Insurance Experts Present The Best Ways To Save Money On Car Insurance

News Image

“Car insurance does not have to cost a fortune. Check our website for more info and free quotes”, said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Car insurance is required by law across the United States. Without meeting the state’s minimum requirements, a driver cannot legally drive. Some people may consider car insurance too expensive (and, in fact, it really expensive for some categories of drivers) and decide to drop coverage. This is a huge mistake, which can have really unpleasant consequences. The alternative is to make premiums cheaper. Check the next 6 ways to reduce insurance costs:

  • Maintain a clean driving record. Although this may seem obvious, being a safe driver is the best way to keep premiums under control. Furthermore, being a safe driver and staying with the same driver for a number of consecutive years will grant driver access to some discounts and bonuses. Avoid traffic violations, like speeding, ignoring signs and a red light or DUI/DWI. Accumulating too many traffic violations may determine the insurer to cancel current and future bonuses.
  • Be honest when declaring the main driver. Some people lie when applying for car insurance and assign a more experienced person as the main driver. This is called “fronting” and it is considered a fraud. If this is discovered (usually after a claim), the insurance company will decline the claim and will begin a thorough investigation. The fraud will be recorded and any insurance company will know who they are dealing with.
  • Do not borrow the car to inexperienced drivers. Even if his relatives or friends ask it, if they are horrible drivers, the policyholder should respectfully decline. If those persons commit or get involved in an accident, the insurer will investigate the case and the policyholder will be held responsible.
  • Pay the premiums in advance. Paying-in-full is a smart way to reduce insurance costs. As advertised by many online forms, paying everything in advance can save the policyholder as much as 15%.
  • Enroll and graduate defensive driving courses. Insurance companies appreciate and reward safe drivers. People who voluntarily enrolled in defensive driving coursed and graduated them will get a discount. Furthermore, graduating courses will help drivers keep premiums low, by offsetting some future license points.
  • Avoid filing claims for minor accidents. It is not recommended to bother the insurer for just a few scratches or dents which can be easily repaired and will cost little. Compare the repair costs with the existing deductibles.
  • Maintain a good credit score or improve it. When filling online questionnaires, one of the most common questions is related to credit score standing. Naturally, people with Excellent status will get better prices. Improving the credit score is possible, but requires financial counseling from experts. Some strategies may imply using balance transfer credit cards or short term loans
  • Use online car insurance quotes. Online quotes will help drivers compare rates with multiple insurance providers. They will also help drivers customize coverage options and create a coverage plan suitable for the driver’s needs and financial possibilities.

Experts Explain Why The Credit Score Influences Car Insurance Rates

News Image

“Credit score has become a very important rating for many insurance providers. Improving or keeping the score at Good to Excellent values will only help you save money on auto insurance and provides more benefits to other financial activities” said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director

Compare-autoinsurance.org has released a new blog spot that highlights the importance of credit score in determining auto insurance premiums.

For more info and free car insurance quotes online, visit http://compare-autoinsurance.org/credit-score-and-insurance-rates/

Amongst the many factors used to create a risk profile for their customers, insurance companies take into consideration credit score. This factor tells the companies how likely you are to pay your premiums. Since it is a risk-based business, the ability to repay your debts becomes critical.

  •     There are few states where legislation forces insurance companies not to take into consideration credit score when rating a potential customer. In California, Massachusetts, and Hawaii using credit score as a rating factor is illegal. Otherwise, it will impact costs. To find out more about how car insurance rates are determined, you can visit http://compare-autoinsurance.org.
  •     Naturally, drivers will poor FICO score will have to pay more for car insurance, in order for the companies to compensate for the increased risk. Also, many companies claim that there is a correlation between credit score and the chances of making a claim. According to them, people with a poor credit score are not that capable of handling finances and are more likely to ask for reimbursement when accidents happen. They will even ask money for a minor accident which would otherwise be paid from personal finances by responsible persons.
  •     Drivers with a poor score, 524 or below, will pay twice or more for car insurance when compared with a driver of similar profile, but with an excellent credit score. Credit score can be improved over time, with each improved tier saving on average 17% on annual premiums.
  •     Improving the credit score from poor to good, can save 32% on insurance premiums. Improving the credit score from good to excellent can save an additional 27% on car insurance rate.

Utilant ensures loss control surveys continue during the COVID-19 crisis

Utilant's Loss Control 360 Self-Survey

We are pivoting our organization to meet both the long-term and immediate needs of loss control vendors and carriers, said Pat Davis, CEO at Utilant.

Utilant, the Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance industry’s premier loss control survey management SaaS platform, is ensuring loss control surveys continue during the COVID-19 crisis.

Effective immediately, customers and prospects can get access to Utilant’s Loss Control 360 (LC360) Self-Survey Module with module deployment and configuration fees waived through May 31, 2020, and companies only paying for survey transactions that are successfully completed by the insured/agent inside of LC360. This allows loss control professionals to continue to do business at a time when direct interaction and onsite visits may not be possible.

“We are pivoting our organization to meet both the long-term and immediate needs of loss control vendors and carriers,” said Pat Davis, CEO at Utilant. “The current situation in NY, PA, CA, WA, and other states has effectively made completing loss control visits impossible. We need to bridge that gap to keep our customers’ businesses moving during these times and will do everything in our power to make sure we are there to help them through this.”

Utilant has realigned nearly all internal product and development resources to immediately bring this offering to market, realizing that face-to-face visits will become increasingly more difficult over the coming months.

About Loss Control 360 Self-Survey:

Self-Survey enables you to continue to gather vital information about the risks you cover by means of a step-by-step workflow that guides the insured or agent to complete their own survey, upload photos, upload documents, and fill out form data.

Users can perform the entire self-survey from their mobile device without installing an app, which is ideal for this simple, one-time process.

LC360’s Self-Survey module has been under development since late Summer 2019 and went live in February 2020.

With varying state, national, and international restrictions because of COVID-19, Utilant is equipping loss control professionals with the ability to obtain information needed to continue surveying risks even if there is no ability to travel to the risk (or access is restricted to the exterior).

Along with Self-Survey, Utilant is unveiling a new product, Guide Stream 360, to further enable the self-service and virtual inspection market by equipping the risk control teams at our carriers and vendors. Guide Stream 360 will be available with integration into Loss Control 360 by early May 2020.

About Guide Stream 360:

Guide Stream 360 enables our customer’s loss control professionals to mentor the policyholder or agent through the process of gathering onsite information about the risks that will be covered.

Guide Stream 360 creates a real-time video session between the two parties. The loss control professional can see everything the policyholder sees as well as direct them to get a more detailed look at any risk where additional information is needed.

GPS data and still photos are gathered throughout the session and simultaneously annotated by the mentoring consultant. The recorded Guide Steam 360 video is maintained for posterity and further analysis.

Guide Stream 360 is fully integrated with Loss Control 360 and does not require the installation of an app on the mobile device.

Pairing LC360’s Self-Survey and Guide Stream 360 offerings with additional virtual survey information available through the tools available in LC360 will enable carriers and vendors to conduct their workflow in a modified but effective way.

“As we manage through this unprecedented global situation together, Utilant remains firmly committed to enabling insurers to continue underwriting P&C risks at a time when physical visits are not possible,” said Michael Cichowski of Aquiline Technology Growth and member of Utilant‘s Board of Directors.

Utilizing these virtual survey tools is highly encouraged during the coming months to both enable business to be conducted as usual and keep workloads manageable when social distancing begins to subside as the insurance industry ramps production back up once this initial period has passed.

About Utilant and Loss Control 360

Utilant’s Loss Control 360 is the best-in-class loss control survey management Platform for P&C insurance and survey/risk engineering companies, establishing its position as the hub for connecting insurance carrier core systems, vendor survey firms, and InsurTechs to comprehensively transform the global insurance industry workflow. The solution supports Commercial, Personal, and Specialty lines, and is deployed via a SaaS model. Utilant’s Loss Control 360 platform is used by leading Insurers and top vendor survey companies around the world. The Loss Control 360 platform automates the survey and service processes for carriers. It scores risks for an efficient underwriting process across all lines of commercial and residential business. A typical implementation provides positive ROI within the first year. For more information, visit http://www.losscontrol360.com.

Twin Cities Title Company, Legacy Title Provides Drive Thru Service During Covid-19 Pandemic

News Image

“The drive thru ensures we are adhering to social distancing”

Legacy Title, a full-service Title Insurance and Real Estate Closing Company announced today it is offering a safe and unconventional way to close real estate transactions during the Corona Virus Outbreak.

On the heels of Governor Tim Walz ordering Minnesotans to stay at home until April 10, except for essential duties, the advent of a drive thru service at Legacy Title’s Blaine location at 12301 Central Ave NE, is being met with open arms and even accolades from competitors.

Connie Clancy, President of Legacy Title said the idea came out of necessity.

“We recognized immediately that this situation would cause a shift in the traditional way of doing closings and began implementing changes right away,” said Clancy. “We started with separating parties into different closing rooms, offering curbside service and then saw the opportunity to offer the drive-thru option and acted quickly to make it happen for our customers.”

Since commencing this innovative service customers have sung its praises. “They are relieved and appreciate the ability to close safely from their car,” said Carmen Jorgensen, Executive Closer.

“We began offering Drive-Thru service March 23. We have had several closings in this drive-thru already and have it booked for the next several days,” said Carmen. “Its really catching on.”

Clancy said that the industry is in the midst of its strongest March ever with the recent drop in interest rates. Clients who are purchasing or re-financing a home depend on the ability to close on a transaction while the rates remain favorable. Many of these pending refinances will allow consumers to potentially save hundreds of dollars per month in mortgage payments which is very valuable-especially now.

“All of our 12 locations have Curbside Closing services available, but this drive thru concept is unique,” she said. “We are taking many precautions to ensure we are always keeping a safe distance and using best practices to ensure everyone remains healthy and safe.”

Jorgensen, who oversees the drive thru closings says that clients appreciate the drive thru option.

“Some of our clients need to have their children with because school is closed. Doing this in the drive thru ensures we are adhering to the social distancing orders all of us have been given,” said Jorgensen. “A few clients told us they were considering canceling their closing for safety reasons until they found out about this convenient option.”

While closings are usually very intimate gatherings with all parties present at a table, this new and necessary concept allows for the transaction to be completed without putting clients and Legacy Title employees in harm’s way.

“Is this the new normal? Probably not. But it is the right thing to do right now,” said Clancy. “Closings are usually celebrations. But even in difficult situations, essential business like this must happen. Whether someone is buying, selling or refinancing we recognize the importance of their investment and want to continue to make this experience as positive as possible for all involved.”

Clancy recognizes in this state of change that teamwork and collaboration are critical. ”I am so grateful to work with such a wonderful group of people at Legacy Title and within an industry that really supports working together to put the consumer first and do what’s best and safest for them.”

Major Car Insurance Claim Mistakes That Must Be Avoided

News Image

“Handling a car accident must be done with utmost care. Contact the authorities, take pictures and gather relevant info. And avoid doing the mistakes mentioned in the blog post.” said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company

Carinsuranceplan.org has released a new blog post that explains what major mistakes can be done during the car insurance claim process.

For more info and free car insurance quotes, visit http://carinsuranceplan.org/major-car-insurance-claim-mistakes/.

Policyholders who expect a smooth and easy claim process should be prepared with solid proofs that back their claims and avoid making foolish mistakes.

  • Admitting guilt is one of those mistakes that could invalidate ulterior claims. Guilt must be determined by the authorities. Admitting guilt in front of the other driver invalidates ulterior claims. Plus, the insurance company will no longer be able to provide legal defense. Drivers should let the experts decide who is guilty. Some drivers may think they are guilty, but in fact, the other driver was speeding, or crossed the wrong lane or took a wrong turn. Criminalists will be the ones to analyze the circumstances of the accident.
  • Failing to gather proofs is another costly mistake. Drivers should take photos immediately after the accident. This not only will back the driver’s financial claims but will also help the police determine the circumstances of the accident and who is guilty. Take clear photos of the cars, the surrounding area and road conditions.

The blog post presents other costly mistakes and how to avoid them. Being involved in an accident can be a traumatizing experience. A driver should keep his calm and gather sufficient evidence to support his claims.

What Factors Should Be Analyzed Before Renewing Car Insurance

News Image

“Before renewing, spend some time analyzing what has changed since the last renewal and if you will pay more or less.” said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Renewing car insurance is important for any policyholder. The alternative is to switch the carrier at the right time. Otherwise, having a coverage lapse will make drivers pay more expensive premiums. Before making any change, make sure to get car insurance quotes and compare prices. Use https://compare-autoinsurance.org to get free car insurance quotes online.

There are a few things to analyze before renewing the contract:

  • Available budget. Check if the rates have increased and they are now more expensive than you can afford. If the income is the same, but the rates are higher, you should give the insurance company a call and seek ways to negotiate and an explanation of the higher premiums.
  • Look for major changes. Some major lifestyle and age changes will deeply impact the insurance premiums. Some of them can even improve the rates. Top influential changes include moving to a new neighborhood, getting married, driving less to work.
  • Traffic violations. Recent violations will surely increase the insurance costs. The company will conduct its own research before renewing and will surely find out about the wrongdoings.
  • Car modifications. If you added new parts to the car, check how the customization will impact the insurance cost. Some devices will make the car cheaper to insure, while others (usually performance boosters) will have a negative effect.

A New Guide Explains Why Someone’s Job Is a Top Influential Factor for Car Insurance Rates

News Image

“The job you have will tell the insurance provider whether you are more or less exposed to traffic accidents. It also tells them how likely you are to pay the premiums” said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Car insurance companies want to assess a really accurate profile for every individual. After analyzing each factor, the risk profile will be determined and they will ask a certain amount of money as premiums. Amongst the influential factors, a person’s job will be relevant. Find out why and get free online car insurance quotes from https://compare-autoinsurance.org/.

There are several reasons why the job is important:

  • Distance from home. Companies will want to know where you work and how long does it take to get there from home. A longer time will mean that the client is more exposed to traffic incidents. And the premiums will increase. Also, the companies will ask if the client goes daily to work or not.
  • The nature of the job. There are several factors directly involved. The first of them is related to the complexity and stress level of the job. Driving back home while still stressed can influence driving focus. Also, the company will ask if the client carries expensive equipment while heading to the workplace.
  • Income and stability. This factor tells the insurer whether a client will have sufficient money, for a prolonged period of time, to pay the premiums.

Auto Guide 2020 – What Factors Influence Car Insurance Costs?

News Image

“Insurance companies will try to create a complete risk profile before issuing any policy. That takes some time since many factors are accounted for. Check which factors influence rates the most” said Russell Rabichev, Marketing Director of Internet Marketing Company.

Compare-autoinsurance.org has released a new blog post where it presents the top influential factors for car insurance and ways to lower the premiums.

For more info and free car insurance quotes online, check https://compare-autoinsurance.org/factors-that-influence-the-insurance-costs/

Car insurance premiums are calculated after analyzing multiple factors. Each company has a specific algorithm for determining the costs. Use car insurance quotes online provided by http://compare-autoinsurance.org to view how quotes are calculated. There are a multitude of factors to analyze, but they usually fall into several categories:

  •     Demographic factors. Insurance companies use statistics for various social groups and geographical locations. This is why a potential customer is asked about age, gender, marital status, job and address. The area where a client lives is very important for companies. They will check criminality rates, especially for vandalism and car theft.
  •     Driving experience. Companies will ask to provide info about the driving experience, driving education and driving records. A person with a clean driving record will be considered safe and will pay less. Graduating defensive driving programs will also help to get a series of discounts.
  •     Car model and its features. Each car model is analyzed before issuing a policy. Insurance companies check safety ratings and recalls for that particular model. Adding extra safety and tracking devices will make the car safer and the premiums lower.

Thousand Oaks Insurance Agent Announces Solutions For Determining Insurance Needs

insurance Thousand Oaks

Versatility is key to getting the right coverage.

Insurance is not necessarily a “one size fits all” investment; the best policies for one may not serve the best interest of the next person. Cary Runnells, Thousand Oaks insurance agent has some strategies to help people determine what kinds of coverage are the best investment for every stage of life.

The kind of insurance and the amount of coverage depends on the insured’s circumstances. Life changes and that means that insurance needs are also going to change. A college graduate just starting out as an independent single adult has different needs than a family.

“The best way to determine the best coverage for your current circumstances is to sit down with your insurance agent to get a complete understanding of what you need now and your goals for the future,” said Runnells.

Insurance falls into some general categories:

  • Auto insurance that meets the minimum requirements by the State of California all the way to a brand new RV, and your teen driver
  • Life insurance from basic coverage to policies that help pay for college and take care of your family if you are no longer able to do so
  • Homeowner or renter insurance that protects the home you own and your possessions, and your possessions when renting
  • Medical insurance to help cover medical expenses
  • Business insurance with policies that protect the business and business assets, crops and farm machinery for farm and ranch operations, Workers Compensation and a range of other business matters
  • Other insurance such as personal property, personal mobility insurance that covers you as a pedestrian, a passenger or driver of a vehicle you don’t own, even riding a bike.

Versatility is key to getting the right coverage. For example, farmers and ranchers want to carry a single policy that covers their crops and livestock as well as their homes, farm equipment and farm buildings. A partner in business would benefit from a single source that provides life insurance to protect his or her family as well as life insurance to protect business partners.

Auto insurance is a good example of how life circumstances can affect coverage. The State of California requires that vehicles be insured for bodily injury and property damage liability for specific minimum amounts. This minimum coverage meets the letter of the law, but how much protection does it really provide? In a scenario where someone is starting a business while renting an apartment and driving an older vehicle, the minimum auto insurance coverage may not be enough. In this case, you may want enough bodily injury and property damage coverage to protect your new business. The more assets and earnings one has, the higher their risk of being sued if insurance doesn’t cover the claims of an accident.

A number of factors help determine the best insurance, and the factors that will be reviewed during a meeting with your insurance agent include:

  • Current income and expected income growth for the next couple of years
  • Current assets, such as a home or other assets that contribute to personal wealth
  • Are you renting? Renters insurance, along with protecting personal property also provides liability coverage if someone falls down the front steps or your dog bites them
  • Your business interests and how you can insure against risk and business interruption
  • Your marital status and what kind of life insurance is the most beneficial
  • Your children or if you are planning a family
  • The best insurance for vehicles, including personal and business vehicles
  • Good medical coverage
  • And more

Planning for the future includes having the appropriate insurance coverage. This means, that you get the best coverage for your current circumstances, but also develop benchmarks that tell you when it’s time to upgrade the types and amounts of coverage.

When you finally get that big promotion or your business takes off and you buy a home, a visit to the Cary Runnells Insurance Agency in Thousand Oaks will help your insurance coverage grow with you. The agency provides life insurance, auto insurance, home, ranch and farm insurance, plus business insurance and health insurance. The experienced and licensed staff can help with long term financial planning.

The agency serves Thousand Oaks and surrounding communities including Simi Valley, Westlake Village, Oak Park, Newbury Park, Agoura Hills, Moorpark, Camarillo and more.
