Blink Fitness & Sworkit Logos

We see this partnering as a natural evolution of the fitness industry where the lines between physical and digital offerings continue to blur, but now at an accelerated rate.

Blink Fitness has partnered with leading fitness app Sworkit to provide members with access to customizable at-home workouts. COVID-19 has forced gym closures across the nation; Blink and Sworkit have designed a product offering that will provide at-home workouts to ensure Blink Fitness members can stay physically active and motivated when away from the gym. Customizable and pre-planned workouts are now available through a Sworkit integration in the Blink Fitness app.

“This integration could not be timelier,” states Sworkit CEO, Greg Coleman. He continues by saying, “We see this partnering as a natural evolution of the fitness industry where the lines between physical and digital offerings continue to blur, but now at an accelerated rate.”

“We’re so excited to be partnering with a likeminded brand like Sworkit during this pivotal time for fitness,” said Blink Fitness CEO, Todd Magazine. “Accessible and personalized content matters more than ever before and we remain committed to providing the highest quality tools for our members.”

Mediaplanet and Dr. Mark Hyman Team Up to raise awareness about the link between lifestyle and chronic diseases

News Image

This campaign will serve as a resource for Americans who are seeking treatment options for chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease.

Helping to conclude National Nutrition Month, Mediaplanet today announces the launch of the first-ever edition of “Nutrition and Heart Health.” This campaign will serve as a resource for Americans who are seeking treatment options for chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease. It will also educate healthcare professionals and patients on current trends in cardiovascular treatment and technology.

The print component of “Nutrition and Heart Health” is distributed within today’s edition of USA Today in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Altanta, Nashville, Houston, Dallas, D.C., and Chicago markets, with a circulation of approximately 200,000 copies and an estimated readership of 600,000. The digital component is distributed nationally, through a vast social media strategy, and across a network of top news sites and partner outlets. To explore the digital version of the campaign, visit:

Physician and New York Times best-selling author Dr. Mark Hyman graces the cover of the print publication. Through an exclusive interview on the interior, Dr. Hyman talks about the benefits of eating a plant-rich diet, and what the modern healthy diet should consist of, despite outdated government recommendations. “Instead of demonizing one macronutrient like fat or carbs, I recommend that we just stick to real, whole foods, not food-like substances,” says Hyman.

Other editorials in the campaign include plant-based healthcare, a new trend across healthcare professionals and patients that’s using the power of plants to aid in disease treatment, careers in nutrition, advancements in cardiovascular disease treatment and technology, congenital heart defects and pediatric cardiology, and the future of personalized healthcare.

This campaign was made possible with the support of Greenleaf Foods, WeTheTrillions, University of Southern California Leonard Davis School of Gerontology, American Heart Association, Blossom Bariatrics, DNALife, GrassrootsHealth Nutrient Research Institute, Johns Hopkins Children’s Hospital, The Sugar Association, Children’s Heart Foundation, and the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology.

Life-changing obstacles left Loz Antonenko a lesson: that they profoundly shape and improve one’s identity. Wanting to share this lesson, and all other wisdom she has learned throughout her journey, she pens “The Healthy Habit Handbook” (published by Balboa Press AU).

The part autobiography, part self-help book contains a blueprint to improve health, happiness and vitality. Fitness Studio Agency Helps Gyms Move Virtual, Maintain Revenue During COVID-19 Closures

News Image

Loud Rumor, the nation’s leading consulting agency for fitness studios, developed and launched a free course to help its 1,300 plus fitness studio clients pivot and move fitness offerings online to maintain revenue, amidst COVID-19 closures.

During this international crisis, small businesses like fitness studios are forced to temporarily close for an undermined length of time, which means no revenue, potentially leading to layoffs and permanent closures. Loud Rumor CEO Mike Arce said that less than two weeks ago, he started receiving messages and calls from fitness studio owners who were at a loss for what to do, and fearing they would lose their businesses.

“I pivoted fast,” said Arce. “Our clients needed our support, so within 24 hours we developed and launched an online course that walked our clients step-by-step through how to deal with the crisis and how to continue adding value to their customers to ensure the monthly recurring revenue still came in.”

The course includes a step-by-step guide to allow a gym owner to convert their physical fitness studio to an online fitness studio so members can live stream classes. Arce said the course teaches which tools to purchase or subscribe to, how to set them up and integrate them, email scripts, marketing templates and more. Loud Rumor also created more than 50 different digital ad campaigns selling these new virtual fitness classes. Clients running the campaigns across the nation are seeing unprecedented low costs per lead, roughly $2 – $5 compared to the normal $15-$25 average cost per lead.

Brittany Welk and Marciea Allen, co-founders of Lady Strong Fitness in Chicago, were one of the first calls Arce got just over a week ago. “We were devastated,” said Welk. “We were having to shut down our studio, which meant not providing quality workouts to our members. Yet, we still had rent, bills and employees to pay. We thought we were going to lose our business.”

Arce helped Welk and Allen convert their studio into an online fitness studio in just a matter of days. So far, they have maintained all 236 of their members through daily streaming workouts.

“We know we have months of this ahead of us, and are so appreciative of our members who are still supporting us while we pivot the classes they love to the digital platform,” said Allen. “We’re confident that we’ll be able to keep business going until we can fully open back up to in-studio classes thanks to our amazing community supporting us during this trying time.”

Arce also launched a sister podcast to his internationally-known fitness business podcast, The GSD Show, called “GSD COVID Updates” where he has produced 50 episodes in just one week in order to bring fitness studios all the information they need. On the show, Arce interviews financial experts to talk about SBA loan options and tax adjustments and he talks to legal experts about landlord negotiations, among many others. He plans to continue to add content to cover every topic a fitness studio owner could need to access during this critical time.
