Heilind Electronics Now Stocking Molex Micro-One Wire-to-Board Connector System


The Micro-One connector offers protection against terminal back-outs in high-vibration applications.

The compact system features an integrated independent secondary lock (ISL) that ensures a secure electrical connection and eliminates terminal back-outs, even in high-vibration applications. The receptacle’s ISL can only be engaged if terminals are inserted properly – thereby eliminating the need for an additional contact quality check and providing higher mating retention to prevent accidental back-outs.

Designed to use Molex’s MicroClasp terminals, the Micro-One connector system is rated for up to 4 amps and 250 volts. This versatile solution accommodates wire sizes from 22 to 28 AWG and features a 2.00 mm pitch and low-profile design for reduced size and weight. Micro-One connectors are offered in configurations of two to eight circuits, with headers available in vertical or right-angle layouts.

The Molex Micro-One is ideal for consumer and industrial applications, including HVAC, appliances, factory automation, robotics and drones.

Featuring Mohs 9 hardness which is second only to diamond, these windows can withstand fast moving dirt, sand, and salt water, and can include multi-spectral antireflective coatings to meet salt fog requirements.

Ideally suited for use as protective front surface optics on all types of RPAs, UAVs, and drones, Meller Sapphire Windows can be fabricated with flatness held to 1/10th wave in the visible and less than 2 arc sec. in/in. parallelism. Surface finishes can be held from 60-40 to 40-20 scratch-dig, depending upon configuration.

L-com, a preferred manufacturer of wired and wireless connectivity products, announced today that it has launched a new series of fiber optic fan-out cable assemblies, fiber sub-panels, MPO fiber cassettes and rack-mount MPO fiber chassis to support 5G, big data and growing voice, video and data applications.

As wired and wireless networks continue to grow and the need for increased bandwidth and higher-speeds dominates, fiber infrastructure products are in demand more than ever. To address these burgeoning applications, we have expanded our fiber product offering to include these new fiber infrastructure products.

L-com’s new MTP® fan-out cassettes are ideal for connecting multi-fiber MTP® trunk cables and splitting them out to multiple patch cables. These LGX style fan-out cassettes feature LC or SC ports, multimode and single mode options as well as one or two MTP® connectors. The new MPO to LC, LGX fan-out cassettes and high density 19” rack-mount chassis are offered in OM3, OM4 and OS2 options. The LGX cassettes are available with MPO to 12, 24, 48 or 72 LC connector versions and the 1U rack-mount chassis feature a male MPO connector with pins and 48, 72, 96 or 144 multimode LC fiber ports.

Additional product lines include a wide range of fiber sub-panels which are ideal for use in enclosures, rack panels and DIN-rail boxes. As well as MPO to LC fiber fan-out cables that are available with 12 and 24 count fiber options with OM3, OM4 and OS2 versions and include MPO connectors with or without pins.

World’s Smallest Samsung S21 Ultra Fast Charger

Navitas Semiconductor today announced that Spigen Inc. has extended its range of ‘ArcStation Pro’ GaN-based fast chargers, now including the world’s smallest 45W model for Samsung’s flagship smartphone, the S21 Ultra.

Gallium nitride(GaN) is a next-generation semiconductor technology that runs up to 100x faster than old, slow silicon (Si), and enables up to 3x more power or 3x faster charging in half the size & weight. GaNFast™ power ICs integrate GaN power and drive plus protection and control to deliver the simplest, smallest, fastest and highest performance.

The Samsung S21 Ultra smartphone has a large, 5,000 mAhr battery and uses an advanced version of the universal serial bus (USB) power delivery protocol, called ‘programmable power supply’ (PPS). PPS can monitor the phone’s battery status in finer detail and adjust the delivered power more accurately to ensure the fastest – and safest – charging speed.

Measuring only 47 x 47 x 27 mm (60 cc) including folding pins, the Spigen 45W (model PE2015) is the smallest 45W PPS charger in the world, and ~30% smaller and lighter than Samsung’s own 45W model.

Stalker Radar’s new DSR 2X LCD Display offers superior daytime visibility & nighttime “covert” mode

Better visibility with greater contrast in bright, daylight conditions, as well as dimming down to a nighttime “covert” mode are just some of the features that make the new Stalker Radar DSR 2X LCD Display the new standard for traffic enforcement radar.

No officer retraining is required since the color Liquid Crystal Display presents the same familiar layout and colors of the current 2X LED Display, while more text detail is shown for menu mode settings.

“The 2X LCD Display can be set to one of 6 brightness levels, plus an auto-dimming mode,” according to Steve Hocker, Law Enforcement Product Manager for Stalker Radar. “At its dimmest, the 2X LCD Display isn’t visible outside the patrol vehicle like the older LED-type displays. This covert mode makes it perfect for nighttime enforcement when used inside an unmarked police vehicle.”

“An officer used to operating the DSR 2X will feel right at home with the new LCD Display,” Hocker said. “Strongest, Fastest, and Patrol widows are right where they are in the original LED display. Direction and transmit icons are now located next to their respective front or rear antenna windows, while active antenna icons are logically placed near the fastest windows.”

The 2X LCD Display – which has been tested and approved for the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration’s Conforming Product List – is available on any Stalker DSR 2X new purchase. All accessories – cables, mounts, sunshades, etc. – are compatible with the new display.
