Rootstock Software® Debuts ERP Connector to Salesforce Field Service Lightning

Rootstock

Rootstock Software Logo

“Field service managers are often disconnected from financial information and struggle to manage financial performance,” said Tom Brennan, CMO of Rootstock Software. “Now, with our ERP Connector, they have data at their fingertips, so they’ll have more control over the finances of their operations.”

Rootstock Software, a leading provider of cloud Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions built on the Salesforce Platform, designed for manufacturing, distribution and supply chain organizations and available on the AppExchange, today launched an ERP Connector between its Cloud ERP solution and Salesforce Field Service Lightning. Rootstock will unveil the benefits of this connector during a Dreamforce 2019 (San Francisco, Nov. 19 – 22) session entitled “Improve Margins & the Financial Management of Your Field Service Organization” on Nov. 20 and at its booth #630.

Today, many manufacturers want to manage field service operations as an independent business unit with its own profit and loss – or at least more closely oversee the revenue and expenses related to these operations. Consequently, they need to equip their field service departments with the tools and data needed to enhance profitability, administrative efficiency, and customer service.

“Field service managers are often disconnected from financial information and struggle to control and manage their financial performance,” said Tom Brennan, CMO of Rootstock Software. “Now, with our ERP Connector, they have this data at their fingertips, so they’ll have more visibility into and control over the finances of their operations. Our connector enables them to streamline administrative functions, such as generating invoices, and at the same time, it can enhance invoicing accuracy, which bolsters customer experience and satisfaction.”

Rootstock’s ERP Connector provides the following key features and capabilities, which support financial management of field service operations:

  • CREATE INVOICES – WITH ONE CLICK – FROM WORK ORDERS. While field service has always been able to create and manage work orders, disconnection from a company’s ERP often resulted in manual processes that were prone to administrative error, process delays and customer satisfaction issues. Now, with Rootstock’s ERP Connector, companies can generate invoices from work orders with a click of the mouse. Invoices can be generated in a more timely and accurate fashion. In addition, manufacturers have the integrated information they need to improve cash flow and collections.
  • LEVERAGE A 360° VIEW OF COSTS TO ENHANCE FINANCIAL RESULTS. The Rootstock ERP Connector helps to track the costs of parts and labor at the invoice level. Field service managers are able to monitor gross profit margins by invoice, work order and customer. When billing for field services, managers can choose from flexible pricing options from within Rootstock’s Cloud ERP. Greater visibility into costs and more pricing options help facilitate improved revenue and profitability.

GetLinked Announces Continued Growth with Software Sales

Financial Integration Leaders

GetLinked Software

We have continued to advance GetLinked Software and its ability to import, validate and transfer daily sales, payroll, payables, receivables and more with little or no manual interaction from the customer. The software performs the same for one location or multiple locations.

GetLinked® software is finishing a successful year with high expectations for 2020.

GetLinked Software has seen an increase in installations for its software installed in restaurants, hotels, fitness centers and other hospitality venues compared to recent years and the growth looks like it should continue in 2020.

With the good economy businesses are spending money to update their equipment including investments in automation such as connecting their point of sale, time clocks, vendor transactions and more with their financial accounting systems. They are contacting their local point of sale dealer, accountant or searching online for any products or services that can seamlessly transfer transactions into their accounting and payroll systems. GetLinked Software has been around for decades providing financial interfaces and is recognized for their quick and efficient software that links to hundreds of systems using one software program.

The largest increase in module sales has been the POSLink module that electronically imports customers sales transactions whether it is quick service, fine dining, hotel accommodations or even fitness memberships to different financial accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Intacct or Peoplesoft.

The next most requested module is the PRLink module used for eliminating all the manual entry of time punches, tips and even employee miscellaneous deductions across multiple locations that occur in the hospitality industry.

Other GetLinked Software modules that have seen an increase in sales are the APLink module that imports and transfers vendor invoices to a customer’s accounts payable system allowing the accounting department or outside accounting firm to age and pay the invoices faster without rekeying the data into their accounts payable.

The largest growth area has been with accounting firms providing bookkeeping services to their clients at a lower cost by using GetLinked Software and services in their back office.

The other growth area has been large franchisors automating integration between their various point of sale and payroll systems to their financial accounting. They have been able to slash their costs of manually tracking and entering transactions for dozens or even hundreds of locations within their accounting department. Many of these customers did not believe it was possible to automate all their different point of sale, time clocks and vendor systems through one software program located at their corporate office or hosted in the cloud. Franchise owners using outside accounting firms use GetLinked remotely for the preparation of timely financial reporting thereby lowering overall costs substantially.

“We have continued to advance GetLinked Software and its ability to import, validate and transfer daily sales, payroll, payables, receivables and more with little or no manual interaction from the customer. The software performs the same for one location or multiple locations.” says Jim DeFede, a development manager with GetLinked.

The favorite features of GetLinked are that users can assign their own account numbers from their financial system one time and automate the daily import and transfer of balanced transactions. The other favorite feature users can select amounts to be automatically transferred to predetermined accounts and variances are automatically identified.

Service providers, such as accounting firms and payroll processors, have now discovered the benefits of using GetLinked to provide financial integration to franchise owners.

GetLinked is compatible with hundreds of point of sale, timeclock, accounting and payroll systems including Clover, Square, Revention, Micros, Aloha, Intacct, QuickBooks, Microsoft Financial Systems (GP, Navision, etc.), PeopleSoft, SAP, Bank of America, First Data, ADP and many more.

About GetLinked®

GetLinked® is a software program developed and maintained by Accounting Solutions, Inc., provider of financial integration tools for over 30 years. New Technology Disrupts Industrial Microfabrication

MLA300 Maskless Aligner

Heidelberg Instruments – a leading power in direct-write photolithography – officially released their new Maskless Aligner MLA300 for volume production of wafers up to 300 mm.

The MLA300 brings the flexibility and performance of maskless lithography to the production line in a wide range of applications: Integrated circuits, advanced packaging, discrete electronic devices and sensors, micro-optics, microfluidics, MEMS, probe cards for IC testing – just to name a few.

The expertise accumulated over more than 35 years of developing photolithography tools was poured into an engineering masterpiece: The MLA300 technology is based on the combination of high-speed optical engines powered by solid-state light sources, and MEMS-based optical modulators. The system can integrate up to 4 optic modules to provide the high throughput required in industrial volume production. These modules can have different wavelengths and resolutions, allowing the users to customize the system according to their requirements regarding feature size, writing speed, resists and substrate handling.

Steffen Diez, COO of Heidelberg Instruments, says: “Our R&D team really pushed the limits of direct-write lithography. We are very proud of the MLA300, it is the most advanced tool we have ever built. It is unique in many ways, and it is also the only production-ready solution for industrial microfabrication currently available in the market. The MLA300 can be used as a replacement for Mask Aligners or Steppers and in particular in applications where maskless lithography has a significant advantage: For example, in applications which use materials with different thermal expansion, where warpage can measure up to 300 µm. Our tool compensates warpage with the real-time Autofocus system and ensures that each section of the substrate is exposed in focus.”

Philip Paul, the product manager of the MLA300, adds: “The flexibility of the dynamic mask approach enables our customers to easily implement any changes in the device design. The users can also measure and immediately compensate for variations from previous processing steps or the die shift in packaging applications.”

The MLA300 is designed as a fully integrated solution with a minimal footprint. The maskless technology eliminates the time and costs associated with the use of photomasks and frees the customers from data security risks related to producing masks externally. The tool is fully automated and can be customised to match the production facility requirements. The standard resolution is specified at 2 µm lines and spaces, with throughput being 2.6 minutes for a 100 x 100 mm substrate. The first MLA300 system operates successfully at a production site in Germany. More are on order, their delivery scheduled by the end of 2019.

Visit us at the Productronica in Munich (12. – 15. November 2019) at Booth No B2 440.

About Heidelberg Instruments: With an installation base of well over 900 systems in more than 50 countries, Heidelberg Instruments is a world leader in production of high-precision maskless lithography systems. Due to their flexibility, these systems are used in research, development and industrial applications for direct writing and photomask production by some of the most prestigious universities and industry leaders in the areas of MEMS, BioMEMS, nanotechnology, ASICS, TFT, plasma displays, micro optics, and many other related applications.
