NASHVILLE, Tenn. (PRWEB)

Fitness Machine Technicians, specialists in the maintenance and repair of exercise equipment for commercial and residential customers, announced it will open its first location in Tennessee today. Dudley Jacobs of Nashville will own and manage the local office.
Fitness Machine Technicians operates in more than 70 markets across the country and offers service, repair and maintenance on a variety of exercise equipment in fitness centers, universities, high schools, hotels, apartment complexes, corporate gyms and private residences.
Jacobs became interested in the exercise equipment repair industry after experiencing both the literal and physical headaches of trying to get his own treadmill fixed. An avid runner, he spent hours searching for a local technician to visit his home after the treadmill stopped working during marathon training. Unable to find a qualified tech to return his call and schedule a visit, Jacobs decided to take matters into his own hands by buying the parts online and doing the repair himself – which turned out to be a big mistake.
Unfortunately, he incorrectly tensioned the running belt and during a long run one day the treadmill came to a very abrupt halt. Jacobs tripped on the belt and crashed off the deck – and was quite lucky his injury was not permanent or disabling. Having to remove the damaged equipment from an upstairs room and dealing with the delivery, installation and assembly of a new treadmill was even further frustration. The whole experience caused him to think that there had to be an easier way to find help when an exercise machine malfunctioned. And that’s when he learned about Fitness Machine Technicians.
As a 25-year resident of Middle Tennessee, Jacobs has spent his professional career working with customer-facing technical systems for hotels, hospitals, universities and other facilities where large groups of people congregate. His business leadership background and passionate focus on excellent customer experience will serve the Nashville office well. Other members of the FMT Nashville team include managers Robert Kennedy and Erik Rickert, whom have worked with Jacobs for over 10 years, and a group of certified technicians who are qualified, insured and trained to work on all brands of exercise equipment.
Jacobs states, “I know that my fitness routine has radically transformed my body and mind. When something interrupts that rhythm the impact is felt almost immediately in my personal, professional and mental life. Fitness Machine Technicians of Nashville is 100% committed to help keep you and your machines going.”
Since its inception, Fitness Machine Technicians has been delivering high-quality service, repair and preventive maintenance services to customers across the nation.
