Thousands to Complete “The Manion WOD” Workout, Honoring Fallen Marine Hero and supporting Travis Manion Foundation


“The Manion WOD is our reminder that by challenging ourselves, we can honor the heroes who have gone before us,” said Ryan Manion, President, Travis Manion Foundation

Honoring the sacrifice of 1stLt Travis Manion (USMC) and other military heroes, nearly 200 gyms, ruck clubs and community groups across the country are hosting a “Manion WOD” (Workout of the Day) to raise funds for Travis Manion Foundation (TMF), one of the leading veteran service organizations in the country.

The Manion WOD, taking place nationwide April 28-April 30, consists of a 400-meter run (or ruck) and 29 back squats, for 7 rounds; representing 4/29/07 – the date 1stLt Travis Manion (USMC) was killed while saving his wounded teammates in Iraq. Manion WOD is one of CrossFit’s Hero WODs – a series of workouts meant to honor the memories of service members who made the ultimate sacrifice.

This year, nearly 2,000 participants will complete the Manion WOD individually or at participating gyms and ruck clubs nationwide to raise funds for TMF veteran initiatives such as service and leadership expeditions, veteran-empowerment programs, and character development courses. Pro Padel League to Hold Historic Inaugural Season on Florida’s Sports Coast at Sarah Vande Berg Tennis & Wellness Center

Today, the Pro Padel League (PPL) – North America’s first professional Padel league – is excited to announce that they will be hosting their historic inaugural season in partnership with Florida’s Sports Coast (Pasco County, Fla.) at the Sarah Vande Berg (SVB) Tennis & Wellness Center.

Starting May 13, 2023, the regular season will take place over the course of five weekends with seven teams in competition and conclude with the championship weekend taking place June 10-11, 2023, where there will be a semifinal round followed by the two best teams competing in the finals for the PPL CUP. During the first season, teams will be comprised of four active players including two men, and two women, and four alternates, and will follow the international scoring format. Attracting Padel fans from around the world for the first weekend of competition, 84 of the world’s top Padel players will be competing in the PPL’s inaugural season.

“The SVB Tennis & Wellness Center is not only one of the top facilities in Florida, but in the U.S.,” said Marcos Del Pilar, PPL Commissioner. “They are strong supporters of Padel and great operators to hold our inaugural PPL season at. In addition to the growing number of ATP players becoming involved in the PPL such as Miami Team Advisor Juan Martin del Potro (2009 US Open Champion), San Diego Team Owner, Tommy Haas (former ATP Tour #2 Singles Player), San Diego free agent Jared Palmer (former ATP Tour #1 Doubles Player), it is catching the attention of other elite professional athletes and celebrities such as Toronto Team Owner, Sebastian Giovinco (MLS MVP).

The PPL’s first Player Draft was held on March 20, 2023, and received approximately 500 hundred applications from top North American and international players from Australia, Asia, South America, the United Kingdom, and Europe.

The PPL’s mission is to create a premier sports league providing a national stage for the sport while generating nationwide awareness and excitement for Padel. Something that has never been done before, the PPL will provide players and fans with a new platform that showcases Padel and grows participation in the sport.

Currently, Padel has over 25 million players worldwide and is growing in popularity in the U.S. with the number of Padel courts set to double in 2023. Over 8 million players are projected to be playing in the U.S. by 2030. BMI Imaging’s Bi-Weekly Newsletter, “The Digital Imaging Newsletter,” Surpasses 300 Subscribers


Being able to consistently provide new content to our subscribers is one of the key parts of the Digital Imaging Newsletter.

The content in The Digital Imaging Newsletter is dedicated to education and information about digital imaging projects, services, and events. Examples include blogs about our microfilm scanning process and our internal security audit, videos about our Digital ReeL application and paper scanning projects, and information on upcoming webinars, to name a few.

Bi-weekly emails (every other Tuesday) hit the right note of not too much and overload.
