MultiLane Chooses Amphenol Ardent Concepts for 400G Module Compliance Boards

The combination of these two innovative products has given the manufacturing test market one of the most compelling MCBs on the market.

MultiLane’s module compliance boards are fully featured, CMIS compliant and low-loss, making them ideal for optical transceiver testing. These boards are now paired with Amphenol Ardent Concepts’ replaceable, multi-channel TR Multicoax Series connectors, resulting in an extremely low-cost, consumable MCB for high volume testing.

The key features of this combination include programming and testing of 400G QSFP-DD/OSFP transceivers and active optical cables. Additionally, it boasts a user-friendly GUI supporting all features defined by QSFP-DD/OSFP MSA. MultiLane’s board is ideal for transceiver manufacturing testing, optical transmitter testing, receiver sensitivity, electrical interface testing, and thermal testing of transceivers. MultiLane’s ML4062-TR (QSFP-DD MCB) and ML4064-TR (OSFP MCB) can also be used in conjunction with ML4066 analyzer boards to enable low speed I2C CMIS testing, in addition to abovementioned capabilities.

Two TR Multicoax Series connectors are needed for each compliance board. This connector delivers superior signal integrity from multiple high-speed analog or digital channels. With a choice of 20 GHz, 40 GHz, or 70 GHz configurations, users can upgrade their connectors as bandwidth requirements on their applications increase. TR utilizes Amphenol Ardent Concepts’ patented solderless technology, encouraging cost savings and reusability across multiple programs.

The combination of these two innovative products has given the manufacturing test market one of the most compelling MCBs on the market. Low-cost, reusability, high density, and excellent signal integrity are incredibly beneficial to test and measurement, and this board provides all of them.

MultiLane will be running a live demonstration of this module compliance board at the European Conference on Optical Communication in Dublin September 23-25 at Booth #481.

Amphenol Ardent Concepts is a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance multicoax and coaxial assemblies, connectors, and sockets used in the development of next generation semiconductors and electronics systems. Our core technology is one of the smallest, fastest, most electrically efficient compression mount connector technologies commercially available. As data rate requirements increase and devices and systems shrink, Amphenol Ardent’s products deliver superior signal integrity in a dense footprint that can be reusable across programs to maximize cost savings.

MultiLane, a leading provider of T&M equipment for production testing, develops instruments and interconnects for 10 to 400 Gb/s data rates. Products include BERTs, TDR, optical and electrical oscilloscopes, optical switch boxes, and a host of MSA-compliant development tools for QSFP28, QSFP-DD, OSFP, and other standards. The company also offers compliance test services and fully automated test solutions. In addition, MultiLane develops high speed ATE modules that fit in wafer-scale automated test systems such as Advantest’s V93K platform. MultiLane’s products are used to test semiconductors, DACs, transceivers, and system blades. More information can be found at http://www.multilaneinc.com.

HouseFax adds “Radon Risk” data to Comprehensive Property History Reports

HouseFax logo

HouseFax continues to break new ground, identifying critical information gaps and filling in the blanks for the benefit and protection of all real estate consumers.

HouseFax is helping the real estate community “know before you buy”, enhancing the company’s comprehensive property history reports with the addition of Radon risk data. This new information, which is not typically found on property listing websites, is helping to offer the most detailed look into the history and true condition of a home and ensure that real estate clients can make the most informed decisions about a home transaction.

“Very few home buyers are aware that significant radon exposure in residential real estate is the second leading cause of lung cancer,” says Dr. Chris Apfel, President and CEO of SageMedic Corporation, a noted cancer diagnostic expert and member of the National HouseCheck Board of Directors. “According to the Center of Disease Control (CDC), radon is estimated to account for 20,000 lung cancer deaths in the United States annually. Having this information in the HouseFax report is critically important for any home buyer to ensure they are sufficiently informed of potential health risks.”

Radon is an odorless, colorless and radioactive gas and a byproduct of natural soil decay that can be found in low and harmless doses almost everywhere. However, at critically high doses, radon is a dangerous carcinogen that causes lung cancer.

“HouseFax is a critical tool within the National HouseCheck family, providing the most detailed home data available for our clients,” says Dennis Conforto, HouseCheck Chairman and CEO. “HouseCheck is built on a commitment to protect the value, health and safety of the home and those within it. Helping to identify any potential risk within a home is our obligation and this addition is a small but significant extension of that commitment.”

HouseCheck COO, Bill Klehm, adds, “HouseFax continues to break new ground, identifying critical information gaps and filling in the blanks for the benefit and protection of all real estate consumers.”

Factors that can determine the levels of Radon found within a home can include the type of structure, condition of the foundation, climate, how often windows are open, and even the type of appliances. Higher radon levels are often easily remedied with a few simple steps. However, without the data, many are unaware of their risks and level of exposure.

ID Technology Introduces 255ST Label Printer Applicator

https://www.prweb.com/

255ST Label Printer Applicator

All 255 products are equipped with Allen-Bradley PLC controls and have extensive communications capabilities. They are compatible with the PackML machine control language, making them ideal for companies that have adopted this standard.

ID Technology, a ProMach product brand, introduces the latest addition to their 255 label printer applicator system at Pack Expo Las Vegas booth #C-3225. 255ST is an all-electric system (plant air is not needed) designed to label items such as shipping cases, trays and shrink-wrapped bundles.

“255ST adds to our already successful 255 family” said David Holliday, Director of Product Marketing at ID Technology. “All 255 products are equipped with Allen-Bradley PLC controls and have extensive communications capabilities. They are compatible with the PackML machine control language, making them ideal for companies that have adopted this standard. The new 255ST brings new capabilities to this product range, while keeping the flexibility and modularity, ID Technology is known for.”

The 255ST is ideal for labeling the top of products in distribution centers and warehouses, either when receiving items (a unique barcode license plate barcode is usually printed and applied to each package) or for printing and applying shipping labels as items are shipped from the distribution center.

The label application module used for the 255ST is an extended tamp applicator that is servo controlled. It is able to accurately label the tops of packages, even when the height may vary by 30 inches or more.

To be able to accurately label the products of varying heights that are moving on a conveyor, the 255ST needs to know the height of the next product. This data is supplied either from a third-party system, such as the warehouse management software, or from an optional optical light curtain array. This, along with the label data to be printed (usually provided by the warehouse management software or from the customer’s ERP system) ensures that the correct label is printed and applied every time.

The ability to operate with its own height measuring array is what distinguishes the 255ST from the existing ID Technology 350. While the 350 is sold only through material handling integrators because they completely control the system and provide the package height information, the 255ST is a good solution for both integrators and end customers. Particularly for end customers wanting to install themselves for applications that don’t require complex mechanical or data integration.

255ST can be installed as a single unit or as a pair. A pair of units is commonly used if alternating packaging on high volume lines or for redundancy to eliminate downtime.

See the 255ST and other new ID Technology labeling solutions at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2019.

New InstallAware X10 First to Build Single-Click Installs, Allow Precision Windows Feature Management, and Multi-Part Downloads.

InstallAware X10 Windows Features and Server Roles

InstallAware X10 Windows Features and Server Roles

InstallAware X10 solves the perennial problem of PC users – having to click through endless “Next” buttons to install software.

InstallAware Software, the technology leader in software installation, repackaging, and virtualization solutions for application producers and enterprises, is launching InstallAware X10 on Friday this week. InstallAware is the most flexible platform for traditional and agile development teams creating Windows and Azure software installers, as well as MSIX, APPX, Microsoft App-V Virtualization, and agentless/royalty-free InstallAware Virtualization packages.

InstallAware X10 solves the perennial problem of PC users – having to click through endless “Next” buttons to install software. The new built-in Single-Click Installation template installs and uninstalls applications literally in a single click. It also remains fully customizable – both in its user interface (the default implementation of which is modeled after Microsoft’s MSIX Installer), and its runtime setup logic (which remains a proprietary benefit of InstallAware).

The InstallAware Team painstakingly dumped Windows features across all released Windows versions, including both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms, and Server variants. They then built a user interface virtually identical to the “Turn Windows features on or off” applet, empowering developers to visually configure their target platforms in thorough detail. The InstallAware Team, during this R&D effort, discovered that literally each version and platform of Windows 10 has a unique set of features. Setup builders such as InstallShield were unable to complete accurate configurations across all Windows 10 releases, instead requiring developers to manually research the know-how in house; an entirely unaffordable proposition.

Also in InstallAware X10 is new extensibility for the internal download engine. Setup Plug-Ins may now register themselves as download handlers and offer custom functionality not available by default in InstallAware, such as peer to peer networking support for downloading application and runtime bits at install time; slashing network bandwidth costs while enabling unlimited software distribution online.

InstallAware X10 also is a major IDE upgrade, with IntelliScan highlighting for improperly authored setup script statements (similar to the squiggly red lines underlining misspelled words found in word processing software), as well as a new Code Preview feature which provides a bird’s eye view of setup script topology.

About InstallAware Software

InstallAware Software, founded in 2003, is the leading Cloud Infrastructure Company with its laser sharp focus on bullet-proof enterprise software deployment. InstallAware has been recognized by multiple awards coming from Microsoft, SDTimes “Leader of the Software Development Industry”, Visual Studio Magazine Reader’s Choice, ComponentSource, WindowsITPro, among other recognition. InstallAware X10 is available in a free edition for all Visual Studio users and paid editions with prices starting at $329. ORBI Inc. Launches Waterproof Second Generation 360° Recording Eyewear on Kickstarter

News Image

ORBI Marine allows everyone to record and share memories made on land or water, from adventurous sports to everyday family activities.

After revolutionizing 360° first-person video recording with the introduction of ORBI Prime three years ago, the ORBI team improved its product and launched ORBI Marine today on Kickstarter. Taking customer feedback, ORBI increased the functionality of the product and revamped the glasses, making them completely waterproof.

Understanding that water sport enthusiasts are often underserved by traditional adventure cameras because they lack the hands-free capabilities they require, ORBI Marine brings the same comfort and ease of use found in ORBI Prime, but waterproof, and can be controlled via smartwatch app. This functionality allows surfers, kiteboarders, skiers and snowboarders the ability to capture their adventures from a first-person perspective with ease.

“We know people want to share their most exciting activities and adventures with family and friends, and there’s no better perspective than eye-level,” said Iskander Rakhman, CEO of ORBI Inc. “ORBI Marine allows everyone to record and share memories made on land or water, from adventurous sports to everyday family activities.”

In addition to hands-free control and its waterproof design, ORBI Marine is lightweight and ergonomic, offering a full 360° range of recording in breathtaking 4K clarity. Proprietary three-level stabilization also ensures shake-free video, no matter the activity.

Another key improvement over previous generations is the smartwatch compatibility. This feature allows users to control recording on ORBI Marine with a quick touch in the smartwatch app. ORBI even functions without the touch on the smart watch. Launch “Surfing Mode” in the ORBI Apple Watch app and it will monitor for changes in speed, acceleration, elevation over sea level etc. When the data indicates a wave has been caught, the app directs the glasses to start recording. At the end of the ride, the glasses enter “sleep mode” until the next wave. That same data can also be used in editing videos together after the fact.

ORBI Marine’s new automated video editor powered by AI technology lets users focus on the adventure and not hours editing on a laptop. Turn ordinary trips into epic adventures and share them with ease. ORBI Marine’s built-in Wi-Fi also enables sharing video directly from the glasses to a nearby smartphone or laptop.

The camera lens on each ORBI Marine is 14,5mm in diameter with a 3,84mm image circle. A rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides up to 60 minutes of standard recording time. A battery-save mode allows wearers to select a duration of up to four hours. Firmware then toggles between sleep mode and recording sessions to capture content during long excursions or runs. ORBI Marine is available to pre-order starting at $249 by visiting pr.go2.fund/orbimarine.

About ORBI Inc.

Founded in March 2016 and based in Berkeley, CA, ORBI specializes in developing innovative hardware and software that unlocks extraordinary new ways to capture and share life’s most cherished moments. The world of video recording is changing and people demand more from their realities. Leveraging the power of 360˚ video, ORBI is embedding four 1080p HD cameras into eyewear – the world’s first, first-person 360˚ video recording glasses.
