HYLETE Announces Regulation A Offering

HYLETE

HYLETE, Inc., a fitness lifestyle brand built, backed, and driven by the HYLETE Nation community, has announced a $12 million equity raise under a Regulation A Tier 2 offering. HYLETE was founded in 2012 as a direct-to-consumer brand and has experienced significant growth, with 2019 net revenues of over $12.5 million.

Regulation A (Tier 2) is a securities offering that allows private companies to raise investment amounts of up to $50 million from the public. Reg A enables companies to offer shares to the general public and not just accredited investors.

HYLETE is offering up to 12 million shares of the company’s common stock that will be available to investors at $1.00 per share, with a minimum purchase of 500 shares per investor. The SEC has qualified this offering.

This equity offering will be HYLETE’s ninth crowdfunding round. Since 2015, HYLETE has gained more than 4,900 investors, of which, 85% are loyal customers who have infused $9.9 million into the company. This inspired the HYLETE-coined term, “investomer.”

“We originally designed and launched a patented cross-training short. Today, we now have an extensive line of men’s and women’s apparel, footwear, and gear,” said Ron L. Wilson II, CEO, and Co-founder. “We believe that our brand’s impact should live beyond the products that we sell, and as such, our energy is equally focused on inspiring the well-being of our community – a community that we call the HYLETE Nation.”

With a fully completed offering, HYLETE intends to apply for a direct listing on the Nasdaq Stock Exchange. Although the company intends to apply for quotation of its common stock on Nasdaq, there are a number of requirements that the company may or may not be able to satisfy in a timely manner. Even if the company obtains that quotation, it is unknown the extent to which investor interest will lead to the development and maintenance of a liquid trading market. Investors should assume that they may not be able to liquidate investments for some time or be able to pledge these shares as collateral.

About HYLETE

HYLETE has created a fitness lifestyle ecosystem that has been built, backed, and driven by its community. HYLETE aspires to not only build premium athletic wear, but also to engage and inspire its community with fitness apps, content, challenges and education.

Copeify Donates $5 Million of Wellness Subscriptions to High Schools and Colleges, Offering Remote Health and Support Solution to Millions of Young Adults

Copeify Conditions Students for Health and Life

“What started for us as a mission to improve student health and resilience on one campus, has grown as a national mandate to deliver our remote wellness platform to the 43 million young adults and students in America.” Drew Bartkiewicz, CEO Copeify

Patriapps, the veteran-led software developer today announces $5M worth of software donations of Copeify, the only self-care and life-skills application for high schools, colleges and universities. The machine learning application is geared for all young adults, and is designed to build personal health and resilience without the need for any personal information.

As a result of the announcement, Patriapps will make Copeify available to all high schools, colleges and universities for free until the next academic year, or beyond, as the need for remote wellness technology has reached a new high point with the Coronavirus pandemic.

Copeify has been developed for young adults and teachers to anonymously grow their knowledge and practice of nutrition, motivation, health and mindfulness. The AI-enhanced content and questions (modeled after the Army’s readiness, health and resilience programs) help young adults, students and faculty to help grow their life-skills and coping capabilities. The application creates better outcomes for young adults, like supporting paths to happiness and health, and reducing the frequency of depression, addiction and anxiety.

“As evidenced by the coronavirus, we are all reminded that complete wellness is not just the domain of one campus. Complete wellness for young adults is a continual, 24/7 condition and practice that can be learned by anyone, anywhere,” said Drew Bartkiewicz, CEO of Copeify and Army combat veteran who graduated from West Point. “What started for us as a mission to improve student health, readiness and resilience on one campus, has grown as a national mandate to deliver our remote wellness platform to the 43 million young adults and students in America.”

Copeify leverages the sciences of self-care and young adult development to gradually improve personal levels of happiness, health, kindness and resilience.

The global coronavirus has dramatically heightened the need for remote wellness platforms to be an essential part of all high school and college experiences. Copeify is the first to step into this void with a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model.

Without the need for any personally identifiable information, Copeify builds personal readiness and resilience with:

  • Smart notifications on the new aspects of coping and character, health and happiness.
  • Personalized articles and videos about healthy lifestyles, social skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Interactive CopeScores that gamify and offer tools to grow into a healthier and happier life.
  • Option for schools and colleges to use the platform for fundraising of wellness programs.

“Young people and those who teach them need to increase their coping capacities in a more regular and remote way, with complete privacy,” said Major General Malcolm Frost, U.S. Army Retired. “Copeify is an intelligent and anonymous platform for both young adults and faculty to discover complete wellness in the same medium, so they can thrive in an academic and social environments and better combat both the uncertainties of COVID-19 and life itself.

Copeify is now available as a software donation to high schools, colleges and universities, and the organizations that support them. Issuance of the software as a service will be done on a first come, first serve basis.

Copeify is an American-made subsidiary brand of Patriapps, which commits the $5M software pledge on behalf of all veterans and health care workers exemplifying readiness and resilience. The CEO of Copeify, Drew Bartkiewicz, was the creator of award winning apps like lettrs and the personalized health intelligence system, Reservoire Health. He is the Chairman and founder of Patriapps Impact Apps.

Arebo Makes a Surprising Comeback on Kickstarter and Is Now One of the Most Popular Campaigns on the Platform

News Image

“After researching what the wash routine habits are from people all around the world, we discovered that many people reuse towels in an unsanitary way. Therefore, I wanted to create a product that would help eliminate this issue and provide value for its users.

Miracle Healthcare has announced that their Kickstarter campaign for Arebo, the one-touch activation body dryer has hit and surpassed its $10,000 funding goal. The campaign initially had a slow start, but is now average $4,000 per day in funding. The Arebo team has announced that they are now looking to ride the momentum to hit $100,000 in funding by the time the campaign comes to a close.

Eui Han Pak, Founder & CEO of Miracle Healthcare stated, “After researching what the wash routine habits are from people all around the world, we discovered that many people reuse towels in an unsanitary way. Therefore, I wanted to create a product that would help eliminate this issue and provide value for its users. With Arebo, people can dry themselves quickly without reusing the same towel over and over. The form factor also allows its users to start on the next step of their morning wash routine.”

The Arebo can hold up to 330 lbs or 150 kg and has been designed to be used anywhere (bathroom, spa, pool, gym, etc). This dryer is also extremely useful for people who have recently undergone surgical procedures, pregnant women, and the elderly since these individuals are limited in their range of movement.

Kickstarter prices for the Arebo start at $220 and the company anticipates shipping to begin starting August 2020. Early bird prices are capped at 100 individuals. Once the cap is hit, prices will begin at $240 (30% off before it goes to retail). Any editors, journalists, or social media influencers interested in receiving a sample to review are encouraged to contact the creators through their Kickstarter page.

Punchpass Rolls Out Innovative Solution for Hosting and Monetizing Online Fitness Classes

News Image

“The studios that embrace this are going to thrive.” – Punchpass CEO Chris Patton.

Punchpass, a global provider of fitness studio software, this month launched a new software integration that allows fitness businesses to instantly connect existing class schedules, class passes and memberships to live video, so that studios can monetize their online classes.

The platform automatically emails registered students before class with the link to the class broadcast, and allows studios to collect payments. The new technology is enabling thousands of small fitness business owners worldwide to stay financially viable despite mandatory closures, and the threat of lost class and membership-based revenue. And home-bound customers have a way to stay fit, healthy and connected to their community at a time when fear and isolation are at an all-time high.

“The studios that embrace this are going to thrive,” said Punchpass CEO Chris Patton. “This has been a crazy time for most of us, and a scary one, as the floor supporting our businesses has disappeared. The Punchpass integration with Zoom has been a lifeline for these small fitness studios and their communities.”

As the coronavirus pandemic threatens the global $94 billion fitness industry, businesses that rapidly deploy live, online classes could not only avoid permanent closure, but create a whole new digital market.

“My first thought was to stay in front of the customers, just to stay in people’s minds,” said Bill O’Connor, owner of Hot Yoga Burlington

Forced to close March 16, within hours, O’Connor was offering his first online classes through Punchpass. The classes quickly grew, outpacing the typical in-person attendance numbers, and drawing local and out-of-state participants. “After just the first class, there was this tremendous response. The feedback has been extremely positive. The emails and texts and social media that’s been coming in has been so positive.”

Other Punchpass customers are also finding that the online class offerings have been a boom for business. Customers are enrolling at unexpectedly high rates, and are willing to pay for the live connection, despite the abundance of free, recorded classes online.

“People who value it don’t seem to mind paying for it,” said Dana Darr, owner of Asana Yoga Center in Valparaiso, IN.

Asana Yoga once hosted classes of thirty to forty students. But after six new yoga studios entered her market, her classes had dropped to six students, on average. Now, her online classes are drawing twenty or more.

“This place is picking up! Who knew creating a pandemic virtual yoga classroom would be so much fun and so widely attended,” said Darr. “It’s so unexpected which makes it fun and exciting in what otherwise would be just a really rough time.”

As the COVID 19 outbreak continues to spread, an increasing number of fitness businesses and customers will likely turn to online classes. It’s a trend that could reshape the entire club and studio industry long-term. For now, the technology is a light for the many small businesses – and their customers – who are struggling to survive.

“We are thrilled that so many of our clients have shown resilience and optimism by offering online classes as a way to keep their communities active and vibrant,” said Patton.

In the words of Erin Henderson, owner of Hot26 School of Yoga, just outside Seattle, WA:

“This isn’t about me. This is about my community and keeping them connected and realizing how important it is for these people.”

About Punchpass

Punchpass was founded in 2013 by Chris Patton and provides simple software for fitness and yoga studio management. Currently, 1,100 small businesses around the world use Punchpass to run their group classes in person and online.

The small and mighty team at Punchpass delivers best-in-class service to the small, local businesses who use our software, as we cannot achieve success without theirs.

How to Navigate Life Independently

When imagining our later years, many envision family by our side. But, with more Americans choosing an independent lifestyle and a growing number of adults living without a spouse or partner, the trend of aging solo is on the rise. In fact, more than 20% of adults 65 and older are aging independently or anticipate doing so in the future, according to AARP.

Commonly referred to as “solo agers,” many adults are navigating their later years alone – whether they are single by choice, widowed, divorced or separated. Some health care experts have broadened the definition to include those with long-distance or unavailable caregivers.

While many solo agers embrace their independent lifestyle and enjoy the freedom that comes with living alone, others may find this reality daunting.

“Growing older can feel overwhelming at the best of times, even with great resources and a strong network of family and friends to help guide the way,” said Lakelyn Hogan, gerontologist and caregiver advocate at Home Instead Senior Care. “With so many decisions to be made, it can often feel easier to just delay planning in order to avoid making difficult life choices. But planning ahead can make all the difference.”

Whether you identify as a solo ager, or know someone who could benefit from creating a plan for the later years, Hogan recommends considering the following tips to help older adults safeguard their future:

  • Plan for future care. There may come a time when you can no longer care for yourself independently. Research all potential options, including professional caregivers and assisted living facilities in your community, before deciding what is right for you.
  • Build a community. Meaningful relationships can make a world of difference in how happy and connected a person feels. To avoid isolation, try to identify individuals who might be willing to help you along your journey. Remember that many senior centers offer services, along with meal programs that provide one to socialize with others.
  • Discuss your future home. Whether you or your loved one is planning to age in their current home, downsize, move to a senior living community or choose to live with relatives, it’s important to weigh every option before determining what “home” might look like for you. To help seniors make an informed decision on the best place to age, Home Instead offers free resources and information with Home Your Own Way.
  • Manage your estate. Insurance agents and financial planners can help determine the best options for professional care and put your mind at ease. If you don’t have a family member, spouse or designated surrogate to make legal and medical decisions on your behalf, appoint a trusted advisor.
  • Start conversations early. By having discussions about desires and preferences early on, both you and your loved ones can feel more at peace and better prepared for the future. If you no longer have immediate family or friends to have these conversations with, consider speaking with a professional caregiver about how you would like your future to look. Starting today can make for a smoother road ahead.

While establishing future decisions may not seem like a priority right now, a specific plan can help families and their loved ones feel more prepared for the later years of life. For more information on how to confidently plan for the future, visit https://www.caregiverstress.com/.

Gennev Widens Telemedicine Range to Cover Primary Care for All Women

“Clinics are postponing non-critical appointments, but that doesn’t mean women’s health challenges just stop or shouldn’t be treated,” said Jill Angelo, co-founder and CEO of Gennev.

With many women living under orders to shelter at home, which makes getting the healthcare they need challenging, Gennev (http://www.gennev.com) today announced the expansion of its virtual telemedicine clinic to include Primary Care Practitioners (PCPs). In addition, Gennev has expanded its OB/GYN telemedicine services to women of all ages. Click here for a complete overview of Gennev’s telemedicine services.

“Clinics are postponing non-critical appointments, but that doesn’t mean women’s health challenges just stop or shouldn’t be treated,” said Jill Angelo, co-founder and CEO of Gennev. “Coughs, fevers, shortness of breath, and having enough prescription medication on hand are on the minds of many women. Having ready access to a PCP or OB/GYN for medical guidance from the safety of your home without requiring travel to a healthcare facility is what our team can offer.”

Right now and for at least the immediate future, going to a doctor’s office might not be the healthiest thing to do. By moving common women’s health appointments into the cloud via a virtual telemedicine clinic, Gennev aims to help women find answers to common questions about hot flashes, bone health, sexual function and more from the comfort of home. And because doctors and patients are not required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in an online environment, clinics can reserve PPEs for more critical patients and for the front lines of treating COVID-19 patients.

“We’re all a little more on edge right now and monitoring our health more closely. This weekend I became concerned about my body temperature and wasn’t sure if I was having a hot flash or if it was a fever,” said a Gennev telemedicine patient based in Montgomery TX. “It was so comforting to be able to quickly book a telemedicine appointment with a Gennev doctor, which helped alleviate my concern.”

In addition to telemedicine by appointment, Gennev recently expanded its HealthFix concierge membership to offer women unlimited access to doctors and health coaches for medical care, prescription support and behavioral guidance for nutrition, exercise, sleep, stress management.

Angelo continued, “Gennev started as — and will always be — an online clinic for women in menopause. But right now, we’re doing everything we can to get all women the medical advice, prescriptions, and behavioral health guidance they need right now during this COVID-19 crisis.”

Founded by former Microsoft executive Jill Angelo and former Neutrogena executive Jacqui Brandwynne, Gennev provides telemedicine with menopause-certified OB/GYNs, on-demand telehealth coaching with registered dietitians, plus health and wellness products, community, and free education. Thousands of women globally have completed the Gennev Menopause Assessment to understand where they are in the journey and receive recommended health and wellness solutions.
