The Northwest Chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), the advocate for the profession of directorship, today announced the election of Kristy Clement, director, Afognak Native Corp.; Mike Millegan, director, Portland General Electric; Carol Nelson, director, Delta Dental of Washington; and Tom Palmer, partner, Tonkon Torp LLP.
“Kristy, Mike, Carol, and Tom are outstanding additions to the chapter board. They are experienced directors and seasoned business executives who will contribute significantly to our mission of providing directors in the Northwest with world-class director education programs in Seattle, Portland, and Boise,” said Elizabeth Bastoni, NACD Northwest chairman.
Clement currently chairs the Board of Afognak Native Corp. and previously chaired its Compensation Committee. Millegan currently serves as an independent public company director for Portland General Electric, where he is a member of the Audit and Finance Committees. He also serves as an independent public company director for Wireless Technology Group, where he chairs the Compensation Committee and is a member of the Nominating Governance Committee. Nelson is currently on the board of Delta Dental of Washington, where she is a member of the Investment and Audit and HR/Compensation Committees. She is also a director of Brooks Sports Inc.’s Board of Advisors and serves as vice chair of the Board of Washington State Major League Baseball Stadium Public Facilities District. Palmer has more than 40 years of experience in advising Boards of Directors on Corporate Governance matters and has served as a director of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society Oregon Chapter and Portland’s Business Committee for Culture and the Arts.
