Respond Fast launches next-generation voice technology using smart speakers for consumer engagement

https://www.prweb.com/

Respond Fast

“This is the shiny new toy in direct response marketing,” notes Respond Fast founder Mike Gunderson. “Move over, QR codes. Now, VACTA is the ticket to engage your customers and prospects, gather valuable marketing data and lift response.”

Respond Now, LLC announces the launch of Respond Fast, a Voice Activated Call-To-Action (VACTA) service that uses smart speakers to tap into offline marketing, information sites, surveys, reviews and other interactive platforms. It also helps track campaign attribution.

Respond Fast uses a unique phrase or code printed or announced on offline advertising media, such as a direct mail piece, print ad, collateral piece, TV/radio spot, billboard, signage and product label/packaging. Responders simply say, “[Alexa/Google], Launch Respond Fast,” then are prompted to provide their phrase or code tied to a campaign or prospect outreach. Relevant marketing messaging and calls to action follow.

Depending on the nature of the interaction, the smart speaker can fulfill the request, or gather information needed to follow up via phone, shipping, or digital communication (e.g., text, email, website).

Shiny New Toy With Staying Power

“This is the shiny new toy in direct response marketing,” notes Respond Fast founder Mike Gunderson. “Remember how cool it was to access information via a scanned QR code? How about the novelty of email offers when they first came on the scene? Now, VACTA is the ticket to engage your customers and prospects, gather valuable marketing data and lift response.”

He adds, “It’s frictionless. You see the code, speak it, and voila, you’re connected to a fulfillment protocol. This type of immediacy and ease is fueling the meteoric rise of smart-speaker use, and helping ensure this shiny new toy will maintain its luster for a long time to come. All across the country, smart speakers are fast becoming the preferred method of searching.”

Voice Poised To Revolutionize The Landscape

A late 2018 Contentmarketinginstitute.com article reinforces Gunderson’s view: “How Voice-Activated Tech Will Change Content Marketing…Move over mobile marketing: A little voice is whispering that your time as ‘the next big thing’ is almost up… Actually, that whisper is more of a shout, and it’s ‘Echo’-ing across the digital landscape, as voice-response technology is rapidly emerging as the most disruptive force to hit the industry since the internet became a visual medium.”

An early 2018 study by Capgemini Digital Transformation Institute estimated that already 24% of respondents preferred a voice assistant to visiting a website. Within a couple years, that figure is expected to rise to 40%. The study points out, “Voice assistants will revolutionize ecommerce.”

A March 2019 Techcrunch.com report speaks to the smart speaker boom. In the US, the number of owners grew 40 percent over 2018, “to now reach 66.4 million — or 26.2 percent of the U.S. adult population.” Another 2019 Techcrunch report, citing global growth, notes that smart speaker growth from 2018 to this year will be “82.4 percent, from 114 million units in 2018 to 207.9 million in 2019.”

Listen Up, Brand Marketers

Just as the internet revolutionized marketing perspectives and practices in the nineties, voice-activated assistance is stepping into those shoes today. Notes the Content Marketing Institute article: “…brands can – and should – start to integrate voice-response technology into their marketing plans…there are already over 1 billion voice searches conducted every month, and comScore estimates that, by 2020, 50% of all searches will be voice-based…43% of companies already invest in technology to enable voice marketing, according to a survey taken at the 2018 Digiday AI Marketing Summit.”

Gunderson Direct VP of Accounts, Jeff Tarran, points out, “By 2021, projections predict that smart speaker sales will outpace tablets. No marketing executive can afford to ignore this trend.”

Clear Attribution, Easy Integration Fuel Marketer Interest

Besides lifting response, Respond Fast provides clear attribution and easily integrates into new or existing campaigns. Plus, users can get 100% attribution to their voice campaign offer, creative, audience and marketing channel to accurately chart how each marketing campaign performs. Respond Fast offers easy options for total tracking.

Quickly Set Up Campaigns And Review Results

Setting up a Respond Fast VACTA program is fast and easy. Through one convenient dashboard, users can create the offer, decide how to deliver it, launch the campaign, analyze results and refine/improve subsequent efforts.

Individualized direct mail and the like can further enhance relevant targeting and response using a “unique offer code” for each printed piece. In essence, it’s the voice-activated version of a Personalized URL (PURL), where every recipient gets directed to their personal web landing page.

Visit RespondFast.com for more information, or just tell your smart speaker to “Launch Respond Fast” and use keyword “Trial.”

PlateSmart Technologies Achieves ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certification

This certification is just another way we continue to set an example for LPR industry.

Documented processes, ongoing evaluation and continuous improvement: these are the hallmarks of quality in product development. After months of work and a rigorous audit process, PlateSmart Technologies has been recognized for its commitment to quality with ISO 9001:2015 certification.

“ISO 9001 certification is the international gold standard for excellence in quality management,” said John Chigos, CEO, PlateSmart. “Our customers and technology partners already know the high-quality standards to which we hold our license plate recognition (LPR) solutions — the original software-only LPR solutions. This certification is just another way we continue to set an example for LPR industry.”

ISO 9001 is a set of quality-management standards developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). Compliance with ISO 9001 means a company has documented processes for product development, deployment and support that ensure customer expectations are met. It also ensures that the company routinely evaluates these processes and implements improvements as necessary.

PlateSmart worked with Perry Johnson Registrars, an accredited third-party certification body, which after conducting a two-stage initial quality management system process-based audit, granted the company ISO 9001:2015 certification.

“ISO 9001 is more than a certification — it is a mindset,” Chigos said. “PlateSmart is committed to quality and continuous improvement every day. The certification also helps bring standardization to the entire industry by keeping companies honest in their claims and avoiding misleading statements such as ‘99-plus percent accuracy.’”

sonnen and PanTech Design, Partner to Launch the Next Generation of Energy Automation

https://www.prweb.com/

Adapt Energy and sonnen ecoLinx working together for a better energy future.

Adapt Energy and ecoLinx, together, maximize solar, battery storage, and overall energy use in a home. They are the intelligence behind energy automation.

Sonnen, Inc. and PanTech Design are pleased to announce the next generation of energy automation with Adapt Energy and the sonnen ecoLinx intelligent energy management system. Originally launched at CEDIA Expo and Solar Power International in 2018, Adapt Energy was the first software platform to expand energy management into the home automation market by enabling ecoLinx integration with Crestron® and Control4® systems. This year, sonnen and PanTech Design return to both trade shows with significant additions in software and hardware functionality, which will provide homeowners with greater flexibility and control of their energy usage.

From the beginning, Adapt Energy and sonnen ecoLinx provided innovative features including severe weather tracking and response, configurable backup power reserve, and intelligent load management. At CEDIA and SPI 2019, PanTech Design is unveiling the Adapt Energy Panel, an industrial-grade hardware solution that provides direct circuit breaker control. This gives the Adapt Energy and ecoLinx duo greater load management capabilities to power down loads during peak demand times and ahead of a power outage which enables the ecoLinx backup reserve to charge faster.

Another addition to the ecosystem is native integration with Curb® energy monitoring. Curb® brings real-time data on energy use at an individual circuit level directly in the Adapt Energy app. Further historical detail can be accessed in the Curb app. Homeowners will be able to leverage this rich data to make informed decisions about energy consumption and effective use of stored backup power during power outages.

PanTech Design and sonnen will also be showcasing new scheduling functionality and native Nest® and Ecobee® setpoint control. These features enable homeowners to manage daily energy consumption by adjusting temperature to pre-cool the home and power down devices during peak demand times to reduce grid strain and enhance ecoLinx’s time-of-use functionality.

Blake Richetta, Chairman and CEO of sonnen, Inc. commented, “At sonnen, energy automation and ecoLinx are the future of smart homes and a smarter, safer and more dynamic energy infrastructure for homeowners, builders, developers, and the energy industry. With Adapt Energy we are able to control energy down to the individual breaker level, enabling greater energy control, better management of energy supply and demand and ultimately leading to a cleaner, healthier, and smarter energy future for us all.”

Troy Morgan, CEO of PanTech Design added, “Adapt Energy and ecoLinx, together, maximize solar, battery storage, and overall energy use in a home. They are the intelligence behind energy automation. And without the intelligence to know what to shut down and when, to move the needle in the right direction, you’re not going to see the full potential of what energy automation can do.”

Sonnen, along with PanTech Design, will be showcasing a live demonstration of Energy Automation at the CEDIA Expo in Denver, CO, September 12-14 (Booth #3547) and Solar Power International in Salt Lake City, UT, September 23-26 (Booth #2909).

LeaseCrunch® Gives Five Reasons Why Spreadsheets Aren’t the Best Way to Comply With New Lease Accounting Standards

News Image

“Having been to numerous accounting conferences and staying in regular contact with CPA firms, I am surprised that there is still some debate between spreadsheets and software in complying with the new lease accounting standards,” said Ane Ohm, a former Big 4 auditor and now CEO of LeaseCrunch.

LeaseCrunch, the only lease accounting software made by former CPA firm auditors for CPA firm auditors, believes that firms relying on spreadsheets to handle new lease accounting tasks are putting themselves at a serious disadvantage.

“It’s clear to me that spreadsheets are an awkward and risky approach to implementing the new lease accounting requirements.”

1. Spreadsheets can’t help with complex calculations: There are a number of highly complicated aspects of the new standard, especially with regard to the quantitative footnote disclosures that include a weighted average discount rate and weighted average remaining term.

2. Spreadsheets can’t help navigate nuances: Spreadsheets don’t have built-in guidance to add context or provide help along the way. For example, the LeaseCrunch software includes wizards that guide users through appropriate questions to ensure the new lease standard is applied correctly. There are also tooltips available that provide definitions for key terms exactly when a user might need them.

3. Spreadsheets are time-consuming: As mentioned above, with no embedded calculations or processes in a spreadsheet, it becomes far more time-consuming to manage all the components.

4. Spreadsheets make version and calculation control difficult: When multiple departments and people are responsible for lease data, it can be difficult to share spreadsheets and have confidence that everyone is using the latest version.

5. Spreadsheets offer little security: A spreadsheet has no built-in validation and minimal security options, like password protections and encrypted data. To quote an audit partner I recently spoke with: “We do not want to have to audit spreadsheets.”

About LeaseCrunch

Named by Accounting Today as one of the top new products of 2019, LeaseCrunch provides cloud-based lease accounting software for CPA firms, designed to help organizations implement the new lease accounting standards, ASC 842 and IFRS 16. Designed by CPAs, former Big 4 public accounting auditors, software development veterans and a former member of the FASB staff, the application offers an easy-to-use customer interface that delivers “audit in a box” lease accounting services, reducing the time it takes clients to prepare for an audit. LeaseCrunch allows companies to identify policy elections for the leasing standard through templates for both US GAAP and IFRS. For more information go to: http://www.LeaseCrunch.com.
