“It is an exciting time to grow the Alloy brand with a longtime client who is so familiar with what Alloy stands for. As a franchisor, Alloy has incorporated years of experience and all that we have learned about owning and operating a successful personal training fitness business,”

Senior Alloy personal trainer, Landon Smith, is teaming up with Alloy’s newest franchisee and longtime Alloy client Richard Levine and will serve as assistant general manager of the Charlotte, North Carolina fitness studios.

Levine, a graduate of Ohio State University, has been a client of Alloy and was trained by Smith for the past nine years. “I have been a long time fan and believer in the Alloy brand. Developing the Charlotte area will enable us to expand the reach and positive impact that the Alloy program has had on my life to a whole group of people,” says Levine.

Smith, a personal trainer, and coach, who has been part of the Alloy team for the past seven years, has witnessed the growth and evolution of the Alloy brand. “It is an exciting time to grow the Alloy brand with Richard, our longtime client who is so familiar with what Alloy stands for. As a franchisor, Alloy has incorporated years of experience and all that we have learned about owning and operating a successful personal training fitness business,” says Smith.

Alloy founder Rick Mayo began as a fitness entrepreneur in Alpharetta, Georgia, in 1992, launching Northpoint Fitness. Since that time, he has received many accolades as a fitness and personal training guru traveling the world speaking on fitness business trends in Australia, Europe, and the Americas. The Alloy methodology has been adopted by leading brands and fitness clubs around the world, and in 2020 Alloy launched its franchise opportunity to expand the concept further. In 2019 Mayo was recognized with the prestigious AFS Fitness Business of the Year award, which represents a studio or gym that excels in all areas of business and has demonstrated the ability to create unsurpassed customer experiences, dedicated staff, motivated clients, and leadership in their community.

“We are thrilled to be opening in the North Carolina market.” says founder Rick Mayo, “The Charlotte area has seen some of the highest rates of economic and population growth in the US. It is anticipated that by 2025 90 of the 100 counties in North Carolina are expected to have more people over the age of 60 than under 18. The area offers the perfect demographic for our personal training franchise solution uniquely focused on consumers seeking “active aging” exercise coaching and services.”

“It is an honor to have Richard and Landon representing Alloy in Charlotte,” says Suzanne Robb COO of Alloy, “We know that they will embody Alloy’s philosophy of business and service excellence, building on our 30-year success in a whole new market.

Franchise discovery days are underway for prospective Alloy franchisees, and territories are currently being awarded. If you or someone you know is interested in having their own successful personal training business, the Alloy systems are well developed and focused on an emerging sector of the fitness industry.
