Bridge Unveils New Brand and Corporate Immigration Platform

Deep Isolation Announces Memorandum of Agreement with NAC International Inc.

Deep Isolation has an opportunity not only to further develop the safety and quality of our canister technology, but to implement a waste management strategy that covers onsite interim storage as well as handling, transport, and final disposal.

Deep Isolation, a leading innovator in spent nuclear fuel (SNF) and high-level waste (HLW) storage and disposal solutions, has signed a cooperative agreement with NAC International Inc. (NAC), a leading nuclear fuel cycle consulting and technology solutions company specializing in casks and canister systems for nuclear materials transport and spent fuel storage and disposal.

Deep Isolation and NAC will cooperate in the design, development, and manufacturing of Deep Isolation’s SNF and HLW disposal canister technology. Leveraging NAC’s dry fuel storage technologies, the two companies will collaborate to advance the technical aspects of Deep Isolation’s current solution design for canister storage, disposal, and equipment for the transfer of SNF and HLW from existing storage areas to a Deep Isolation repository.

Connectivity Powers Telehealth Services; Disrupts Healthcare Norms

Over 60 schools in the northwest panhandle of Florida began the 2019-2020 school year with a new telehealth service in place. The program is designed to provide virtual mental health care to more than 35,000 students still affected by Hurricane Michael, a devastating Category 5 storm that struck the region in October of 2018 [1].

“This initiative by the state of Florida,” says Choice Business Connections CEO Darren Sadana, “is one more sign of the growing importance of wireless-assisted telehealth in overall healthcare.” Sadana, whose company specializes in wireless connectivity for IoT and solution providers, adds, “Rapid virtual patient access to healthcare providers is increasingly a part of everyday healthcare, as well as an invaluable tool in areas affected by war or natural disaster.”

In Houston, for example, Hurricane Harvey caused such extensive street flooding that many physicians were unable to reach the hospitals where they worked. A team of acute care telemedical specialists operating in the area, however, were able to step in and take over for these flooded-out hospitals’ regular staff doctors [2]. In Syria, where an estimated 400,000 people have been killed and an additional 1.9 million wounded since the beginning of the current civil war in 2011 [3], both the Syrian American Medical Society and Doctors without Borders are using telehealth technology to provide training and support for front-line medical personnel [4].

As it becomes an accepted part of today’s healthcare environment, professional organizations and licensing bodies have been seeking greater consistency in telehealth training and practice [5]. Earlier this year, the legislature of the State of Washington unanimously adopted bills focused on telehealth training procedures and practitioner credentials [6]. The states of Alaska, Arizona, Connecticut, Hawaii, and Texas are currently considering similar legislation, as well as setting ground rules for insurance coverage of telehealth-assisted procedures [7].

Meanwhile, notes Sadana, to support what they do, telehealth practitioners need seamless, high- speed wireless connectivity to ensure constant uptime, as well as the ability to handle a steady flow of complex information in real time. Integrated low-latency IoT and M2M cellular connective service can enable telehealth professionals to provide patient access, better emergency care, real-time patient monitoring, and secure data transmission. The profession, he points out, is well aware of these requirements; in a recent survey, 85 percent of respondents said that digital innovation is a component of their long-term strategies to improve patient care [8].

Featuring a trifecta of the best technologies, including a giant 4K screen, up to 144Hz overclocking and VESA-Certified DisplayHDR™ 1000 certification, it’s the ultimate monitor for hardcore PC and console gaming enthusiasts seeking bigger and brighter gameplay.

The ultra-high definition (3840 x 2160) 4K VA panel delivers sharp images, while a 1ms response time and up to a 144Hz refresh rate (120Hz native) via overclocking helps gamers respond quickly to gain an advantage over opponents. Leveraging AdaptiveSync and NVIDIA® G-Sync® compatible, it syncs to the frame rate of the system’s graphics card to eliminate stuttering, resulting in uninterrupted game play, so gamers can best focus on the task at hand. In addition, the CG437K also supports a variable refresh rate (VRR) via HDMI to provide smooth gaming on Xbox One consoles.

With a wide color gamut of 90 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, low Delta E less than 1 color accuracy and VESA-Certified DisplayHDR™ 1000 certification, colors are richer and blacks deeper, creating more vibrant images that pop with supreme contrast and color accuracy. The Predator CG437K P not only packs a giant display, but carries dual 10-watt speakers that deliver immersive and lifelike audio.

The Predator CG437K P was designed with sleek angular details and refined panels for a futuristic, yet understated look and feel. It comes with four magnetic LED light strips offering 9 different modes with special lighting effects that can be attached to the back and programmed to gameplay, music or video. The solid metal stand is sleekly sculpted, yet strong and rigid to support the large panel, while the detachable base has concave areas for conveniently storing game controllers.

A light sensor detects the room’s light level and automatically adjusts brightness to optimize visual comfort. If no one is detected for an extended length of time, the display enters standby mode.
