Trailcampro Reviews First-Ever Live Streaming Trail Camera—Spartan GoLive

spartan Golive live streaming cellular trail camera

Spartan GoLive

“The Spartan GoLive is a technological breakthrough. Users can now receive a notification when their camera detects motion, then log in to view live streaming video. In a security application, owners can now distinguish false alarms from real break-ins and respond accordingly.”

Trail cameras capture photos or video upon detecting motion, which allows owners to monitor anything from small animals to trespassers on their property. This technology started with basic memory card storage but has now evolved to live stream video with the launch of Spartan GoLive. Without the need for Wi-Fi or electricity, this highly anticipated game camera is a truly mobile solution that can be set up in minutes.

“The Spartan GoLive is a technological breakthrough,” said Rich Howell, Owner, Trailcampro. “Users can now receive a notification when their camera detects motion, then log in to view live streaming video. In a security application, owners can now distinguish false alarms from real break-ins and respond accordingly.”

Since opening in 2003, Trailcampro has tested and reviewed thousands of game cameras. Ratings are based on trigger speed, recovery time, flash range, battery life, lens angle, and detection range/angle/area. With a score of 88/100, the Spartan GoLive streaming game camera has claimed second place overall for 2021 cellular trail cameras. Not only is live stream video accessible when the camera detects motion, but it’s also GPS enabled. Therefore, users can track down the camera if it’s stolen or misplaced.

Another key feature of the Spartan GoLive trail camera is the external power jack. Attach a solar panel and this camera can operate indefinitely with sufficient sunlight. If you prefer batteries, the GoLive game camera can last up to 9 months on 12 Energizer Ultimate Lithium AAs. In fact, Trailcampro awarded the GoLive a 100/100 battery life rating.

GoLive streaming capability is made possible through a Verizon or AT&T data plan provided by Spartan. Users don’t have to use the same service as their cell phone plan and their selection should be based on the best service in the area. A range of data plans is available to coincide with the user’s streaming frequency.

Whether users are interested in security or monitoring wildlife, the Spartan GoLive trail camera has proven to be a revolutionary system. To purchase or obtain more information, visit trailcampro.com or speak to one of their trained experts at 1-800-791-0660 M-F, 9-5 EST.

Mobile Pixels launches portable laptop monitors to make any laptop dual-screen

News Image

DUEX Plus and DUEX Lite are lightweight and portable, and make multitasking easier for professionals

Today Mobile Pixels launched DUEX Plus and DUEX Lite, portable laptop monitors that let users leverage dual screen productivity from anywhere. Both DUEX Plus and DUEX Lite are now available on Kickstarter for $194 USD and $189 USD respectively.

Both DUEX models attach to a laptop via a one-time magnetic adhesive and connect via USB. The display simply slides out from the magnetic backing and can be attached to either side of a laptop’s screen. When used with a laptop that has USB type C, both DUEX models do not require any third party software to work; users simply plug in and use. In addition to laptops, DUEX Plus also works with Android phones and Nintendo Switch.

“DUEX Plus and DUEX Lite are lightweight and portable, and make multitasking easier for professionals,” said co-founder Jack Yao. “They’re perfect for creatives and digital nomads, teachers, office workers, developers and IT professionals, and even for use in warehouses. In fact, Amazon recently purchased our monitors for their warehouse workers”

DUEX Plus has a 13.3 inch display while DUEX Lite has a 12.5 inch display. The latest in a suite of monitors from MobilePixels, DUEX Plus and Lite are the lightest yet. In addition, they both feature a faster operating system, sharper display, and more color options than their predecessors. DUEX Plus and Lite also have a range of new features to further level up a work-from-home setup:

  • Presentation mode: 180° rotation
  • Kickstand mode: Both DUEX models easily attach to a kickstand (sold separately) to create a stable base and stand up on its own
  • Portrait mode: When not attached to the laptop, the screen stands up by itself in portrait orientation without a kickstand
  • Eye-care mode: Blue light emission will be reduced to a more comfortable level

DUEX Plus also has an auto rotation feature: it will auto rotate when users flip the display from left to right or right to left.

The DUEX Plus and DUEX Lite screens are energy efficient and specially designed to reduce battery drain from users’ laptops. The maximum power consumption at full brightness is 4.5 watts, while the display has 1080p resolution, which makes for an extremely crisp and clear display.

“With the pandemic dragging on, it’s clear that working from home is here to stay,” said Yao. “Even if workplaces re-open, it’s fairly certain that flexible working will be the new normal, so our new DUEX models provide an excellent solution for an easy double-monitor setup.”

DUEX Plus and Lite are now available on Kickstarter for the price starting at $194 and $189 USD respectively. Media wishing to interview Mobile Pixels personnel should contact PR agent, Borjana Slipicevic at borjana@properperopaganda.net.

About Mobile Pixels

Mobile Pixels was founded in 2016 to reinvent productivity. Co-founder Jack Yao was working at a co-working space when he decided he needed a secondary monitor. He built a second laptop monitor from a broken laptop – and the MobilePixels DUEX was born.

The Morey Corporation Joins SAE ITC Health-Ready Components & Systems (HRCS) Consortium

News Image

“Morey will help with the HRCS consortium’s aim to accelerate IVHM implementation through the deployment of open standards that promote interoperability and avoid the proliferation of singular proprietary approaches.” Peter Grau, program manager for the HRCS consortium

SAE Industry Technologies Consortia (SAE ITC®) is pleased to welcome The Morey Corporation to the Health Ready Components and Systems (HRCS) consortium. Morey joins members Bell, Garrett Motion, General Motors, Global Strategic Solutions LLC, Nexteer Automotive, SafeRide Technologies, VHM Innovations LLC and Volvo Group Trucks Technology in the HRCS consortium to implement Integrated Vehicle Health Management (IVHM) technologies.

“Enabling communications between fleets, OEM integrators, tier 1s and third parties is critical to maintenance and the advancement of maintaining assets as technology complexity increases,” said Wally Stegall, technical fellow at The Morey Corporation. “An open approach is vital to the Commercial Vehicle Industries at design and mission time, which allows an appropriate flow of information as granted by fleets to all stakeholders and a win-win for Commercial Vehicle. HRCS will be integral not only for end users and suppliers, but for Industry groups to advance mission statements in an ever-changing world.”

Peter Grau, program manager for the HRCS consortium, stated: “We believe that IVHM technology will provide significant improvement in the reliability, safety and performance of vehicles. The application of IVHM concepts has been limited due to a lack of uniform data sharing methods. Morey will help with the HRCS consortium’s aim to accelerate IVHM implementation through the deployment of open standards that promote interoperability and avoid the proliferation of singular proprietary approaches.”

Morey joins the HRCS consortium to employ the best practices and guidance provided in the SAE JA6268™ Surface Vehicle and Aerospace Recommended Practice: Design & Run-Time Information Exchange for Health-Ready Components. Commsignia integrates cloud and V2X messaging in a 5G & 4G V2N solution

Illustration of the V2N, V2I and V2V ecosystem

Illustration of the V2N, V2I and V2V ecosystem

It makes sense to combine direct V2X communication with 4G or 5G networks. The aggregation and verification of different information sources offer a robust and reliable automotive messaging solution

The vehicle-to-network (V2N) solution can be applied to avoid traffic jams and prevent accidents in semi-static situations. A simple and rather common example is when cars congest highway exits and obstruct the outer lane, creating a dangerous situation. One known solution is when the on-board navigation system of stalled vehicles sends status information to the cloud via a 4G or 5G cellular connection. The navigation supplier’s cloud-based traffic information service then informs other vehicles of a possible traffic jam in the area. Such solutions usually only work within the specific supplier’s ecosystem.

Commsignia’s solution can aggregate information from different data sources, including various suppliers’ cloud databases, infrastructure data from roadside sensors and cameras, and sensor data from V2X-enabled vehicles. While cloud-based solutions trigger an early warning about a possible event, a vehicle’s V2X on-board unit sends more precise information in low-latency direct messages to other V2X-enabled vehicles in the area. These vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) messages contain the exact location of the recognized event. Commsignia’s hybrid fusion layer verifies alerts from different sources and provides the driver with aggregated data.

By combining network-based V2N, infrastructure-based V2I and vehicle-based V2V data, Commsignia’s solution offers more precise warnings and opens up the possibility of notifications reaching more drivers, increasing road safety.

“One of the big challenges in digital traffic safety is reaching most drivers, and it makes sense to combine multiple channels such as direct V2X communications and the 4G or 5G cellular networks. The aggregation and verification of different information sources offer a robust and reliable messaging solution, all based on automotive grade V2X standards.” – says Andras Varadi, Research Director at Commsignia.

This solution was developed in the SAFERtec project. SAFERtec has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement no 732319

Refraction AI Raises $4.2 Million to Accelerate Reliable, Affordable, Sustainable Last-Mile Robot Delivery for the Masses

News Image

With new capital, the company plans to expand both the geographic and industry reach of its last-mile delivery as a service offering.

Refraction AI, the robotics startup and creator of the REV-1, a low-cost, lightweight autonomous delivery robot, today announced $4.2 million in new seed funding led by Pillar VC [Pillar VC __title__ https://www.pillar.vc/ . The capital will be used for customer acquisition, geographic expansion and product development.

Founded in July 2019, Refraction AI solves last-mile delivery logistics with a practical, economical and sustainable application of mobile robot technology. Recent market reports* estimate compound annual growth in the last-mile delivery sector over the next 10 years will exceed 14 percent, with the autonomous delivery segment projected to grow at over 24 percent from $11.9 billion in 2021 to more than $84 billion globally by 2031. For many, the COVID-19 pandemic has made home delivery of food, medicine and other necessities directly from retailers and restaurants a necessity. The Refraction REV-1 autonomous delivery robot is the ideal way for restaurants, grocers and other retailers to benefit from these trends reliably, affordably and sustainably.

“Last-mile delivery is the quintessential example of a sector that is ripe for innovation, owing to a powerful confluence of advancing technology, demographics, social values and consumer models. Conventional approaches have left businesses and consumers with few choices in this new environment as they struggle to keep pace with surging demand – burdened by the costs, regulatory, and logistical challenges of a legacy infrastructure,” said Luke Schneider, who took the helm as CEO of Refraction AI in fall 2020. “Our platform uses technology that exists today in an innovative way, to get people the things they need, when they need them, where they live. And we’re doing so in a way that reduces business’ costs, makes roads less congested, and eliminates carbon emissions.”

In addition to Pillar VC, the round was filled out by a syndicate of investors including eLab Ventures, Osage Venture Partners, Trucks Venture Capital, Alumni Ventures Group, Chad Laurans (founder of SimpliSafe), Invest Michigan, and others.

“With a tremendous potential to impact the future of last-mile goods delivery, Refraction AI is incredibly well-positioned because their solution is up and running today,” said Jamie Goldstein, founder and partner of Pillar VC. “We believe Refraction AI will create the de facto standard for this rapidly-expanding category; the combination of technology, momentum and leadership makes the company poised to break down barriers to AV for any business, which in turn increases access to goods for households that need them.”

Since its inception, Refraction AI has deployed the first application of its technology serving restaurants and grocery stores in its Ann Arbor, MI location. With new capital, the company plans to expand both the geographic and industry reach of its last-mile delivery as a service offering.

Refraction AI has recently expanded its office and production space for a growing team. For open job listings and information on partnering, please visit https://refraction.ai/.
