Commission for Case Manager Certification 2020.2021 Board of Commissioners Call for Nominations


The Commission for Case Manager Certification (The Commission) announces its call for nominations seeking candidates for the Board of Commissioners. All CCM and CDMS certificants are encouraged to apply. Certificants with passion, skills, and experience from diverse clinical practice settings and across allied health are sought to contribute to the Commission’s mission and vision. Candidates willing to support the organization’s mission to promote case management’s professional practice through board certification and related services will be considered.

The Commission is the first and largest nationally accredited case management certification organization, credentialing more than 50,000 professional case managers and disability management specialists. The Commission is a nonprofit, volunteer organization that oversees the certification of case managers and disability management specialists with its CCM® and CDMS®credentials. Offering an extensive portfolio of professional advancement activities that includes certification, the Commission is the most active and prestigious credentialing organization supporting case management and disability management practices.

Service on the Commission’s Board provides individuals with an opportunity to help shape the future of professional case management and disability management. The opportunity to work with other leaders in health care allows volunteers to be on the cutting edge of case management, disability management, and board certification. Additionally, service on the Commission’s Board will enable volunteers to participate in the decision-making process on a national level, driving the organization’s strategic goals.

“We are excited to welcome new Commissioners to the Board to work in cooperation with other professionals that represent leaders in the fields of case management and disability management,” Commission Chair-Elect Jared Young said. “These individuals will directly impact the future of case management and disability management and contribute to the evolution of the care team while promoting the value of certification for consumers.”

Individuals who are elected as Commissioners will serve four-year terms beginning in July 2021. Service on the Commission’s Board includes committee and task force assignments that are driven by strategic priorities developed by the Board. Commissioners serve as stewards of the organization, including governance, fiduciary, and industry activities, while representing and endorsing the CCM and CDMS credentials and advancing board-certification.
