XCentium Releases Accelerators for the Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud Platform

“Being able to apply XCentium’s considerable B2B Commerce experience to build the accelerators, and in turn seeing the concrete difference they make to our customers is a very gratifying experience,” shared Thomas Wagner, Vice President of Commerce and Salesforce Practice Director at XCentium.

XCentium, a full-service digital consultancy firm and a leader in the digital eCommerce industry, today announced they have released 20 accelerators for Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud, which will enhance productivity and speed up implementation of commerce initiatives on this B2B Commerce Cloud platform.

Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud is a cloud-based business to business commerce solution that is fully integrated with the Salesforce platform. That integration gives B2BCommerce cloud unparallel access to all Salesforce products from Sales and Service Cloud to Einstein AI and Marketing Cloud. As a B2B Commerce solution, this platform stands alone in its breadth and capability. The B2B Commerce Accelerators have been developed based on XCentium’s deep experience delivering commerce solutions on the Salesforce platform. Not only do accelerators provide customers with system implementation efficiencies, in the case of the RMA module and Large Shopping Cart, they provide functionality that does not exist natively in B2B Commerce Cloud.

Realizing the power and of Salesforce accelerators, XCentium is determined to lead the way in the development of these productivity multipliers. Tom Nguyen and Teja Yarlagadda, both architects on the XCentium Salesforce team, have spearheaded this development effort for the past two years.

XCentium’s accelerators released today are designed to offer unique functionality and improvements for Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud implementations, providing ecommerce functionality that help to engage with customers and sell, operate storefronts more efficiently, optimize the buyer’s commerce experience and evolve the seller’s commerce strategy. These Salesforce B2B Commerce Cloud accelerators include:

Engage and Sell:

Quick Order Component

XCentium’s quick order component can handle more rows than the equivalent out-of-the-box component. In addition, this component supports multiple units of measure per line item during quick order.

Order File Upload Component

Allows buyers to upload CSV files and automatically convert the file to a shopping cart, drastically reducing manual entry time.

Extended Order Grid Component

Many ERP systems support publication of “Available To Promise” data. The extended order grid can display these values and support calendar grid based ordering.

Shared Cart Component

Unique to XCentium, the shared cart component allows buyers to fill a cart and a supervisor to approve/execute the SAME cart.

Extended Base Template

A special base template for B2B Commerce Cloud to encompasses best UI/UX practices

Operate more efficiently:

Tax Extension

This extension offers prebuilt integration between B2B Commerce Cloud and Avalara, as well as Vertex.

Payment Processor Module

This accelerator supports Authorize.NET, Paymetric, PayPal, Cybersource and Chargent, saving considerable integration and implementation time.

Shipping Extension

This extension provides a prebuilt integration between B2B Commerce Cloud and the FedEx web service.

Address Verification Component

This component integrates B2B Commerce Cloud address data entry for shipping, billing, registration etc., with the USPS address verification service to assure data cleanliness.

Optimize the commerce experience:

Enhanced Discount Engine

Merchandizers do not have time to individually pick products to group together for discount purposes. This enhanced discount engine allows the merchandizer to describe characteristics of products and the engine will automatically generate the appropriate pool of discounted merchandize. As inventory changes, the discount engine automatically identifies new products that are eligible for either discount or benefit selection.

RMA Component

B2B Commerce Cloud does not ship with an RMA module. XCentium provides this accelerator to create a Service Cloud case for returns authorization, or even to send the data directly into the ERP.

Integration Framework

The integration framework provides pre-built functionality to import CSV files into Salesforce Staging Objects and from there into Salesforce / B2B Commerce Core Objects.

Availability Extension Module

Originally designed to work hand in hand with the Extended Order Grid, this module can be added to any project in order to provide Quantity on Hand + Available to Promise / Available to Ship functionality across multiple warehouses.

Evolve the sellers commerce strategy:

Very Large Cart Component (3000 products)

The very large cart component was designed to overcome the size limitations inherent to the out-of-the-box cart. XCentium’s cart can handle thousands of products.

My Document View

This component extends B2B Commerce Cloud to show Salesforce “My Documents” in the Account / Profile section of the web.

Pricing Engine Extension Module

Pricing extension allows leveraging OOTB, custom rules or calling external services / ERP for pricing logic.

Entitlement Extension Module

This module supports enhanced customer segmentation and personalization code.

Notification Component

For customers who have Salesforce Marketing Cloud, the Notification Component provides connectivity between B2B Commerce and Marketing Cloud.

Locale Switcher Component

The locale switcher lets the buyer change the language for a storefront display with one button click.

Google Map Locator Component

Most frequently used in a B2B2C scenarios, a consumer can type their zip code and the Google Map Locator component will list all applicable retail locations nearby. The retail locations are correlated to Salesforce accounts in the B2B system.

AEC Next and SPAR 3D announce Call for Speakers for co-located 2021 event in Denver, CO

“The unprecedented situation that we’re living through has caused the entire world to change and events are changing with it,” said Event Director Christine Salmon.

The AEC Next Technology Expo + Conference and the SPAR 3D Expo & Conference, taking place in Denver, CO, March 30 – April 1, 2021, have announced a Call for Speakers and invite interested parties to submit their presentation abstracts by Friday, September 4, 2020.

As professionals across all industries adapt to the new challenges presented by the consequences of the pandemic, the push towards digitization, improved collaboration, and streamlining workflows has never been more crucial. From digital tools that allow for critical infrastructure projects to continue while keeping employees distanced and safe, to those that facilitate live collaboration on complex projects from anywhere, the crisis of the pandemic has brought forth a wave of creativity and innovation. The SPAR 3D and AEC Next conference content in 2021 will explore and highlight what these changes and innovations mean for architecture, engineering, and construction professionals of all types.

This year, there will be special emphasis on sessions that highlight the technologies that industry professionals will use to work in the future: virtual collaboration, digital twins, interactions in VR environments, advances in automation, and more. Technology applications to be covered in the 2021 conference also include:

  • 3D Modeling

In this rapidly-changing market, education is critical. At AEC Next and SPAR 3D, we carefully develop conference topics in cooperation with an Advisory Board of esteemed professionals and thoroughly vet prospective speakers. Our goal is to provide outstanding, actionable information on the critical issues industrial users face integrating or operating technology and to provide a glimpse at what’s coming next.

“The unprecedented situation that we’re living through has caused the entire world to change and the AEC Next and SPAR 3D events are changing with it,” said Event Director Christine Salmon. “Our focus has always been to highlight what it means for professionals to adopt and utilize new tools in order to create value. Understanding what it looks like to actually do so in this ever-evolving world is more important than ever, which is why the content at our events will explore how professionals can use new tools to make an impact in the present. Doing so will effectively set them up for success in a future that is taking shape before our eyes.”

Recommended presentation abstracts should focus on business case studies (ex. ROI analysis, material cost savings), which relate to the application of built world and 3D technologies in support of relevant commercial, industrial and government projects. Applicants are strongly encouraged to include their clients as co-presenters. Preference will be given to asset owner presenters (the end users of the technology). Vendors are encouraged to nominate asset owner customers to present or co-present. Product presentations will not be selected for the main program but are available to exhibiting companies in the Product Previews section of pre-conference programming.

Because the events are co-located, each application will be considered for both conferences. Some may qualify for dual placement, meaning the session will be accessible to both AEC Next and SPAR 3D attendees.

Interested applicants can submit an application here. If you have questions about the speaker selection process, or need guidance regarding your proposed abstract submission, please contact either of our 2021 conference chairs below. You can also view our 2020 Virtual Content to stay up to date.

CellGate Releases Two Important Functionality Upgrades to Their Watchman Product Customers This Week

CellGate Announces Two Functionality Upgrades to Their Product Line

“No other manufacturer in the industry currently has a cellular gate access control system that knows to ignore calls that go to voice mail, so it really is an important differentiator for us because no one wants visitors to get stranded at a gate.” Noel Gouldin, President of CellGate

Beginning this week, cellular access control company, CellGate, is rolling out important functionality upgrades to their current Watchman product line.

The first upgrade is the addition of Voice Mail Intelligence (VMI) to the entire Watchman family of products. With VMI, when a visitor hits the “Call” button on a Watchman system, and it begins to dial the designated parties on the call group that are allowed to grant access–if any of those calls goes to voice mail, the system ignores that call and continues calling the remaining numbers on the list of people that can grant access. This means fewer stranded visitors because each visitor is more likely to reach someone on the call group to grant them access.

CellGate initially launched Voice Mail Intelligence in the Fall of 2019 when they introduced their new Watchman W410 advanced telephone entry system, and at the time that was the only product that came with VMI. Now, all in-service and future Watchman products sold will automatically have the Voice Mail Intelligent feature.

The second upgrade CellGate has announced this week is their move to a single mobile “app,” which is called the “CellGate app.” Currently the Company has 2 apps in service: the CellGate app, and the Watchman EVO app—and they each were utilized for different CellGate company products or functionality. Moving forward, all CellGate products can be controlled from the single CellGate app, making it very simple for customers to determine which CellGate company app to utilize.

In addition to this streamlining the customer’s mobile experience, CellGate is also launching new functionality on the single CellGate app. Beginning this week, single family Watchman product customers utilizing the new CellGate app will be able to create user access codes directly from the app if they wish; previously all user access codes could only be set up via CellGate’s TrueCloud web portal. This feature makes it even easier for CellGate single family product customers to manage their gate access control system while on-the-go.

CellGate President, Noel Gouldin, says his product development team has been hard at work preparing for these functionality changes, and is excited for them to finally be introduced. “We are proud to roll out Voice Mail Intelligence into the entire Watchman product line, because it will be so beneficial to our customer’s user experience. No other manufacturer in the industry currently has a cellular gate access control system that knows to ignore calls that go to voice mail, so it really is an important differentiator for us because no one wants visitors to get stranded at a gate,” says Gouldin. “We are also thrilled to announce the move to a single company app, as it will allow us to roll out new features and functionality more quickly and it makes things easier for the end user as well,” said Gouldin.

To learn more about CellGate’s products, features and functionality, visit their website, http://www.cell-gate.com.

CellGate has been providing access control and security monitoring products utilizing cellular network technology since 2006. They are the only technology company with a complete suite of cellular-based security products—encompassing streaming video, smart keypad entry, voice and camera solutions. With their easy-to-use smart phone applications and proprietary TrueCloud web-based portal built on Microsoft Azure’s cloud service, CellGate offers flexibility found in no other access control or monitoring solution.

Colorado Time Systems Releases Innovative Connection Device

The “USB2USB” device allows for a computer to computer serial connection using only the device and two 5 meter or less USB A to B cables just like you use for your printer, whereas the typical serial to serial data connection requires several components.

Colorado Time Systems, a PlayCore company, has developed a computer component that simplifies serial to serial data connections. The “USB2USB” device allows for a computer to computer serial connection using only the device and two 5 meter or less USB A to B cables just like you use for your printer. Whereas the typical serial to serial data connection used to connect one computer to another requires several components.

The USB2USB device proves to be supportive for any serial to serial data connection, here are some examples of how this solution can clean up your existing connections between your Colorado Time equipment and your meet management computer.

Meet management to DisplayLink computer:

Rather than using a null modem and gender changer to connect your meet management computer to your DisplayLink computer, simply plug a USB A to B cable into any available USB port on your DisplayLink computer plug the other end of the cable into either side of the USB2USB device. Plug another USB A to B cable into any available USB port on your DisplayLink computer and plug the free end into the USB2USB device. The two computers can now transfer serial data.

Meet management to Gen7 control computer:

You can also use the USB2USB device to connect your meet management computer directly to your Gen7 control computer for both swimming and diving. Connect USB cables to any available USB port on both the meet management computer and the Gen7 control computer then connect the free ends of both USB cables to the USB2USB device.

Consult your meet management software user manual for specific connection requirements.
