Don Riling, President of Olympic Hot Tub, had the great pleasure of presenting a check for $34,700 to Liliya Kovalenko from the Ukrainian Association of Washington State (UAWS). Olympic donated funds from the sale of every Hot Spring Spa, Freeflow Spa, Vita Swim Spa and Covana Automated Gazebo from our 6th Honoring Heroes Event held in April.
“Liliya is a true hero!” said Riling, “We feel blessed to have been able to support the very important work being done by her organization to help Ukrainians during the crisis in their war-torn country.”
Olympic Hot Tub’s donation will go toward the purchase of Newborn Intensive Care Units, so desperately needed in Ukraine.
During our campaign another idea arose: give the kids of Ukraine a little something, as most of them had to flee their homes and don’t have anything left, including any toys. This turned into Warm 106.9 FM’s Operation: Teddy Bear Lift.
Donations are being taken to buy as many teddy bears as possible to load onto the plane that will carry the medical equipment, supplies, and body armor. Donations can help provide a bit of comfort to displaced children in Ukraine through a new fluffy friend. To learn more visit: https://warm1069.com/operation-teddy-bear-lift/
