The Most Common Reasons Why Drivers Have Their Car Insurance Claims Rejected

News Image

“There are many reasons why car insurance companies are rejecting to pay a claim. Drivers convicted for DUI and drivers that are driving with suspended licenses can have their claims denied ”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Compare-autoinsurance.org has launched a new blog post that explains when drivers can have their claims rejected by their car insurance companies.

For more info and free online quotes, please visit https://compare-autoinsurance.org/car-insurance-claim-can-rejected/

In most states of the US, drivers need to purchase car insurance in order to legally drive on the roads. The only exception is New Hampshire. In case of a car accident or of another covered event, the policyholders will get reimbursed after filing a claim. However, in some situations, the claims can be rejected. The most common reason why claims are rejected are the following:

  • Not informing the insurance company about the incident in a reasonable period. Policyholders that fail to inform their insurers, or inform them too late, can end up having their claims rejected. Most insurers will specify in the policy contract about the timeframe in which the policyholders are allowed to report an event.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol or forbidden substances. A DUI/DWI is a serious felony in all states and car insurance companies have some harsh penalties for drivers that are convicted for this kind of traffic violations. Typically, insurers will refuse to pay the claims of drivers that are convicted for driving while under influence. Also, some insurance companies will drop their customers that got convicted for DUI.
  • Getting involved in an accident while the covered vehicle is used for different purposes than the ones stated in the contract. Drivers that are using their personal vehicles to deliver commercial goods, conduct business, or for ridesharing purposes without having commercial insurance or ridesharing insurance can have their claims denied if they are involved in a car accident.
  • Driving while the license is expired. Drivers that are driving while the license is expired or suspended, will have their claims rejected by their insurers if they are involved in a car accident.

The Most Important Things Drivers Should Know About Car Insurance Quotes

News Image

“Car insurance quotes can help drivers save time and money. Furthermore, the best way to get them is by visiting a brokerage website”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Compare-autoinsurance.org has launched a new blog post that presents some important information drivers should know about car insurance quotes.

For more info and free car insurance quotes, visit https://compare-autoinsurance.org/what-you-should-know-about-car-insurance-quotes

Before buying a car insurance policy, drivers are recommended to obtain car insurance quotes. Car insurance quotes are very useful for drivers that want to save time and money. Comparing quotes can help drivers find better car insurance deals.

Drivers that want to obtain quotes should know the following about them:

  • Scanning the market for quotes is crucial. Before buying a policy, drivers should research the market and look for better prices. This can be easily done with the help of car insurance quotes. Drivers should not pay extra for a policy if that policy can be bought somewhere else and at a better price.
  • Car insurance quotes are only price estimates. Car insurance quotes present hypothetical prices for any policy selected by the drivers. The final price of the car insurance policy will be decided after negotiating with the car insurance company agent. Nonetheless, car insurance quotes can help the driver check the car insurance market and see if they have enough funds to get a new policy.
  • Quotes can be obtained from various sources. Insurance quotes can be obtained from car insurance agents or from different websites. However, obtaining quotes online is faster and more effective. Drivers can save time by not having to get quotes by going from one insurance agency to another. It is enough to look for car insurance quotes on a search engine in order to get a list of car insurance companies and brokerage websites that are providing online car insurance quotes for free.

Amica Insurance, MADD team up for Power of You(th)© program

“As an insurance company, Amica is committed to making the nation’s roadways safer,” said Nicole Fleming, Corporate Social Responsibility and Events Manager at Amica. “That includes providing young people with the resources to make smart and healthy choices.”

Amica Insurance is proud to partner with Mothers Against Drunk Driving ® (MADD) throughout 2021 by supporting the organization’s Power of You(th)© program, an ongoing effort to protect youth and make a safer future for tomorrow’s drivers.

MADD’s Power of You(th) program features interactive presentations delivered by certified facilitators to help youth explore the real, short- and long-term impacts of drinking underage, including how it can damage brain development, and the long-lasting social consequences. MADD also offers tools directly to teens to encourage them to use their power to keep themselves and their friends safe.

“As an insurance company, Amica is committed to making the nation’s roadways safer,” said Nicole Fleming, Corporate Social Responsibility and Events Manager at Amica. “That includes providing young people with the resources to make smart and healthy choices.”

More specifically, this time of year presents multiple milestones for teens and young adults under 21 – like prom, graduation and the start of summer break – that may bring an increased presence of alcohol and other drugs. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), underage drinking is responsible for more than 4,300 deaths each year, and it can lead to early addiction and other dangerous outcomes. Additionally, marijuana is the leading cause of substance dependence other than alcohol in the U.S.

Given that April is Alcohol Awareness Month and May is National Youth Traffic Safety Month, we’re sharing tips to help keep teens out of harm’s way while they’re behind the wheel:

  • Give your child plenty of driving practice. Be sure to drive on different roads, at different times of the day and with different weather conditions.
  • Warn your child of the dangers of drinking and driving, texting while driving and other distracted-driving behaviors.
  • Make sure your child knows the dangers of driving with other teens, and allow only one passenger in the car at a time. Even if your child isn’t the one behaving irresponsibly, other passengers in the car could be.
  • Insist on the use of seat belts. Many driving-related deaths occur because teens and their friends don’t buckle up.
  • Instruct your child to obey traffic laws and stay within the posted speed limits.
  • Discuss the dangers of poor road conditions, such as water, ice, debris and potholes.
  • Print an accident checklist to keep in your child’s car so they’ll know what to do if an accident happens.

Top Reasons Why Drivers Are Recommended to Compare Car Insurance Costs Just Before the Renewal Date

News Image

“Drivers should not let their policies be automatically renewed without comparing prices. Comparing multiple quotes just before the renewal date can help drivers save considerable amounts of money”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Compare-autoinsurance.org has launched a new blog post that explains how drivers can save money if they obtain car insurance quotes before the renewal date.

For more info and free car insurance quotes online, visit https://compare-autoinsurance.org/why-compare-insurance-costs-before-renewal/

Policyholders who let their car insurance coverage to be automatically renewed are probably making a big mistake. Drivers should research the insurance market and look for better deals before renewal time arrives. Usually, insurance companies are sending renewal information with 30-45 days before the renewal date. This period is enough for policyholders to analyze the insurance prices and to decide if they should remain with the current provider or they should look for another one.

Before making any major decision, drivers should consider the following:

  • Drivers should check if all the info about them is updated. The new insurance rates should consider the recent major changes in the lives of the policyholders. Many of these changes can have a significant impact on insurance premiums. Events, like getting married, or getting a better job, can lower the costs of car insurance. If the insurer is not aware of these events, drivers should contact them and ask for updated insurance rates.
  • Consider looking for another provider. If all info is correct, but the premiums have risen, then the policyholder is the victim of price optimization. This strategy is used by insurance providers on clients who are deemed to be less likely to look for better insurance deals on the insurance market. In this case, drivers should consider switching their carriers and look for better car insurance deals.
  • Shop around for better car insurance deals. Comparing online car insurance quotes can help drivers find better car insurance deals. Brokerage websites will allow drivers to discover insurance offers made by multiple insurance providers that sell policies in their areas. Drivers who got the insurance policy they wanted can request the help of an insurance agent to further customize that policy and save more money on insurance.
  • Check the discounts. Drivers who are considering switching their insurers should check the discounts provided by the current carrier. Bundling discounts can be really rewarding and drivers who combine the homeowner’s insurance with car insurance can save as much as 20%.

NAIFA Expands Its Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) Product Line

The addition of the online LILI program will allow more NAIFA members to participate and graduate from the LILI program, but also fits nicely into the NAIFA 2025 Strategic Plan’s aim to be more inclusive.

The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) is proud to announce the general availability of its online version of the Leadership in Life Institute (LILI) program. The online version of LILI is a new extension of the product line that allows for participants to undertake the six-month program without the need to travel.

“We celebrated LILI’s twentieth anniversary in 2020—right in the middle of COVID,” explains Brad Tapscott, CFP, ChFC, CRPC, NAIFA’s LILI Committee Chair. “LILI has traditionally been delivered in a small group setting that would meet in-person monthly for six months. COVID put a stop to all LILI classes due to the in-person requirement. When we realized that travel was not going to be possible for the immediate future, the LILI Committee got to work on creating a new online version that could be delivered with the same impact and intensity.”

The small cohort group will remain as a cornerstone of the instructional design plan, but now, members may participate from anywhere in the United States, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

“The addition of the online LILI program will allow more NAIFA members to participate and graduate from the LILI program, but also fits nicely into the NAIFA 2025 Strategic Plan’s aim to be more inclusive. Taking away the geographic boundaries will especially benefit members that are in large-land states where a traditional in-person class would not have been feasible,” stated Kevin Mayeux, CEO of NAIFA. “This new addition to our professional development portfolio is just another example of NAIFA’s ability to innovate in a rapidly changing marketplace to continue to deliver real value to its members.”

The first online LILI class will be held beginning in May 2021. Each month a new cohort group will kick off its six-month program. All LILI graduates are included in an exclusive LILI Alumni Networking group and meet together during NAIFA’s annual professional development conference, Performance+Purpose.
