,000-square-feet of space will bring together specialized outpatient services currently offered at the CSH Toms River Lakehurst Road and Stevens Road sites to one convenient location.

“Together with Todd, Jackie, and all who join us for the Frazier Fitness Challenge, we’ll positively impact NJ kids living with special healthcare needs,” said Mark Montenero, Transforming Lives 2.0 campaign co-chair and President of Autoland Toyota, Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge and Ram Trucks route 22 Springfield NJ. “We have an ambitious goal to raise $45 million for Children’s Specialized Hospital by 2023, and Todd and Jackie have stepped up to not only help us reach our goal, but to make it fun, too.”

“Partnering with Children’s Specialized Hospital and Jackie and Todd Frazier was an easy choice for us,” said Kayla Giovinazzo, CEO, Eat Clean Bro. “We are all about being healthy in mind, body and spirit and we believe strongly in giving back to our community.”

CSH currently serves nearly 40,000 children annually at 15 NJ locations spanning from Clifton to Egg Harbor. By 2023, the hospital will expand its reach even further with four new locations in Toms River, Eatontown, Bayonne and Union. Philanthropic gifts to the campaign will directly support the infrastructure expansion, technological advancements, and the important and innovative research that will change the future of pediatric health. From vital programs and services to groundbreaking research, 100 percent of every dollar received goes directly to helping thousands of children with special healthcare needs in New Jersey and beyond. You can hear from some of the inspiring families that have been impacted here.

Aquasana Partners with Marathon Kids to Help U.S. Children Stay Active, Hydrated and Healthy

Image of Marathon Kids and Aquasana "EAT, HYDRATION, MOVE" for National Nutrition Month

Aquasana is partnering with Marathon Kids this National Nutrition Month to help children “EAT, HYDRATE, MOVE” toward a lifetime of wellness.

As a parent, keeping our kids healthy, hydrated and active is more important – and challenging – than ever. We are proud to support Marathon Kids in directly impacting the lives of school children here in Austin and across the nation.

Marathon Kids is once again teaming up with Aquasana, maker of award-winning water filtration products for the home and on-the-go, to help school children establish strong, healthy foundations. During National Nutrition Month, the two Austin-based organizations – together with a panel of medical, nutrition and culinary experts – are raising awareness and emphasizing the need for kids to eat healthfully, hydrate with clean, filtered water, and stay physically active for a lifetime of wellness.

Celebrated each March, National Nutrition Month® is an annual campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to highlight the importance of healthful eating and physical activity habits. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), about 1 in 5 American children have obesity. Starting today, Aquasana and Marathon Kids will give away prizes to promote the theme of EAT, HYDRATE, MOVE, including Aquasana’s reusable water filter bottles, which remove up to 99% of bacteria, lead, chlorine, cryptosporidium, and giardia from tap water for hydrating on the go. Visit @Aquasana and @MarathonKids on Instagram for details.

Additionally, Aquasana and Marathon Kids tapped a panel of experts to provide insight into the critical role that healthful eating, proper hydration and physical activity play in achieving proper nutrition and overall wellness. Families can visit Aquasana.com to find everyday tips from a nationally recognized family physician and parenting expert; chef, author and host of a children’s TV show promoting healthy eating; and team of nutritional science scholars from the Michael & Susan Dell Center for Healthy Living, UTHealth School of Public Health.

Marathon Kids’ purpose is to increase daily physical activity by engaging kids in a positive, goal-driven program that challenges them to run, jog, walk or move over the course of a season. The program uses a volunteer-led coaching model combining award-winning technology and evidence-based practices to build a structured physical education program. Active kids need plenty of water daily, and they can work with their Marathon Kids coaches to set hydration goals along with their daily distance targets.

“Aquasana is thrilled to help a locally-based organization like Marathon Kids set children on a long and healthy path through adulthood,” said Derek Mellencamp, General Manager at Aquasana. “We believe having access to clean, filtered water is essential to overall wellness and proper nutrition. As a parent, keeping our kids healthy, hydrated and active is more important – and challenging – than ever. We are proud to support Marathon Kids in directly impacting the lives of school children here in Austin and across the nation.”

Research shows that when kids feel healthy, they perform better in school, make better choices, and exhibit better behavior. For 26 years, Marathon Kids has transformed the lives of millions of children through running programs at schools, community-based organizations, and camps. The non-profit will use Aquasana’s donation to help more children of all backgrounds and abilities access the non-profit’s programming, set healthy habits and achieve more than they ever thought possible.

About Marathon Kids

Marathon Kids shows kids through running that they can achieve more than they ever thought possible. Kids in the program work at their own pace to run or walk the equivalent mileage of four marathons (or more!). They run one lap at a time, one day at a time, and before they know it, they’ve gone farther than they ever dreamed. Kids enrolled in the program have a network of dedicated adults showing them how it’s done, and most importantly, a motivated and inspiring coach supporting them every step of the way. The 9th Annual International Pediatric Feeding Disorder Conference Offers Access To More Than Forty Internationally Renowned Feeding Experts

News Image

“Our conference is uniquely beneficial in that it offers education on evidence-based assessment and management of pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) in combination with clinical experience and human stories,” said Jaclyn Pederson, chief executive officer of Feeding Matters.

Arizona-based nonprofit Feeding Matters, the first organization in the world dedicated to advancing the system of care for pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) is proud to host the upcoming 9th annual International Pediatric Feeding Disorder Conference (IPFDC). The IPFDC 2022 will be streamed live April 21-22, 2022, with pre-conference events on April 20, 2022. All sessions will be available on-demand for thirty days post-conference.

The two-day conference is the largest of its kind and is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, has been approved to offer Continuing Professional Education Units by American Occupational Therapy Association and by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for the live event. Additionally, Feeding Matters has met the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) requirements and been registered for ASHA CEUs. The event is also endorsed by the North American Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, & Nutrition (NASPGHAN).

Feeding Matters recognizes the importance of a collaborative care model and invites all healthcare disciplines to attend the IPFDC. Every healthcare professional will receive a certificate with CE hours along with a program syllabus that can be submitted to their respective association. The event is presented by Reckitt/Mead Johnson Nutrition and underwritten by several additional sponsors.

Since 2008, the IPFDC has been a leader in providing evidence-based education for the evaluation and treatment of children with PFD featuring intermediate and advanced-level sessions formatted into lightning talks, breakout sessions, and keynote presentations. This year’s conference will bring together a lineup of more than 40 of the pediatric feeding community’s foremost experts, leaders, and contributors.

As Feeding Matters continues to serve and support individual families impacted by PFD, like Athena Flicek and her 3-year-old son, Ari, who struggled with feeding since birth, the IPFDC is also designed with the family attendee in mind. Prior to receiving resources from Feeding Matters and a subsequent diagnosis, Flicek was often met with inaccurate diagnoses, hurtful dialog and left to feel like an inadequate mother. The Flicek family was running out of options as her newborn constantly choked and vomited on solid foods. That all changed when Athena found Feeding Matters and got aligned with the right healthcare professionals, therapists and community. Ari is one of thousands of stories of hope and support through Feeding Matters and even in the face of difficult odds, this conference helps pave the way for widespread awareness to reach families like theirs. In continued effort to heighten the individual family engagement experience, there will be reduced cost and pre-conference options specifically designed for families impacted by PFD.

Visit this link to learn more about all of this year’s internationally renowned presenters. You may also view their biographies and disclosures here. To register for the conference and learn more about pre-conference events with an opportunity to receive continuing education visit: 9th International PFD Conference.

“When it comes to world-class conferences that offer opportunities for healthcare professionals to learn the latest improvements, connect with like-minded colleagues and generate momentum for change in their fields, we know that the medical community has many options,” said Jaclyn Pederson, chief executive officer of Feeding Matters. “Our conference is uniquely beneficial in that it offers education on evidence-based assessment and management of pediatric feeding disorder (PFD) in combination with clinical experience and human stories like Ari’s, and the 1 in 37 children under the age of 5 in the US like him, afflicted with PFD. This collaborative and inclusive approach improves health outcomes for children with PFD and helps leaders from each of the four domains (medical, feeding skill, nutrition, and psychosocial) to better serve our patients and families,” Pederson concluded.

To secure your registration or see the complete schedule with session descriptions for the year’s most prolific and informative pediatric feeding conference, visit International Pediatric Feeding Disorder Conference.

About Feeding Matters

For kids with pediatric feeding disorder (PFD), every bite of food can be painful, scary, or simply impossible to swallow, potentially impeding nutrition, development, growth, and overall well-being. Yet, there is no functional system of care for PFD locally, nationally, or internationally. That’s why Feeding Matters is dedicated to creating a world where children with pediatric feeding disorder will thrive. Established in 2006, Feeding Matters is the first organization in the world uniting the concerns of families with the field’s leading advocates, experts, and allied healthcare professionals to ignite unprecedented change to the system of care through advocacy, education, support, and research – including a stand-alone diagnosis, the International Pediatric Feeding Disorder Conference, and the Infant and Child Feeding Questionnaire. In 2019, Feeding Matters reached more than 125,000 individuals in 50 states and 143 countries through their programs and website. Ellenos Launches Four New Flavors at Natural Products Expo West 2022

News Image

Ellenos, the cult favorite yogurt brand that originated in Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Market, has announced the addition of three new flavors to its everyday lineup: Pink Guava, Strawberry, and Coffee. They are also launching a new limited-edition flavor, Cherry Pie, which will be available May-August 2022. The brand will be sampling all four of these new flavors, along with some of their best-selling flavors like Marionberry, Lemon Curd, and Key Lime Pie, at Booth N840 during the Natural Products Expo West tradeshow on March 9-11 in Anaheim, CA.

  • Pink Guava: Sweetened yogurt paired with tart-but-sweet pink guava puree
  • Strawberry: Sweetened yogurt with Pacific Northwest strawberry puree
  • Coffee: Coffee-infused yogurt layered with sweetened yogurt
  • Cherry Pie: Sweetened yogurt paired with tart cherry pie filling and topped with butter cookie crumble

“We’re really excited to get back to Expo West and share what we’ve been working on,” said Alex Apostolopoulos, co-founder of Ellenos, “It takes a lot of time and care to make our yogurt by hand, and we make our fruit purees from scratch, too, so getting to experience people trying it- whether it’s their first bite of Ellenos ever or they’re discovering a new flavor- is really energizing. It reminds us why we do what we do, and more importantly, why we do it the way we do.”

Each batch of Ellenos is handcrafted from scratch over a five-day process, using ingredients like local, rBST-free milk, Pacific Northwest marionberries, and Ecuadorian purple passion fruit. The yogurt first gained popularity as a fresh-scooped yogurt bar in Seattle’s iconic Pike Place Market. Over the last few years, Ellenos has been expanding into cupped yogurt, selling to natural and conventional grocery stores. The brand is currently the best-selling yogurt in the Pacific Northwest at key retailers and has recently expanded into several new markets, including the Southwest, Midwest, and Mid-Atlantic.

About Ellenos:

Ellenos is available in flavors like Marionberry, Lemon Curd, and Passion Fruit, along with limited-edition flavors like Pumpkin Pie, Brownie Batter, and Cherry Pie. Ellenos also recently introduced its Scoop Shop Favorites line (previously Pike Place Collection), a dessert-inspired line of indulgent flavors topped with cookie crumble, that includes flavors like Key Lime Pie, Strawberry Shortcake, and Apple Crisp. About Adam Bremen, Founder of CanDo

My name is Adam Bremen and I am the Founder of CanDo – maker of Keto Krisp protein bars!

At CanDo, our mission is to inspire and empower everyone to live a healthier lifestyle every day.

Why? I was born with Cerebral Palsy and have used an electric wheelchair to move around my entire life. From an early age, my parents instilled in me that life is about what I CAN DO, not what I can’t do.

It is this very spirit that propels us forward, pushes us to seek better, do better.

And it is this spirit that defines our drive to make the best products we can.

At 42, I was overweight and needed to make a change. I transitioned to a keto-based diet and began exercising daily. I lost 65lbs! During my weight loss journey, I couldn’t find an on-the-go snack that tasted good.
