A young psychologist with a big heart travels to the afterlife to learn humanity’s purpose with the intention of sharing her knowledge on Earth. But is a world of free will ready for such intense enlightenment? Debuting author Mary Ann Cormack invites readers to find out in “Beyond the Veil: A Journey Into the Afterlife” (published by Balboa Press AU in December 2020).

Alice Nobel flat lines and is recalled to the afterlife by three powerful angels, Zander, Edouard and Lucy. She has been plucked away at her prime in order to attend an extraordinary summit intended to deal with the problems occurring in the third dimension and to redirect humanity towards its true purpose. The angels and wise ones teach her about the journey of the soul and why spirits take on a human incarnation. She is then asked to return to Earth as part of a special group who have been instructed to work with the addictions that are plaguing mans’ progress. If she accepts this challenge, she will be armed with a new vibration and a special gift that will enhance her ability to work with a group who have been empowered to change the direction in which mankind is traveling.

“‘Beyond the Veil’ is an allegory in which a heroine, Alice, travels to a faraway land, the afterlife and is shown the answers to some of the big questions,” the author states. “From this perspective, we can answer some of the questions that give our lives meaning. Why are we here? Why do spirits take on a human incarnation when it can be such a difficult gig? How does a spirit or soul seek to grow and progress and who is keeping score? What do we need to learn to accomplish our goals and lead a meaningful life? What help is available to us? What of science and spirituality, how do they interrelate?”

The first book of a trilogy, “Beyond the Veil: A Journey Into the Afterlife” highlights the notion that life on Earth is a journey that the soul takes to learn about love and service. It is a story about hope — hope for the individual and for the future of the planet. The lessons that Alice learns will guide readers to reflect on how to live in a way that is in alignment with their true purpose. About the Author

Mary Ann Cormack was born in Stirling, Scotland, and at age 3, her parents returned to Sydney, Australia, where she studied medicine at the University of New South Wales (UNSW). Always a people watcher, Cormack became fascinated by the workings of the human mind, peoples’ personalities, and the way they presented themselves to the world. After spending four-and-a-half years in hospital-based training, followed by eight years in general practice, she completed a master’s in psychological medicine to gain an understanding of the human psyche. She has also studied Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) and hypnosis which sometimes allowed her to access the root cause of their suffering. Cormack spent her career practicing conventional medicine but along the way became passionate about what a more holistic approach to health and wellness could achieve. Diet and lifestyle were paramount but there were many other factors to consider. Her study in recent years has highlighted the impact of stress and trauma on the wellness and wholeness of the individual as well as the society in which they live.
