Amarillo Doctor Assigned To Head Key Post For The Texas Chiropractic Association In Austin, TX


Dr. Williams’s primary initiative as the Department Coordinator of Scientific Affairs is the promotion and advocacy of patient-centered, evidence-based care, standardized throughout the state, consistent with current research literature and widely accepted professional treatment guidelines.

The Scientific Affairs department of the Texas Chiropractic Association is focused on education, expertise, excellence in the profession, and education of chiropractic staff. In addition, Scientific Affairs exists to support the activities of Legislative Affairs, State Affairs, Litigation, Public Relations and Insurance Relations and other committees and the TCA membership as necessary.

Some of the committees and their functions under Dr. Williams’s guidance include:

  • Education & Events Committee: Manage TCA sponsorship of educational seminars. Develop educational seminars and webinars to be presented by TCA. Recruit speakers, develop programs and oversee the educational components of the two annual TCA conferences. Provide input into the planning of special events and activities at TCA conferences.

Dr. Williams has been leading the charge for professional standardization, specialization, and integration & collaboration with medical colleagues for several years. Not only is Dr. Williams leading the charge as the Department Coordinator for Scientific Affairs, but he has also served the TCA previously as Chairman of the Public Relations Committee, Chairman of the Chiropractic Development Initiative, and TCA Board Of Directors for 5 years.

Additionally, Dr. Williams also hosts his own podcast called The Chiropractic Forward Podcast. Dr. Williams’s podcast focuses on research findings, the patient-centered practice model, and evidence-informed practice protocols.
