PRO-VISION® Unveils New BODYCAM® 4 Body-Worn Camera

The New BODYCAM 4

Pro-Vision Video Systems, a leader in mobile video solutions, announced today the release of its new Bodycam 4 body-worn camera – the dependable, fully-integrated body-worn camera you can count on to capture video evidence you can trust.

Bodycam 4 is intelligently designed to provide a cost-effective approach for policing in today’s world. With RFID Login, departments can purchase Bodycam 4 based on need instead of officer head count. This enables officers on different shifts to easily share a single body-worn camera, allowing departments to get what they need today while still being able to add more as resources allow.

Bodycam 4 is designed to make the process of capturing video evidence as simple as possible. The device features configurable Full-Shift Continuous Recording and Pre-Event Recording buffers to ensure critical events are not missed, even without hitting record. Bodycam 4 can also be automatically activated by any vehicle within a 30-foot range to keep the focus where it should be – on the situation at hand.

“We believe that every department should be able to get intelligent technology without ruining their budgets,” said Corey Mathews, sales manager – law enforcement division at Pro-Vision. “The Bodycam 4 is specifically designed with that in mind. We want to help departments tell the full story of what happened during an incident, and Bodycam 4 is the tool they need to do that.”

Users can trust the evidence they capture with Integrated GPS that stamps coordinates on video files and in metadata to provide the extra details needed to tell the full story.

Uploading and managing video evidence is also easier with Bodycam 4’s Flexible Docking & Video Upload features. Users can upload evidence directly to the SecuraMax™ Cloud evidence management solution from camera docking stations either in the field or at the office. The ability to simultaneously tag Bodycam 4 and Pro-Vision HD In-Car Video System evidence using timeline-based tagging increases efficiency and simplifies the evidence management process.

Departments are also only charged for SecuraMax access per device, not per user. This allows departments to provide access to the software without having to spend more on extra software licenses.

To provide dependable performance in any environment, Bodycam 4 features an IP68 waterproof rating, a military-rated design and a 14-Hour Full-Shift Replaceable Battery.

3 Legged Thing Introduces Nicky and Tommy – The Newest Tripods In Their Legends Range

3 Legged Thing Legends Nicky and Tommy carbon fibre tripods

3 Legged Thing Legends Nicky and Tommy carbon fibre tripods

I am delighted to see them finally join our already incredible portfolio of tripods

Continuing to grow on the huge success of the Legends Range, 3 Legged Thing announces two new additional hybrid tripods, Nicky and Tommy. These two tripods share a number of familiar features with the rest of the range while showing off a new interchangeable flat plate to suit photographers and a 75mm bowl mount to suit videographers. Both tripods can support loads up to 60kg / 132.2 lbs.

“Since we launched 10 years ago, we have focussed primarily on travel tripods, giving them greater rigidity and stability than any other travel tripod on the market. With Nicky & Tommy we have taken that technology and applied it to our first ever wildlife & video focussed tripods. In testing, the results have been absolutely outstanding, and I am delighted to see them finally join our already incredible portfolio of tripods. Video tripods were always going to be a challenge for me to design, as the purpose and functions fall outside of my wheelhouse as a photographer, but over the last 3 years I have consulted with a number of world-class videographers and wildlife photographers to produce two products that not only withstand the rigours of even the most brutal terrain and weather conditions, but also the functionality and innovation long sought by those using these products on a daily basis.” – Danny Lenihan, Founder & CEO of 3 Legged Thing.

Nicky and Tommy follow in the steps of the rest of the Legends and have been named after two more awesome skateboarders, Nicky Guerrero and Tommy Guerrero. Nicky is a 4-section carbon fibre tripod. He is 1.56m / 61.41” tall fully extended and can still reach as low as 12.4cm / 4.88”. With 3 detachable legs he is able to pack down into most carry-on cases – an ideal, and incredibly robust, travel companion. Tommy is a 3-section carbon fibre tripod with 35mm / 1.38” tubing. He is the sturdiest tripod to date across all of the 3LT ranges. Folding down to 73cm / 28.74”, reaching heights of 1.62m / 63.77” fully extended and with 3 detachable legs, he offers incredible strength and versatility.

3 Legged Thing have introduced a few new features for these two tripods; interchangeable plates, wider carbon fibre tubing and a new impressive load capability. Nicky and Tommy will come complete with a flat plate with a 3/8”-16 thread, to allow for a standard AirHed or video head to be mounted, and a 75mm bowl mount for video heads. Channels for cables have been machined into the canopy, along with a 1/4”-20 accessory thread for monitors and other compatible devices. The new tubing is the most substantial 3LT have used to date, this means that not only do they have unparalleled rigidity and stability, but they can support up to 60kg / 132.2 lbs of gear. They also feature 3 detachable legs – something never before available on video tripods.

Nicky and Tommy will come complete with a clamshell-opening, protective nylon carry case which has 2 pockets – one internally to hold the additional plate and one on the outside to carry a variety of interchangeable footwear available from 3LT.

Both tripods are constructed from 8 layers of 100% pure Japanese carbon fibre, and aerospace-grade, anodised magnesium alloy, providing incredible strength, rigidity, and durability. They feature 3 detachable legs to enable conversion to a table-top tripod with the help of 3LT’s Vanz tripod footwear, which are available to buy separately. The legs can be used as monopods and boom arms for microphones or lights.

The Legends style twist locks with O-Pads give users improved, grip, leverage and water displacement. Internally both Nicky and Tommy’s locks feature the new style of Chicken Lips (shims) that give improved strength and create an unprecedented level of stability. 3LT’s Rapid Latch makes adjusting the leg angles quick and easy for those with impairments or wearing thick gloves.

Nicky and Tommy are available for pre-order starting today from local retailers or direct from 3leggedthing.com

Nicky, including both flat plate and 75mm bowl mount – SRP: £699.99 GBP / $749.99 USD

Aquiline Drones Signs Exclusive Manufacturing and Distribution License Agreement with World’s Top Drone and Sensor Company, Drone Volt

In its new partnership with Drone Volt, Aquiline Drones will take over the global production of the Hercules 2 drone design, filling a much-needed gap in American-made drone products and systems.

Being able to fill the national UAS void with competitively-priced, American-made drone products and supporting 100% US supply chain is a must – we are extremely proud of this achievement,

Aquiline Drones (AD), the Hartford-based manufacturer of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) and cloud solutions provider for commercial drone operations, today announced that it has signed exclusive US manufacturing and distribution licensing agreements with Drone Volt (ALDRV.PA), a French aeronautic manufacturer of professional civilian drones, on-board artificial intelligence, edge computing and unmanned aerial systems (UAS) production.

Under the terms of this five-year agreement, Aquiline Drones will take over the global production of two popular and proven drones from Drone Volt’s suite of products, including the Hercules 2 and the highly coveted, Altura Zenith. Aquiline Drones will also be the sole manufacturer of the Pensar smart camera, a multispectral sensor, complete with artificial intelligence and edge computing capabilities.

Further to this collaboration, Aquiline Drones will be the exclusive provider of the Hercules 2, Altura Zenith and the Pensar in the United States, thus filling a much-needed gap in American-made drone products and systems.

“We are delighted beyond measure for this aptly timed and mutually beneficial union with Drone Volt,” said Barry Alexander, CEO and founder of Aquiline Drones. “While we have been in operation for just under two years, we spent almost four years incubating this idea of making Hartford ‘Drone Central’ and the State of Connecticut the ‘Drone Capital’ of the US. Our partnership with Drone Volt has catapulted us to the front of the line with world-class design and unmatched capabilities in the commercial drone space.”

“This contract is a historic step for our group as it turns the largest market in the world into an important profit sector. Over the last months, we have created a strong relationship with the Aquiline Drones’ team, which could lead to additional contracts in the future,” said Sylvain Navarro, CFO of Drone Volt.

The new development comes on the heel of the US Department of Justice’s (DOJ’s) announcement on October 9th, that it has officially banned the use of DOJ funds to purchase or operate any drone from ‘covered foreign’ countries. China is estimated to originate more than 70% of the global share of commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) drones. This development paves the way for US-based manufacturers of drones, such as Aquiline Drones, to enter an industry growing at 13.8% annually with a potential market of $127 billion.

“Being able to fill the national UAS void with competitively-priced, American-made drone products and supporting 100% US supply chain is a must – we are extremely proud of this achievement,” said Retired General Brooks Bash, Chief Strategic Advisor at Aquiline Drones. “What started as a casual conversation between our companies has quickly morphed into a close collaboration of synergies to address the needs of an extremely underserved market worldwide and, principally, in the United States.”

Aquiline Drones’ production process will manufacture 1,300 by the end of 2020 and an expected output rate of 10,000 drones per month by the end of 2021. The company will also add 55 new technical and manufacturing jobs in Hartford by year’s end, with the goal of exceeding 1,000 positions by the end of 2024.

Raza Khanji, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Aquiline Drones, will be responsible for the technology integration with Drone Volt on the combined platforms, artificial intelligence and end-to-end IoT connectivity along with implementing AD’s blockchain infrastructure. Khanji also heads AD’s Total Planetary Protection (TPP) initiative which includes AD Academy’s novel Flight to the Future (F2F) drone pilot training program, accessed via ADflight.to/future.

As part of the terms of the deal, both companies will exchange 10% of each company’s ownership with the other, an arrangement scheduled to be completed before year-end 2020.

“We believe an exchange in equity strengthens our commitment to each other to ensure we do what we can to move both brands forward optimally,” noted Alexander. “Our partnership with Drone Volt, as a publicly-traded company in Europe, will ensure robust and steady growth for its shareholders, while allowing us at Aquiline Drones access to years of cutting-edge research and development in UAS technology. This union makes both companies more potent than the sum of our parts, allowing for a US-based provider of commercial drone solutions both at home and abroad.”

About Aquiline Drones

Founded by highly experienced aviators, systems engineers, IT gurus and business strategists, AD delivers a vertically integrated blend of products and services including a unique aviation cloud for commercial drones, US-based drone manufacturing, ‘maintenance-repair-overhaul’ services for drones, unmanned aerial systems (UAS) solutions for large enterprises and governments, a superior line of Spartacus drone products, a robust UAS training academy, and the country’s first ‘drone-on-demand’ service that enables customers to order drone services through a proprietary mobile app. AD’s full-spectrum of technological solutions are widely applicable across countless industries and environments for superior, real-time data processing and insights.
