No other book that I know takes you on a complete diet-reset program from mental preparation to strategy to maintenance.

Annamarie Jackson combines her personal experience and knowledge gained from years of study and research in “Meditate Yourself Fit: The Key to Ending Compulsive Eating” (published by Balboa Press), a health/diet/fitness book that offers an approach to recovering from compulsive eating and creating a healthy relationship with food.

The book is geared toward those who are struggling to live up to their idea of how to relate to food. It focuses on the use of meditation to cut off compulsive desires for food before they begin. Here, readers get to learn a combination of skills — spiritual, physical and practical — that, together, will help them internalize their ability to change habits and live the life they really want. Included are multiple variations of meditation techniques that anyone can fit around their current life situation. The ultimate goal is to help others recognize their food issue, recalibrate their mindset and move into a higher plane of self-actualization.

“No other book that I know takes you on a complete diet-reset program from mental preparation to strategy to maintenance,” the author states. “It offers a new application of meditation techniques for whatever phase of food addiction recovery you’re in. If you find yourself backtracking, even after you follow all the steps, you can refer to it over and over to refresh your memory.”

In today’s world where fast-food temptations are at its height, “Meditate Yourself Fit: The Key to Ending Compulsive Eating” is a helpful reference manual for those looking for a lifelong healthy relationship with food.
