Lead Singer of Five Finger Death Punch, Ivan L. Moody, Announces New Product Lines for Moody’s Medicinals, Launch Event at The Grove in Las Vegas

Ivan Moody for Moody’s Medicinals

I am not able to eat on a normal schedule when I’m out on tour, so these products help manage my appetite, as well.

Moody’s Medicinals, a health and wellness innovator specializing in both Cannabidiol (“CBD”) and non-CBD health and wellness products launched its first trailblazing line of high-quality products in June 2019. The company is now introducing a new range of sugar-free AM and PM shots, as well as a new personal CBD diffuser pen that can be enjoyed in three formulas: Relax (made with organic blackberry and blueberry waters), Energize (made with organic grapefruit and orange waters) and Silver Bullet (made with menthol and mint with vitamin B12 and ginseng).

The official launch event for the new products will be at The Grove (4647 Swenson St., Las Vegas, NV 89119) on Saturday, November 2 at 1:00 p.m. Five Finger Death Punch will be kicking off their Fall 2019 U.S. Arena Headlining Tour with two exclusive shows in their hometown of Las Vegas on November 1 and 2 at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.

The Moody’s Medicinals AM Shot is a refreshing Raspberry Lemonade flavor and the PM Shot is a calming Lemon Iced Tea flavor. Both shots are certified pure CBD.

Five Finger Death Punch’s world-renowned lead vocalist, Ivan L. Moody, created the company because taking CBD helped him personally manage his anxiety symptoms, PTSD, and OCD. However, he noticed a gap in the marketplace concerning the extreme amounts of additives the competitors used. He set out to deliver a variety of CBD & non-CBD health and wellness products that do not contain sugars, alcohols, and unnecessary additives.

Ivan Moody realized that Moody’s Medicinals could provide better ingredients, quality, and potency across its products. “It became important for us to continue listening and innovating based on all of the ways people have made Moody’s Medicinals a part of their lives. The AM and PM shots will not only complement the additional products I used to tame my anxiety, but they can help me start and finish the day calm and focused. I am not able to eat on a normal schedule when I’m out on tour, so these products help manage my appetite, as well,” said Ivan L. Moody, creator of Moody’s Medicinals.

All of the Moody’s Medicinals product lines are available for purchase online at MoodysMedicinals.com. The new products are available for pre-order.

The company continues to comply in full with all federal, state, and local laws, rules, and regulations as the company develops its CBD/hemp extract product lines.

TGA Premier Sports Expands into 76th U.S. Market with new chapter on California’s Central Coast

https://www.prweb.com/

Through TGA’s dynamic curriculum, we will incorporate station-based athletic skill development activities, STEAM Labs to explore educational concepts through sports, and key life lessons

TGA Premier Sports (TGA), the leading force introducing youth sports into schools and communities through programs that combine athletics and academics, continues its nationwide expansion into its 76th U.S. market, California’s Central Coast. On pace to enroll its one-millionth participant by 2020, TGA’s youth sports “delivery system” is helping strengthen families and communities and reverse trends of declining youth sports participation in cities across the country leading to healthier lifestyles.

TGA’s sustainable, scalable model of before- and after-school enrichment programs and local sports camps has become one of the nation’s most impactful developers of community-based sports programs for kids ages five to 13.

TGA Premier Sports Central Coast in Ventura County, Calif. was launched by Kristin Hatfield, a local executive, inventor, entrepreneur, working mom of two kids and lifelong athlete, as a way to give back to the community that helped shaped her passion for sports and its many rewards.

Hatfield, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Business and Economics degree from Humboldt State University, has been the owner and operator of a river rafting company, an environmental consultant, a regional sales manager in the medical billing industry and vice president of sales in convention services. She is also owner and inventor of EquiptBaby, creator of the Comfy Canopy, a collapsible, portable bassinet that weighs less than an ounce.

Having seen the impact and successful engagement TGA has had in other communities, Hatfield recently decided it was her time to give back. “TGA is a community of people who are giving back to our youth in our local communities. I want to show up and be there with the children,” she says. “I want to be the first person who puts a golf club or tennis racquet in a child’s hands or teaches them to dig a volleyball. I want TGA programs to be the best part of their day. The feeling of accomplishment through sports has no comparison!”

TGA Premier Sports Central Coast offers TGA Premier Golf, Tennis, Ultimate and Volleyball and will also be the first TGA Chapter to offer a Beach Volleyball curriculum. “This past summer, with the support of my local beach HOA, I did a soft opening for TGA Central Coast and hosted a Beach Volleyball camp. The TGA volleyball curriculum is awesome and I just made some slight tweaks to incorporate the sand. The diving drill was the kids’ favorite along with serving into the target for points,” Hatfield says.

Hatfield’s territory includes the coastal communities in Ventura County. “We’re coordinating with Los Olivios Golf Course and the School’s PTA to organize a fundraiser that incorporates families playing golf together and raises funds for the PTA at local schools in the Ventura Unified School District,” she says. The chapter will also be hosting its first Fall Break Tennis Camp on the courts of a local high school in October.

With Hatfield’s new franchise, thousands of youngsters will be impacted in and around California’s Central Coast. “When children engage in sports, they begin to build and nurture skills that allow them to strive to become our future leaders. Through TGA’s dynamic curriculum, we will incorporate station-based athletic skill development activities, STEAM Labs to explore educational concepts through sports, and key life lessons including teamwork, sportsmanship, perseverance, and leadership,” she adds.

TGA impacts communities by introducing sports that empower kids directly into schools and community centers through before- or after-school enrichment programs, spurring participation in a way that starts at the grassroots level but has national implications.

“Kristin Hatfield has incredible enthusiasm for her community, sports and how together they can change the lives of youth and families,” says TGA CEO Joshua Jacobs. “Using TGA’s blueprint will allow her to customize the local experience families will get through TGA programs. On the coast, beach volleyball is in the fabric of the culture, so it’s a natural that Kristin would take this new program offering and run with it. She’s going to be an amazing asset to the families in her community.”

TGA creates an accessible player pathway for students and their families to build on their new-found sports passion and advance further in the sports. From introductory programs, to recreational camps, clinics and family programs, engagement in these programs can lead to juniors playing on high school and college teams. With registration fees at less than $200, TGA’s six-week enrichment programs are also extremely affordable for families interested in starting their kids in a sports program.

TGA provides all of the equipment for kids at no cost in the program, including its own line of custom golf and tennis equipment to provide all players an affordable option to get into the sport. The program can also be utilized anywhere on school campuses regardless of weather, including gymnasiums, hallways, cafeterias, fields and blacktops.

Through donations that funds scholarships, the TGA Sports Foundation is enabling kids who wouldn’t otherwise take up the sport to learn and grow from it. “Our goal is to impact the development of a child’s sports career throughout all levels of the player pathway,” Jacobs says. “Introducing youth to sports and creating a passion is one thing, but engaging a child who exhibits talents and giving them the tools to grow continue on with a sport is more important.”

Families and schools nationwide have embraced the TGA model and its programs because it creates a healthier and safer environment for students at schools and community centers. The school-based curriculum includes tennis skill progression, education subjects and STEM/STEAM Labs, in addition to physical fitness and health components.

About TGA Premier Sports

TGA franchises can be found in more than 76 markets across 28 states, as well as internationally in Canada and Spain. Its continued growth has impacted over 825,000 youth and made these sports available to 1.75 million families through its education-based programs and the TGA Sports Foundation, which provides access for all children and promotes the physical, educational, social, and character-building elements of these sports.

Landmark Furniture & Mattresses for Less President Brad Taylor Calls Out Fellow Furniture Industry Leaders in the Houston Area While Donating $30K

Mattresses for Less & Landmark Furniture have teamed up with the Houston Furniture Bank and have committed $30k to keep Houston children off the floor. This significant donation to the Houston Furniture Bank and the #nokidsonthefloor movement, aims to alleviate the “where to sleep” issue for children in poverty, who are sleeping on the floor in the Greater Houston Area.

Studies have shown that kids who regularly get an adequate amount of sleep have improved attention, behavior, learning, memory and overall mental and physical health. Not getting enough sleep can lead to high blood pressure, obesity and even depression.

In Houston, one in six families lives under the federal poverty line. 500K Houston families make less than half of that same federal poverty threshold.

Many of the families who come through the door at the Houston Furniture Bank explain they do not have mattresses for their children.

Mattresses for Less and Landmark Furniture owner Brad Taylor took to social media to help champion the #nokidsonthefloor cause by calling out fellow furniture and mattress retailers in the Houston area to step up and donate to this worthy cause.

“The truth is, anyone can help! It only takes $150 to get a child off the floor and sleeping comfortably on a bed set!” Brad said. “If we work together, we can help end this problem and help everyone rest more comfortably!”

Founded in 1997, Mattresses for Less and Landmark Furniture has grown from one man’s dream to one of the fastest-growing furniture retailers in Houston. Mattresses for Less and Landmark Furniture are a family-run business, that believes in working hard, being honest to customers, and bringing people the widest selection of name-brand mattresses and bedroom furniture at the best prices. Everyone deserves an affordable, comfortable mattress and a better night’s sleep.

A World Free of Preventable Disease

https://www.prweb.com/

Our readers are looking for the science behind wellness and inspiration to lead healthy, happy lives, so we are eager to share each month’s Moonshot theme with them. My hope is that we’ll continue to build a community of people committed to personal and global health.

The Global Wellness Institute™ (GWI), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to empower wellness worldwide by educating the public and private sectors about preventative health and wellness, today announced a special collaboration with Hearst’s Prevention magazine for 2020. Every month, Prevention will dedicate a full page to the theme of the GWI’s The Wellness Moonshot Calendar. The calendar will be featured in both print and digital editions of the magazine, inspiring an additional 13 million people to eradicate preventable, chronic diseases and reduce the staggering human and economic costs associated with them.

“Prevention has been a trusted health resource and wellness thought-leader for 70 years, so partnering with the Global Wellness Institute on The Wellness Moonshot was a natural fit,” says Sarah Smith, content director, Prevention. “Our readers are looking for the science behind wellness and inspiration to lead healthy, happy lives, so we are eager to share each month’s Moonshot theme with them. My hope is that we’ll continue to build a community of people committed to personal and global health.”

The Wellness Moonshot Calendar concept was conceived and designed by Jessica Jesse, CEO of BuDhaGirl, and revolves around the cycles of the full moon, the period of the lunar cycle that emits the most vibrant energy, inspiring new ideas and habits. The 2020 calendar takes its cues from nature, and Jesse says, “Preventing chronic disease is something everyone at every level can do. The Moonshot Calendar was designed to help individuals, families, companies and communities champion wellness in a creative, engaging manner. The moon is always with us; it is a great anchor of energy, of time, of myth and of hope.”

As we embrace a new year, January is about “emerge”—what it means to grow as wellness leaders who consciously empower the health and happiness of our families, workplaces and communities, while also cultivating our personal wellbeing. For February, the theme is “include,” highlighting the joy that comes when we embrace wholeness at work and at home, as well as within ourselves. Renee Moorefield, CEO of Wisdom Works, curates each month’s tips and articles.

“The Wellness Moonshot Calendar’s impact is growing exponentially. Last year, our focus was on wellness in the workplace, where we engaged with the leaders of over 350 businesses and organizations reaching over 500,000 individuals to get them to commit to healthier work cultures,” says Susie Ellis, GWI chairman and CEO. “We are thrilled to be extending the reach of The Wellness Moonshot to the readers of Prevention magazine and providing them with a monthly roadmap for meaningful change.”

As an umbrella organization that brings together often siloed forces and sectors all working to build a healthier world, the GWI is committed to bringing the issue of preventable disease to the forefront of its research and education efforts. The Wellness Moonshot: A World Free of Preventable Disease was launched in 2017 at the Global Wellness Summit by Ellis and Dr. Richard H. Carmona, 17th Surgeon General of the United States and current chief of health innovation, Canyon Ranch.

Dr. Mehmet C. Oz, professor of surgery, Columbia University and host of The Dr. Oz Show, commented at the launch: “We have to be brave enough to take on this Moonshot—we really need to accelerate the focus on prevention.”

Organizations and individuals can support The Wellness Moonshot and receive the 2020 calendar by making a donation to the nonprofit GWI, signifying their commitment to creating a culture of wellness within their organization or community.

San Luis Obispo Dentist, Douglas Ng, D.D.S., Releases Dental Care Tips For The Holidays

dentist San Luis Obispo

We all give in to temptation during the holidays, but following solid dental habits help keep our teeth healthy.

“Everyone enters the Holiday season with promises to not overdo it,” says San Luis Obispo dentist, Dr. Douglas Ng. “Most of us are going to give in to temptation, and the best insurance for keeping our teeth healthy is a good dental hygiene program and counterbalance sugary foods with healthy food.”

Dr. Ng has some tips to help people have a great Holiday season and stay on top of their dental health. Along with the usual, and very important, advice to try to minimize alcohol, sweets, and other rich foods, the following tips help keep everyone on the dental health path.

The report includes tips and information about the following topics Read the full report on Dr. Ng’s website.

  • Pack a kit to help stick to the daily dental care routine: The kit includes floss, mouthwash, disposable toothbrushes, and maybe even some breath-freshening strips. Disposable toothbrushes, or special tooth wipes, can be thrown away instead of storing a wet toothbrush that might become a bacteria trap. Floss picks are less effective for reaching below the gum line to remove plaque than regular floss, but they are better than nothing during a busy day.
  • Drink plenty of water: Staying hydrated is good for overall health, and helps avoid dry mouth that can lead to gum disease and tooth decay. The busier the season, the more important it is to stay hydrated. The American Dental Association (ADA) reports that even though sparkling water is slightly more acidic to teeth, plain water and sparkling water are “all just plain water to your teeth.”
  • Choose plaque-fighting food: Good news! Holiday turkey is good for your teeth! Healthy food is good for overall health and dental health. There are some foods that are especially helpful for creating saliva and for helping remove plaque. These include: Apples, celery and carrots. The protein, casein, in cheese prevents acid from attacking tooth enamel. Nibble on cheese between sips to help protect your teeth until you can brush and floss.
  • Sip and nibble: Definitely give yourself permission to enjoy the feasting and drinking during the Holidays. There are not too many people who have the will power to not indulge just a little. But, instead of drinking the wine or the cocktail, or crunching that piece of hard candy, consider sipping and nibbling.
  • Don’t open anything with your teeth: When scissors are not available don’t try tearing the gift ribbon with your teeth! “Get up and get the scissors,” says the San Luis Obispo dentist. Don’t pull the cork out of the wine bottle with your teeth. Don’t crack even soft-shelled nuts with your teeth or crunch down on hard candy.
  • Schedule a post-Holiday dental appointment now: Schedule a post-holiday examination and teeth cleaning early instead of waiting until after the Holidays. For one thing, scheduling early is one less thing on the list of things to do. And, the appointment won’t keep getting put off during that after-holiday recovery slump.

Twenty Year Veteran of Massage Therapy launches new self-care tool on Kickstarter

Idea Incubator Inc. is innovating again. This time the product design company is drawing from its founder, Marni Peters’, experience as a massage therapist. After a personal battle with plantar fasciitis, Marni and her team began working on a self-care tool that would assist and help resolve foot pain. After two years of trial, re-evaluation, and redesign they are about to deliver the best new self-care tool to keep foot pain at bay.

According to a survey by the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), completed in May 2014, “Nearly 8 out of 10 Americans have experienced foot pain and those who suffer from chronic foot pain are significantly more likely to have pain in other parts of their body”.

“As a massage therapist, I realized foot pain was an epidemic and wanted to offer something everyone could use at home to help prevent and resolve foot pain. There are plenty of products on the market that address foot issues, but none that allow you to use the techniques we use as massage therapists. The patent pending Foot Therapist™ fills that gap,” explains Marni. “The Foot Therapist is designed to be an adjunct to the multi-disciplinary approach that is needed to create healthy feet. In addition to self-care at home, professional help can assist you in addressing the root cause of your pain,” says Marni.

The Foot Therapist is like having a massage therapist at home 24/7. It uniquely targets the small muscles and fascia of the foot to help relieve tight, strained tissue. The ultimate goal is for everyone to enjoy happy, healthy, flexible feet.

Marni and her team are launching The Foot Therapist™ on Kickstarter October 1, 2019. They need to raise $30,000 to bring this tool to life. Having dealt with the headaches associated with overseas manufacturing, they decided to look closer to home. They successfully found a reputable manufacturer in their hometown. “Knowing we have all the pieces in place to create a beautiful, functional, self-care tool is exciting. It’s also exciting to work with a manufacturer who shares our values regarding the environment and quality of work. We want our tool to last as long as you need it; and perhaps be passed on to the next generation,” Marni says.

Pricing and availability: The Foot Therapist launches on Kickstarter October 1, 2019. Pre-order early and save.
