The TNS Group Logo

As an organization we continue to evolve in an ever-changing climate to meet the needs of our clients, while maintaining a keen focus on security

The TNS Group has again been named as one of the world’s premier managed service providers on the prestigious 2021 Channel Futures MSP 501 rankings. TNS continues to place in the top 250 of Managed Service Providers (MSPs) globally.

The TNS Group has been selected as one of the technology industry’s top-performing providers of managed services by the editors of Channel Futures. For the past 15 years, MSPs from around the globe have submitted applications to be included on this prestigious and definitive listing. The Channel Futures MSP 501 survey examines organizational performance based on annual sales, recurring revenue, profit margins, revenue mix, growth opportunities, innovation, technology solutions supported, and company and customer demographics.

Managed services providers that qualify for the list must pass a rigorous review conducted by the research team and editors of Channel Futures that rank applicants using a unique methodology that weighs financial performance according to long-term health and viability, commitment to recurring revenue and operational efficiency.

Channel Futures is pleased to name The TNS Group to the 2021 MSP 501.

“As an organization we continue to evolve in an ever-changing climate to meet the needs of our clients, while maintaining a keen focus on security,” said Ami Soifer, CEO, The TNS Group. “Our team is committed to providing high service levels and we are all incredibly proud to be recognized for our work as an exemplary Managed Service Provider, especially in light of such a challenging year.”

This year’s list attracted a record number of applicants and was one of the most competitive in the survey’s history. Winners are being recognized on the Channel Futures website and will be honored at a special ceremony at the MSP Summit held Nov. 1-2 in Las Vegas as part of the Channel Partners Conf. & Expo.

Since its inception, the MSP 501 has evolved from a competitive ranking into a vibrant group of innovators focused on high levels of customer satisfaction at small, medium, and large organizations in public and private sectors. Today, many of their services and technology offerings focus on growing customer needs in the areas of cloud, security, collaboration, and support of hybrid work forces.

“The 2021 Channel Futures MSP 501 winners are the highest-performing and most innovative IT providers in the industry today. They stand head and shoulders above the competition,” said Robert DeMarzo, vice president of content for the Channel Futures and Channel Partners Conference & Expo division of Informa Tech Channels. “Coordinated by Channel Futures MSP 501 editor Allison Francis, this year’s list was clearly one of the best ever on record.”

“Vendors that are aligned with the Channel Futures MSP 501 are driving a new wave of innovation in the industry. Through their partnerships they are demonstrating a commitment to moving the MSP and entire channel forward,” said Kelly Danziger, general manager of Informa Tech Channels. “We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the 2021 winners and gratitude to the thousands of MSPs that have contributed to the continuing growth and success of the managed services sector.”

The MSP 501 winners will be recognized at the MSP 501 Awards Gala at the Channel Partners Conference & Expo / MSP Summit, Nov. 1-4, in Las Vegas.

Haivision and SRT Alliance Host SRT Plugfest and Demonstrate Global Reach and Cross-Industry Collaboration of the Protocol with Over 1,400 Successful Tests Conducted

“SRT has proven the most effective way to contribute low latency video to our cloud-based live production studio platform,” said Philippe Laurent, CEO, EasyLive. “We found Haivision Hub an excellent way to simply route in live SRT feeds globally.”

Haivision (TSX: HAI), a leading provider of mission-critical, real-time video streaming and networking solutions, and the SRT Alliance, a collaborative community of over 500 product, service, and solution providers supporting the SRT Open Source project, today announced the highlights of the SRT InterOp Summer 2021 Plugfest, including a new record in the number of successfully completed device-to-device tests.

Hosted by Haivision, the SRT Alliance, and with special webinar guest AWS Elemental, the SRT InterOp Plugfest attracted a wide range of leading broadcast and streaming vendors. Over the course of five days, developers from around the world joined forces to put the protocol through its paces, testing interoperability between products, services, and solutions that support the SRT Open Source protocol. Participating companies included Sony, Panasonic, Avid, Telestream, and more than 40 other vendors.

SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), originally developed and open sourced by Haivision, is a video streaming protocol that enables remote and cloud-based high-performance video workflows. SRT is helping solution providers solve today’s challenges including newsgathering, remote production, and enabling broadcasters’ at-home workforces.

Highlights of the SRT InterOp Plugfest include:

  • Increased engagement: The number of individual device-to-device tests more than doubled from the previous InterOp Plugfest held last year, to over 1400.
  • First-time access to Haivision Hub: For the first time, participants were able to access Haivision’s intuitive and easy-to-use video network service, Haivision Hub, and logged more than 900 hours of testing during the event.
  • New feature testing: SRT enthusiasts were also able to fully test new features recently added to the SRT protocol. These include socket groups supporting multiple redundant network paths for increased reliability in the event of network congestion or outages, and Stream ID for sending multiple SRT streams, each with a unique ID, to a single cloud ingress point or UDP port.

SRT Plugfest endorsements include:

“By participating in the SRT Plugfest, Sony reassured our cameras’ compatibility with the protocol. We hope this addition of the SRT protocol will broaden our customer’s creativity and production,” said Akira Saitou, Deputy Senior General Manager, Sony Corporation Imaging Products & Solutions Business Group.

“Panasonic has an array of products that support SRT for live streaming, from PTZ cameras, to camcorders, to the KAIROS IT/IP Video Processing Platform. We’re dedicated to ensuring their interoperability across a wide array of products and systems,” said Harry Patel, Engineering Manager, Broadcast, Cinema & Professional Video Systems, Panasonic. “Participating in the SRT InterOp Plugfest provided an excellent opportunity to collaborate with other industry-leading companies.”

“SRT has proven to deliver low latency over every network,” said Harm van Houten, Owner and Lead Technician, Yourside. “During the Plugfest we even sent streams from Haivision Makito encoders over the new SpaceX-engineered StarLink satellite network proving that ad-hoc, low-latency video over satellite is possible.”

“During the SRT Interop Plugfest, we focused on testing our IP video infrastructure on Google Cloud and qualified universal SRT compatibility with a variety of vendors,” said Mark Gilbert, CTO, Gallery SIENNA.

“SRT has proven the most effective way to contribute low latency video to our cloud-based live production studio platform,” said Philippe Laurent, CEO, EasyLive. “We found Haivision Hub an excellent way to simply route in live SRT feeds globally.”

“The Plugfest proves once more that SRT is truly a powerful interoperability enabler,” explains Jan Weigner, CTO, Cinegy GmbH. “Collectively, SRT Alliance members have seized upon the vision of SRT Alliance founders, Haivision, and it’s actually far easier today to name the handful of companies who aren’t members of the SRT Alliance, which is great for everyone involved and the industry at large. SRT has become ubiquitous, and we are not just using it for secure video transmission via the Internet and long distances, but also for all video transmissions on high-bandwidth LAN connections. The benefits outweigh the overhead many times.”

“This kind of testing, especially in current conditions, is only possible with cross-industry collaboration,” said Marc Cymontkowski, Vice President Product Development, Cloud, Haivision. “We are extremely grateful to the community of developers, engineers, and vendors who support the SRT open source initiative and who are dedicated to overcoming the challenges of low-latency video streaming.”

SRT optimizes streaming performance across unpredictable networks with low latency, secure streams. SRT, royalty free and available on GitHub, is the fastest-growing open source video streaming movement. In addition to its 500-strong member community in the SRT Alliance, SRT has been adopted by VideoLAN VLC, OBS, Wireshark, FFmpeg and GStreamer open source projects. A list of SRT Alliance members can be found at srtalliance.org/members.

New Visioneer VAST Network capability enables USB scanners to be network-connected

By ‘up-converting’ existing scanner technology, all supported Xerox® and Visioneer® scanners can be used as network devices, capable of supporting multiple users in office and remote locations.

On the heels of launching its Visioneer VAST Network© technology, Visioneer, Inc., a leader in capture workflow & digital transformation software, is proud to announce Visioneer Network Scan Service, allowing customers to share PC-connected scanners to the network. Existing or new scanners can be made visible and accessible to network users, without compromising document security.

Today’s work-from-anywhere workforce demands current technology, yet hardware investments are limited. Visioneer Network Scan Service allows a USB-connected scanner to be shared with any user across a LAN or wireless network. Once the scanner is visible on the network, other users can connect and capture documents with Visioneer OneTouch and Capture SE software – or TWAIN Direct© applications – from their PC. By “up-converting” existing scanner technology, all supported Xerox® and Visioneer® scanners can be used as network devices, capable of supporting multiple users in office and remote locations.

“We’re excited to offer our current customers even more value from their technology investment, while also supporting IT’s need to keep hardware costs down,” says Walt Thinfen, CEO of Visioneer, Inc. “At the same time, we’re always looking for ways to ensure that new customers can get secure device accessibility and availability across their organization.”

Visioneer VAST Network© consists of several software components, and is an extended implementation of TWAIN Direct©, an open-source, zero footprint image acquisition protocol to drive secure network scanning devices via web-based or local network client applications, removing the requirement for a PC-based local driver. Further, with Visioneer VAST Network©, each USB-connected scanner on the network becomes a smart device users can share, use a mobile device to scan and acquire images from the scanner, scan remotely, plus remote and central management of scanner fleets.

Visioneer Network Scan Service is available now on select Xerox© and Visioneer© scanners. Learn more about Visioneer VAST Network© at http://www.visioneer.com/VAST.

Yamgo Launches Rewards Platform that Allows Users to Earn Crypto Assets

Yamgo – Get Paid For Life

Yamgo offers the first step for many in emerging markets to earn cryptocurrency from their digital actions and bank that in an account they own and control.

Yamgo, the innovative company behind the highly successful blockchain advertising platform AdsDax, has today announced the beta-launch of a game-changing new rewards platform.

The Yamgo Rewards Platform allows users to earn crypto assets in exchange for their digital actions on the platform. Built on the Hedera Hashgraph network, Yamgo enables users to earn hbars, the native cryptocurrency of the Hedera network, for actions such as creating an account, referring friends, watching videos, completing offers, playing mobile games and more. The new platform will allow users to be appropriately rewarded for their time, data and attention in their online actions.

Speaking about the launch, Yamgo CEO Ian Mullins stated: “Yamgo offers the first step for many in emerging markets to earn cryptocurrency from their digital actions and bank that in an account they own and control. Our infrastructure and use of decentralised finance is unique in the industry and when combined with the speed, throughput, and low cost of transactions on the Hedera network we have a winning model to help consumers earn value and access financial services anywhere and at extremely low costs. It’s fast, simple and easy to open your account and start earning hbars. Go to http://www.yamgo.com and sign up now, we will give you a reward just for opening your account.”

With the current success of the AdsDax Advertising Platform, Yamgo has been leading the way in building commercially viable products that leverage distributed ledger technology. The Yamgo Rewards Platform is the next evolutionary step in the vision laid out by Yamgo to create an ecosystem for businesses that not only protects the privacy and data of consumers, but also gives them the opportunity to be rewarded for their digital actions and engagements.

Ryan Davies, CPO at Yamgo, noted, “This is the realisation of our long-term vision to use distributed ledger technology to redistribute the money spent in advertising and marketing away from unnecessary middlemen or ad fraud and give it to the people who deserve it – the everyday users. Through AdsDax we set out to not only prove that it was viable to run an ad network with events tracked on a distributed ledger but also that we could leverage this technology to reduce fraud and remove middlemen. We’ve achieved that goal and now it’s time for the next step – rewarding consumers.”

Christian Hasker, CMO at Hedera, commented, “The Yamgo team continues to be at the cutting edge of consumer-facing applications that leverage distributed ledger technology. Already conducting millions of transactions weekly on the Hedera network with their AdsDax digital advertising platform, we’re excited to see how they further engage consumers and brands with the new Yamgo Rewards Platform.”

Discussing the platform Davies continued, “The beta release of our platform is just step one of our grand plans for Yamgo, with lots more exciting features launching in the upcoming weeks. Users can register and earn rewards instantly – just for signing up. We are going to be consistently releasing new features and new ways to earn crypto assets. It’s an exciting time.”

WinMagic MFA, Encryption Solution for Linux Endpoint Devices Proves It Can Enable U.S. Federal Agencies to Meet Biden’s Cybersecurity Deadline

Until we explored WinMagic’s SecureDoc Enterprise Server and SecureDoc Endpoint Encryption solutions, we found no alternatives anywhere in the marketplace that could meet our need. We found it reassuring that WinMagic was already helping many other federal and state agencies in the U.S.

Cybersecurity solutions provider WinMagic announced it has successfully provided a solution to one of the Federal Civilian Executive Branch (FCEB) agencies solving their challenge of using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and encryption together for their Linux environment. With this, WinMagic has been able to demonstrate that federal agencies can readily comply with President Biden’s Cybersecurity Executive Order (EO) requiring MFA and encryption of all endpoint devices.

The EO gave U.S. federal agencies just 180 days to find and implement MFA and encryption solutions to shore up cybersecurity vulnerabilities of the sort that resulted in recent breaches of extremely sensitive data, and that—in one incident—allowed hackers to create gasoline shortages in the Southeast by shutting down a vital pipeline.

“Our product allows the agencies to comply to the norms and secure their infrastructure leveraging the current tools they have. It saves time, money and improves the time to market significantly”, said Rob deCarle, VP of Product Management at WinMagic. It was fortuitous that the agency insisted on using PIV cards for pre-boot authentication. “Our solution is premised in part on the idea that employing MFA to protect both pre-boot authentication and the entire system is best accomplished using a PIV smart card,” deCarle added. “We offered exactly what the agency needed.”

Said the user, “Until we explored WinMagic’s SecureDoc Enterprise Server and SecureDoc Endpoint Encryption solutions, we found no alternatives anywhere in the marketplace that could meet our need. We found it reassuring that WinMagic was already helping many other federal and state agencies in the U.S. Without the WinMagic solution, our alternative was to not use Linux devices at all, since there is no solution out there that could help us use PIV cards at encryption pre-boot.”

WinMagic contends this is a need heightened by the presidential executive order and by Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Model (CMMC) regulations.

About WinMagic:

Security starts with the endpoint. WinMagic, with more than 20 years of continuous innovation, takes pride in using high standards, applied cryptography and its engineering capabilities to provide secure, feature-rich and comprehensive solutions in both encryption and authentication.

Its one console, one key management system for both encryption and authentication provides prevention with cryptography – from preboot authentication to cloud services, from endpoint to IoT to datacenters and cloud workloads. This substantially decreases IT costs while giving very positive user experience and simplifies cybersecurity to an extent the industry has not seen to date.

WinMagic sets the bar when it comes to full-disk-encryption for both Windows and Linux environments and leverages this to do the same for passwordless authentication! At WinMagic, we are committed to provide the most feature-rich solutions in encryption and in FIDO-based passwordless authentication to our customers.

Congress must tackle this issue head-on and the Improving Digital Identity Act is a critical leap forward.

Shamsh Hadi, CEO of ZorroSign, Inc. – a technology company based in Phoenix, AZ, today endorsed legislation introduced last week in the U.S. House of Representatives to establish a government-wide approach to improving digital identity. “This important legislative initiative will help facilitate the modernization of our country’s digital identity infrastructure which is lagging behind our global competitors,” said Hadi, who is also a founding member of the Association for Data and Cyber Governance (ADCG).

The bi-partisan bill, the Improving Digital Identity Act of 2021, was introduced on June 30, 2021 by U.S. Reps. Bill Foster (D-IL), John Katko (R-NY), Jim Langevin (D-RI), and Barry Loudermilk (R-GA). The bill would establish a task force to bring together key federal agencies with state and local government representatives to develop secure methods for government agencies to validate identity attributes to protect the privacy and security of individuals, and support reliable, interoperable digital identity verification tools in the public and private sectors. The bill, H.R. 4258, would also direct the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to create a new framework of standards to guide government agencies when providing digital identity verification services – placing an emphasis on privacy and security. Finally, the bill would establish a grant program within the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to allow states to upgrade the systems they use to issue drivers’ licenses and other types of identity credentials, and to support the development of secure, interoperable state systems that enable digital identity verification in accordance with the framework developed by NIST.

“Congressman Foster, Katko, Langevin and Loudermilk are to be applauded for their strong leadership in Congress on the vital issue of digital identity verification,” noted Hadi. “As the CEO of a company that lives and breathes privacy and security, I appreciate the vital nature of this legislative effort. Congress must tackle this issue head-on and the Improving Digital Identity Act is a critical leap forward.”

Hadi asserted that “enactment of this bill into law will ensure that the United States remains a world leader when it comes to online privacy and security. Indeed, the future of our economy depends on the U.S. government tackling this issue and doing everything possible to ensure that the United States is on the cutting edge when it comes to digital identity verification services.”
