From L-R at today’s dedication ceremony: Jimmy Wu, GM and Owner’s Representative, Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Jennifer Chang, CEO, Noodoe EV and Janet Burt, L.A. Housing + Community Commissioner

We’re extremely proud to bring our five-star Noodoe EV charging stations to this historic landmark hotel

Noodoe, a global leader in EV charging technology, has just completed installation of ten S1000 EV charging stations at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel, one of L.A.’s most historic and iconic landmarks. As electric cars become commonplace, guests are starting to choose where they stay based on the presence of EV charging. Hotels no longer see EV charging as a perk but as a necessity, and are responding to fill this accelerating customer demand with solutions as advanced as their vehicles. Effective through December 31, 2019, the Biltmore is offering a “2 Electrifying Hours Free” holiday special.

“We’re extremely proud to bring our five-star Noodoe EV charging stations to this historic landmark hotel,” Jennifer Chang. “Our Noodoe EV OS system is as smart and sophisticated as the Millennium Biltmore. The hotel has a year of historic firsts, from hosting the Academy Awards, to JFK’s 1960 nomination speech, to welcoming the Beatles in ’64 and housing the Olympic Committee in 1984. Our installation of Noodoe EV chargers in 2019 will bring the latest of sleep n’ charge solutions to the Millennium Biltmore guests and their electric vehicles.”

As an enduring industry leader in the hospitality industry, the Millennium Biltmore recognizes the latest trends in hospitality and technology and is taking action to continue to fulfill their current and future guests’ needs. All forecasts indicate that electric cars are rapidly growing from niche to common. A Bloomberg New Energy Finance report, predicts that sales of electric vehicles will increase from a record 1.1 million worldwide in 2017 to 11 million in 2025 and then to 30 million in 2030 as the price of manufacturing the vehicles continues to decline.

“The Millennium Biltmore continues to be at the forefront of delivering exceptional offerings to our modern and tech savvy travelers,” said Jimmy Wu, General Manager and Owner’s Representative of Millennium Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles. “By bringing EV charging stations to our hotel, we are providing a necessary amenity to many of our guests and expect it to become a sought after trend over time.”

Why Noodoe

At the heart of the commercial Noodoe EV Charging Station is a cloud-based OS that serves as its brain. The OS seamlessly taps into a business’s existing electricity supply bandwidth. It manages the charging experience for customers, allowing them to use any form of payment at the pump, including credit cards, Apple or Google Pay. The OS also provides management functions that empower owners to configure pricing, modify peak hours, monitor charging while supervising the entire charging infrastructure. “Noodoe is the only commercial EV charger that offers a complete cloud-based solution,” states Chang. “The OS is designed as a future-proof system, able to integrate additional features as new industry priorities or requirements arise.” Current industry-leading features of Noodoe’s EV OS include Universal Charging Service, Comprehensive Payment Processing, Central Management, Service Personnel Access, Automated Diagnostics and Operational Analytics.

BUTTON Wallet, a leading messenger-based cryptocurrency solution for trading and buying digital assets, announces today its involvement in the LongHash Hatch and ZILHive Incubator, a joint 12-week incubation program that provides a full range of support for early-stage blockchain projects. BUTTON Wallet is using the Incubator as an opportunity to further develop simpler, more secured platforms through which users can exchange ZIL token cryptocurrency and make peer-to-peer payments. BUTTON Wallet has chosen to participate based on its growing presence in Asia supported by offices in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Berlin, Zug, and Singapore.

“BUTTON Wallet is focused on white label solutions for Ziliqa (including t.me/zilliqawalletbot) based on a decentralized ecosystem of blockchain companies for B2B2C and to bringing users simplified ways of creating peer-to-peer transactions and difi solutions, and continues to seek new ways to deliver services via the digital wallet,” said Nick Kozlov, CTO at BUTTON Wallet. “Participating in the Incubator offers BUTTON Wallet the chance to increase the Zilliqa’s community within the BUTTON Wallet audience and propel mass adoption by leveraging the already-popular messenger infrastructure as a decentralized platform for simple payments.”

The program includes mentoring, investor outreach, technical delivery, PR/marketing/community management, and modularized knowledge sharing to facilitate the development of a viable beta-version product that will be released shortly after the program ends. BUTTON Wallet, along with the four other participants, will present their latest iteration of their cryptocurrency and fiat transaction platform on December 11, 2019 and will pitch to investors on November 25-26, 2019.

“BUTTON Wallet is using the Incubator as an opportunity to continue the move from a crypto wallet to messenger-based banking,” notes Alexandr Safonov, BUTTON Wallet CEO. “In the next six-to-12 months, we will add more de-fi / exchange capabilities as we become a leader in the burgeoning messenger based banking industry that will likely surpass the mobile banking industry.”

Each project will be guaranteed non-dilutive grant funding of $20,000 USD upon completion of the incubation program. ZILHive is part of the Zilliqa Grant Ecosystem Program, a $5 million investment pool to support dApp development. ZILHive is a joint effort with LongHash, a global blockchain incubator supported by the government of Singapore.

Tripp Lite’s New HDMI Extenders Maintain 4K Signal Quality in Multi-Display Installations

The 2- and 4-port B127P transmitters can extend HDMI video and stereo signals up to 200 ft. over Cat6 cable, as well as deliver power to remote receivers using Power over Cable (PoC) technology.

Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of power protection and connectivity solutions, makes it easy to preserve UHD picture quality on 4K HDR displays when they are installed in conjunction with lower-quality 1080p displays. Most other HDMI extenders will transmit a single resolution to all displays in an installation and default to the lowest supported resolution. Tripp Lite’s B127P series extenders, however, transmit the highest resolution each individual display will support, up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) @ 60 Hz.

“These new extenders allow customers to keep costs in check across multi-display installations,” said David Posner, Tripp Lite’s Director of Product Marketing, Connectivity. “They can put new 4K displays front-and-center without having to upgrade secondary 1080p displays in order to maintain optimal signal quality.”

The 2- and 4-port B127P transmitters can extend HDMI video and stereo signals up to 200 ft. over Cat6 cable, as well as deliver power to remote receivers using Power over Cable (PoC) technology. They create UHD-quality viewing experiences in environments where source devices and displays are dispersed, picture qualities vary and AC outlets are limited.

Key Features

  • Multi-resolution adaptability for signal quality up to 3840 x 2160 (4K x 2K) @ 60 Hz
  • Cat6 cables extend 4K HDMI signals up to 125 ft. and 1080p HDMI signals up to 200 ft.
  • 4:4:4 chroma subsampling for PC gaming or using an HDTV as a computer monitor
  • 7.1-channel digital audio for robust stereo sound
  • PoC technology for powering compatible devices without requiring connection to AC outlets
  • Daisy-chain option for adding more transmitters and displays
  • Plug-and-play setup with included mounting hardware for convenient installation
  • TAA-compliant for GSA Schedule purchases
