Committed to Gender Parity, Liderança Group Unveils Their Newest Program, Aimed at Women in Technology

Cathy Light, CEO of Liderança Group

“As a Silicon Valley veteran, I’ve sat on both sides of the table, and my goal is to ensure women of every background have access to technical and leadership training that can place them firmly in the driver’s seat of their career.” – Cathy Light, CEO, Committed to Gender Parity, Liderança Group

A new study from the Allen Institute for Artificial Intelligence showcased a troubling statistic: The scales in Computer Science won’t be equal for women for another 100 years. In fact, the study recently put out by Cornell University, “Gender Trends in Computer Science Authorship,” believes that parity between the genders will not be reached in this century, and one global company is hoping to drive meaningful change in how women in Computer Science gain new skills.

From security to data to preparing for what’s next, evolving technologies are critical to the performance and success of a business, but often women are left on the sidelines. Liderança Group is committed to meaningful progress with its newest offering – Women in Tech. With over 3,000 course titles, 100 certification prep and learning paths, and 10,000-plus digital and audiobook summaries, it’s the most comprehensive resource on the market today.

Cathy Light, CEO of Liderança Group expressed her excitement of the program’s launch, saying, “Composers have their Opus, and those in business rarely get to make a lasting impact to pave the way for others; my goal is that our newest program changes the unequal power balance for women in the technology community.” Light continued, “As a Silicon Valley veteran, I’ve sat on both sides of the table, and my goal is to ensure women of every background have access to technical and leadership training that can place them firmly in the driver’s seat of their career.”

Aiming to eliminate the gap and offer women new ways to communicate, gain education and stay ahead of the curve in soft skills- crucial for developing effective leaders and communicators, this first of its kind program is now open for enrollment. Part online resource and part assessment tool, the coursework includes critical areas of high-impact continuous learning for IT professionals of all levels, including:

  • The Women in TECH Program provides learners with the knowledge and skills needed to excel at current and future project deliverables. To maximize the time dedicated to learning, sequenced lessons, and learning tools have been specially-built for busy technology professionals, all on their schedule.
  • The Women in LEADERSHIP Program provides quick, convenient access to learning content that promotes the development of leadership skills and addresses the unique challenges faced by women in business. Curated by industry veterans, content was selected to find the most important areas of development for women leaders across three levels of their career – leading the business, leading your team, and leading yourself. The program is comprised of 30 selected courses that included hundreds of videos, books, book summaries, and other resources for development.

Each module provides an abundance of multi-modal resources to prepare for certification exams, trouble-shoot on demand, or acquire new technical skills, all through a model of continual learning to bring the next century and parity between the genders, closer than ever before.

Accresa partners with Paladina Health to bring scalable direct primary care to employer market

A growing number of employers are choosing innovative healthcare benefit models like direct primary care (DPC) to help reduce costs and improve the patient experience.

Accresa, a Dallas-based healthcare technology provider, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Paladina Health, a nationwide direct primary care provider delivering better health outcomes through a personalized, data-driven approach to primary care. Accresa’s proprietary payments technology will support Paladina Health’s growing footprint and make DPC more widely available and scalable for employer-sponsored health plans.

Employers seeking a solution to mitigate rising healthcare costs and provide their employees access to high quality healthcare through DPC frequently encounter barriers to adoption and expansion with the group health plan market.

“More than 60% of Americans rely on their employer to access and pay for healthcare benefits, but many of the systems that employers use today simply aren’t designed to support these types of emerging healthcare payment models,” said William Short, chief executive officer of Accresa and its parent company, Ameriflex.

The Accresa platform, which capitalizes on the company’s 20-year track record of developing payments technology for employer-sponsored health plans, delivers the administrative interface and payments mechanisms required to bridge the gap between employers and health systems and provider networks like Paladina Health. In addition to managing the complex payment and reconciliation processes between employers, employees, and a diverse clinical network (or networks), the Accresa system allows clinics and networks to easily affiliate with other healthcare providers and customize plan offerings in response to evolving employer needs.

“Partnering with forward-thinking organizations who share our vision of transforming healthcare will accelerate the changes needed to improve health outcomes and decrease medical costs,” said Chris Miller, chief executive officer, Paladina Health. “Accresa offers proprietary technology for employers to administer and grow a robust DPC benefit, and we look forward to working together so that more individuals and their families can experience the positive outcomes of this proven solution.”

“Paladina Health represents everything this model should be,” said Short. “It’s a privilege to put our technology to work to support the expansion of that model to more employers and employees nationwide.”

AI enterprise software startup, Sorcero, expands its leadership team and product expertise

Sorcero team

Sorcero team in DC office

Two experienced executives have joined Sorcero, a startup providing information and workflow management software to regulated enterprises. Aimee Gallagher and Sean Smith bring over forty years of experience to Sorcero’s product and market development teams. Gallagher has been hired as Sorcero’s Chief Product Officer, while Smith was promoted from Sorcero’s VP of Marketing to its Chief Marketing Officer. The additions make clear Sorcero’s commitment to growing a company with solutions that can scale to work with any enterprise.

Gallagher and Smith join a leadership team at Sorcero that includes Walter Bender and Dipanwita Das, founder and CEO of Sorcero. With a background in global development and technology consulting, Das is committed to building a no-code platform that can improve the way information and workflows are handled, distributed, and shared. Using domain-specific Natural Language Processing (NLP) as a foundation, Das and her team ensure that subject matter experts, not just technologists, can set up and deploy solutions to address critical business problems.

Walter Bender, Sorcero’s CTO, is the former director of the MIT Media Lab and Co-Founder of One Laptop Per Child. He is widely regarded as both one of the world’s leading technologists and an innovator in the educational community. By developing Sugar, a free software OS alternative to the Microsoft Windows & Office suite, Bender brought new opportunities to the world’s poorest children. He then went on to spread this ingenious platform through Sugar Labs. He discussed these accomplishments in a Ted Talk, which can be found here.

“The latest two appointments nicely round out our leadership team,” said Das. “One of the biggest concerns with AI solutions is their tendency to not have a quantifiable ROI and failing to scale beyond the pilot. Aimee and Sean will help us ensure that we don’t face that issue with our customers.”

Das called Gallagher a “perfect fit” as Sorcero’s CPO, noting that Gallagher managed and participated in a number of development teams, both local and virtual, in her more than twenty years in the field. Her experience includes working with prominent organizations such as Priceline, through their IPO, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, where she negotiated multi-million dollar contracts and developed new products and businesses.

As Sorcero’s new CMO, Smith brings more than twenty years of experience working with enterprises. “Sean has been with Sorcero almost from the beginning,” Das said. “He’s a seasoned marketing and Business Development professional, a brilliant product strategist, and, over the past year and a half, has demonstrated a remarkable ability to roll up his sleeves and get the job done.”

Over the past twenty years, Smith has served in a number of different marketing and BD leadership roles in the fields of enterprise software and information services. His former employers include InfoDesk, Quosa, Elsevier Business Intelligence, and the Thompson Publishing Group. While working full-time, he earned an MS in marketing from the Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business and an MS in journalism from Georgetown University.

Sorcero’s solutions let experts better manage the information they know best within enterprises, and the start-up is following that same principle with these hires: investing in a future guided by expertise.

About Sorcero

Sorcero’s Enterprise NLP suite provides prebuilt, configurable Natural Language Processing solutions to deliver scalable, automated advanced knowledge bases, decision support, and compliance for Life Sciences and Insurance. Built by senior MIT research scientists and informed by decades of experience in digital transformation, Sorcero’s platform provides cutting-edge capabilities to enhance the value chain across regulated and technical industries.

What Factors Can Help High-Risk Drivers Find The Best Non-Standard Car Insurance Company?

News Image

“To find the right non-standard insurance provider, high-risk drivers should analyze several aspects like the number of complaints and the financial strength of the insurer”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Compare-autoinsurance.org has launched a new blog post that explains how high-risk drivers can find their best non-standard car insurance company.

For more info and free car insurance quotes online, visit https://compare-autoinsurance.org/how-to-find-the-best-non-standard-car-insurance-company-for-high-risk-drivers/

Finding a car insurance company that accepts high-risk drivers can be a challenge. Most large insurance providers do not offer coverage for high-risk drivers, so most of them are forced to search for insurance at smaller specialized carriers. Not all persons that are labeled as high-risk are bad drivers. Drivers with traffic tickets, at-fault accidents or DUI convictions, new drivers, seniors, drivers with poor credit score, or drivers with long coverage lapses are considered to be high-risk by the insurers.

Drivers that are looking for an insurer that accepts high-risk drivers should analyze these factors:

  • Complaints. An important factor that every high-risk driver should consider before purchasing car insurance from an insurer is the number of complaints that the insurer has. Drivers can check how many complaints a non-standard carrier has by going to the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) site. There they can find the NAIC complaint ratio that is based on the number of complaints filed against an insurance company with state regulators, adjusted for market share. Insurance companies that have a high number of complaints are likely to be providers that have had many unsatisfied customers relative to the value of premiums they had written during the year. Usually, policyholders complained about the low value of the settlements, claim denials, or delays in the claims processing.
  • Financial strength. High-risk drivers should carefully analyze multiple non-standard carriers and pick one that is reliable and financially strong. These types of non-standard insurers have no problems when it comes to paying the claims made by their customers. Drivers can visit A.M. Best site to see which insurer is financially strong. An insurer that is rated A or better by A.M. Best is a safe bet. Independent agencies like Moody’s, Fitch, or Standard & Poor’s can also help high-risk drivers to see which insurer is financially strong.

Drivers With A Tight Budget Should Use Car Insurance Quotes Online

News Image

“Drivers with limited insurance budget should compare online insurance quotes. By doing so, drivers can find affordable coverage that can satisfy their needs”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Compare-autoinsurance.org has launched a new blog post that explains how car owners with a limited insurance budget can obtain cheaper car insurance.

Find out more and get free car insurance quotes online: https://compare-autoinsurance.org/why-use-car-insurance-quotes-if-you-have-a-tight-budget/

Many drivers can’t imagine their lives without driving their cars every single day. But to do that, they need car insurance. In some cases, car insurance can be expensive and drivers can’t afford it anymore. Fortunately, there are some ways to lower the price of car insurance.

To keep the insurance price under control or even lower it, drivers should follow the next tips:

  • Determine the available budget. Before purchasing any coverage, car owners should check how much they can spend on insurance. Besides purchasing the minimum required insurance by the state’s insurance laws, drivers can decide to purchase additional coverage.
  • Purchase only the services that are necessary. Many drivers will be tempted to add as many services as possible to their insurance policy. But doing so, it can be very expensive. Car owners should acquire only two, three useful services like roadside assistance or accident forgiveness.
  • Modify the deductibles. To lower the costs of car insurance, drivers can increase their deductibles levels to the max. However, this strategy can backfire If a driver has to make a claim and he can’t pay the deductibles. For this reason, drivers are recommended to create an emergency fund where they gather the necessary money to pay for the deductibles in case they will ever need to file a claim.
  • Compare online quotes. Online questionnaires will allow car owners to simulate different insurance plans based on their available budget.
  • Check for additional discounts. Drivers should check with their insurance companies if there are additional discounts that weren’t mentioned in the online forms. If additional discounts exist, drivers should also check how they become eligible to obtain them.
