It’s because of them that all the women at the conference are able to gather with such energy, enthusiasm, and pursuit of furthering their education, advancing their careers, gaining professional relationships, and learning with such great intensity.

Women in CyberSecurity (WiCyS) has sponsorship opportunities for businesses and organizations to support recruiting, retaining and advancing women in cybersecurity through the seventh annual WiCyS conference, March 12-14, 2020, in Aurora, Colorado.
WiCyS is a nonprofit membership organization in the U.S. with an international reach dedicated to bringing together women and allies in cybersecurity from academia, research and industry to share knowledge, experience, networking and mentoring. These objectives are achieved through the organization’s initiatives that include college student chapters, professional affiliates, Job Board++, a virtual job fair, a speaker’s bureau, a mentoring program, the Veterans Assistance Program and the annual signature WiCyS conference. Support directly funds student scholarships, faculty grants and veteran awards.
Since its first conference in 2014, WiCyS has awarded 2,250 student scholarships and 272 faculty lodging grants though sponsorship funding. The organization also has seen over 4,900 attendees at the technical event in that time. The event has grown into the largest cybersecurity conference in the U.S. that ensures representation of professionals, students, academics and industries. The WiCyS community consists of those wanting to advance their career in cybersecurity, those who want to recruit in cybersecurity, and those who support gender diversity in this male-dominated field.
Even though the conference is five months away, the lineup of impressive sponsors is already growing. VIP sponsors are Cisco, Facebook and Optum. A premium sponsor is Amazon Web Services. Diamond sponsors consist of Bank of America, Carnegie Mellon University, CybHER Institute, National Cyber League, Rice University, Rochester Institute of Technology, Tennessee Tech, VISA and Walmart. Sponsors also can participate at platinum, gold, silver and bronze levels.
WiCyS provides sponsors a unique opportunity to support and make a difference in the cybersecurity community. When sponsors collaborate with WiCyS, they gain access to an impressive talent pool of 900-plus aspiring and current cybersecurity females to recruit from, and achieve brand recognition for their support of diversity and inclusion efforts. Conference sponsors also gain insight into all year along engagement options with strategic partnership.
Sponsor packages include pre-conference Leadership Summit speaking opportunities, student/faculty/veteran travel awards, career fair booth and passes, interview space, attendee resumes, Job Board++ access for posting jobs in months leading up to the conference in March, complimentary booth at the Fall Virtual Career Fair in September, conference passes and brand awareness. Additional a la carte items can be purchased and branded such as conference T-shirts, a mobile app, key cards, selfie stations, pajama party refreshments and more.
“We couldn’t be prouder of the passion and commitment of our conference sponsors in supporting WiCyS,” said Dr. Janell Straach, WiCyS chair of the board. “It’s because of them that all the women at the conference are able to gather with such energy, enthusiasm, and pursuit of furthering their education, advancing their careers, gaining professional relationships, and learning with such great intensity. The diversity in the cybersecurity matters, and at the WiCyS conference, you know why! Our sponsors make that happen.”
Sponsorships are available until February or until sold out. Sponsors are only guaranteed lodging if an agreement is in place before Jan. 1. For more information on sponsoring WiCyS 2020, visit: https://www.wicys.org/conference-sponsor.
