Why UBI Programs Are Becoming Popular

News Image

“Usage-based insurance programs will allow drivers to quickly gain large discounts. Besides that, drivers will be encouraged to adopt safer driving habits in order to obtain those discounts”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Compare-autoinsurance.org has launched a new guide that explains how usage-based insurance programs can help drivers obtain cheaper car insurance.

Usage-based insurance, or UBI for short, is one of the most recent forms of insurance introduced in the car insurance industry. Policyholders can lower the costs of their insurance if they allow their insurers to install a small telematics device in their vehicles. This device will record driving habits and send them back to the insurance company.

Policyholders that enroll in a usage-based insurance program will gain the following advantages:

  • Drivers can obtain fast discounts. Usually, insurers need to analyze years of driving history before offering a discount. But with the help of UBI programs, the good driver discount can be obtained much faster. The telematics device that analyzes driving habits is typically installed for just 30 days. This period is enough for most insurers to decide if they offer a good driver discount or not.
  • Get a low-mileage discount. One of the factors monitored by the telematics device is the number of miles covered by the policyholder in a certain period. If a policyholder drives fewer miles than a certain limit, he is eligible for a low-mileage discount.
  • It encourages safer driving habits. The telematics closely monitors the driving habits and the policyholders know that. In order to not be penalized, drivers will adopt better and safer driving habits.
  • UBI programs help authorities investigate accidents. The telematics devices constantly record all sorts of data about the vehicle. Data like speed, traveling direction, airbag deployment and hard braking can help authorities find out what happened in a car accident.
  • Significant discounts for teen drivers. It is known that teen drivers pay high premiums on their insurance. One of the methods that can help them pay less on car insurance is to enroll in a UBI program. Teen drivers that have good driving habits will be rewarded with substantial discounts.

Reputation Risk Management and Insurance Firm Steel City Re Expands Capabilities With Addition of Australian and Swiss Company Data

“Rapidly evolving environmental, social, and governance expectations have materially increased companies’ risk of serious consequences when stakeholders feel disappointed and angry.”

Steel City Re, an innovator in corporate reputation risk management and insurances, has added Australian and Swiss firms to its actuarial database. The 341 Australian firms and 162 Swiss firms boost the weekly global reputation risk surveillance to approximately 7,800 entities. The expanded database will not only enable Steel City Re to underwrite and insure companies in the new markets, but to enhance its capabilities across its portfolio.

“Rapidly evolving environmental, social, and governance expectations have materially increased companies’ risk of serious consequences when stakeholders feel disappointed and angry,” noted Steel City Re CEO Nir Kossovsky. “Our solutions help firms and their leadership avoid that scenario through assessment, underwriting and support for enterprise-wide reputation risk management activities – functions that are becoming increasingly challenging as companies need to satisfy diverse and expanding groups of stakeholders.

Steel City Re released last week a study (https://steelcityre.com/2020/01/29/white-paper-equity-impact/) showing how the severe impacts to stock price can be diminished – during and after a reputational crisis – through strategic preemptive steps that can be taken by governance, finance and risk management executives. Among the relevant findings were that the greater the percentage of intangible assets on companies’ balance sheets, the steeper the declines in stock price when crises occur.

The new Australian firms have an average market capitalization of 4,400 of which 73% is intangible. The new Swiss firms have an average market capitalization of 18,000 of which 62% is intangible.

Steel City Re employs principles of informational and behavioral economics to provide reputation risk management and insurance solutions. It pioneered the field of parametric reputation insurances using synthetic measures of reputational value. Steel City Re is an overseas advisor to the Lloyd’s of London syndicate, Tokio Marine Kiln.

Top Reasons For Having Car Insurance Claims Denied

News Image

“Missing payments, fronting or using a personal vehicle for business are solid grounds for having a claim rejected. But they are not the only reasons,” said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Car insurance claims are denied for not respecting the terms of the contract or lying to the insurer. Having a claim denied means that the policyholder will pay everything from his own finances. Find out more about the top reasons for a claim denial and get free quotes from http://compare-autoinsurance.org

An insurance company may choose to deny a claim for the following reasons:

  •     Policy limits. Drivers should always be aware of coverage limits. The company will not reimburse any damage beyond the coverage limits. They will pay the maximum limits and the difference will have to be paid by the policyholder. Those limits are selected when a car insurance was purchased.
  •     The vehicle was driven by an undocumented driver. All drivers must be declared in the contract. Any other person that drives the car and is involved in an accident will not be covered. The most common scenario is when the policyholder lets a friend or relative use the car and he gets involved in an accident. Insurance companies will reject ulterior claims.
  •     Missing premium payments. If the policyholder no longer pays the premiums he is no longer covered and his claim will be rejected. Furthermore, not paying the premiums may determine the insurer to cancel coverage and cause an insurance lapse. Insurance companies consider drivers with recent lapses “high-risk”.
  •     Unapproved customization. The client can void the entire coverage if he installs different parts and devices without informing the insurer and getting its approval. Customizing the engine and fuel systems are likely to make the insurer drop the client if they are done without the company’s consent. Talk with the insurance company before adding customized parts. Many companies even offer customized-equipment coverage.
  •     Claims for coverage that was not purchased. Each policy covers only specific events. For example, collision coverage will not cover damage caused by fire or earthquakes. Carefully read the terms of the contract and ask representatives about all covered scenarios.
  •     The personal vehicle used for business Most vehicles are insured for private use, which includes using it to get to and from work on a daily basis. If the policyholder will be using the vehicle during the day to perform your work duties, this will have to be disclosed. Otherwise, if the car is involved in an accident while performing work duties, ulterior claims will be rejected.

The Residential Assisted Living National Association is partnering with Redirect Health to provide an affordable alternative to traditional health care

Membership with Redirect Health saves time and money with the convenience of referral and care navigation through a 24/7 concierge service, getting patients to the right physicians faster.

Direct Primary Care – The healthcare industry in the U.S. has become a bloated behemoth, with Americans paying more money each year while receiving less care. A recent analysis from federal government records indicates that American healthcare cost in 2018 was $3.65 trillion. For a little perspective, that is greater than the entire GDP of Canada and Brazil combined.

Healthcare costs are still on the rise and patients are becoming even more disillusioned with long wait times, additional costs, and more red tape. For most people, the current healthcare system in the U.S. just isn’t working, and both consumers and care providers are taking notice. Healthcare trends are shifting and the focus is moving toward better consumer-influenced solutions for health.

The sensible answer to this problem is direct primary care. By taking out insurance company middlemen and creating the clearest path between patient and physician, this is primary care with one goal…to keep patients healthy.

The Residential Assisted Living National Association is partnering with Redirect Health to provide an affordable alternative to traditional health care, making it easier for patients to access the care they need and reducing the hassle encountered with most healthcare plans.

Membership with Redirect Health saves time and money with the convenience of referral and care navigation through a 24/7 concierge service, getting patients to the right physicians faster. No network required.

Redirect Health employs telemedicine, direct referrals, care planning, and prescription support all without deductibles and copays, eliminating costly waste and bringing down out-of-pocket expenses.

Redirect Health is also available for employers, with savings of 30% to 60% in monthly premiums compared to traditional health insurance plans. Providing better healthcare options insurers that employers can recruit more experienced and stable employees than their competitors. This is healthcare that is committed to helping members live their best life. This is the future of medicine. https://www.ralna.org/2020/01/affordable-personal-business-healthcare-made-easy/
