Nashville Fertility Center (NFC) is proud to announce that Kristin Van Heertum MD will be the latest fertility doctor to join the practice. In addition to treating general infertility, Dr. Van Heertum offers expertise in fertility surgery and treatment of polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS).

The team at NFC looks forward to Dr. Van Heertum joining the practice and believes she is the perfect fit. According to Founder George Hill MD, “We believe that Dr. Van Heertum will be an excellent addition to our practice. Her special training in minimally invasive and robotic fertility surgery combined with her knowledge and compassion will greatly benefit our patients.”

Dr. Van Heertum is equally excited about working with NFC to help patients overcome infertility. “When I found Nashville Fertility Center, I was impressed by the team. Kristin Van Heertum MD offers a strong educational background and surgical training.

Dr. Van Heertum earned her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. She then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Abington Hospital-Jefferson Health in Abington, Pennsylvania. To round out her training, Dr. Van Heertum completed a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center/Case Western Reserve University. Throughout her training, she published multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented her research at a number of national meetings.

During her residency and fellowship, Kristin Van Heertum MD gained a wealth of knowledge about fertility diagnosis and treatment. Additionally, she trained in advanced surgical techniques, including minimally invasive and robotic fertility surgery. “It’s so rewarding to see how the right surgical techniques can help patients overcome fertility challenges,” she explains.

A passion for helping her patients overcome infertility

Kristin Van Heertum MD finds that working as a reproductive endocrinologist is incredibly rewarding. “Being a fertility doctor allows me to develop close and meaningful relationships with my patients. It’s life-changing work and I feel so blessed to help patients build families.”

Providing treatment for PCOS and performing fertility surgery are among Dr. Van Heertum’s clinical interests. She also has expertise in all areas of infertility diagnosis and treatment, including ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI) and in vitro fertilization (IVF).

Dr. Van Heertum is now accepting new patients at Nashville Fertility Center.
