InnerSpace has reached a pivotal moment where our proven technology is moving to a fully location-as-a-service model of delivery.

InnerSpace, the world’s most accurate WiFi-based indoor location intelligence platform, today announced the promotion of Cerys Goodall to the role of President & Chief Operating Officer. In this role, Goodall will support the investment strategies for the company while continuing to oversee the entire customer journey. Goodall’s responsibilities include leading sales and marketing, client delivery, professional services and data science programs as the company moves to a software-based platform and enters new markets including public safety and security.

“Cerys’ deep commitment to our company and ability to execute quickly and with excellence, makes her an ideal leader as we pursue our mission to become the world’s leading indoor location intelligence platform,” said James Wu, CEO and Founder, InnerSpace. “Her expertise in professional services coupled with her experiences working in healthcare, defense and artificial-intelligence related industries, will help InnerSpace navigate our path forward to make WiFi-based location services broadly available for Smart City initiatives.”

Goodall joined InnerSpace in 2016 to lead the company’s marketing initiatives and support its early fundraising efforts. Since that time, she developed the company’s professional services and data science teams, led the product strategy for the InnerSpace analytics and mobile apps serving Smart Office and Smart Food & Beverage Retail, and more recently has stepped forward to champion the company’s applications in public safety and security for Smart Cities.

“InnerSpace has reached a pivotal moment where our proven technology is moving to a fully location-as-a-service model of delivery,” said Goodall. “Our platform is the only WiFi-based solution to reach sub-2m accuracy and we can now deliver it in a way that will expand our reach, and enable our customers to access this technology from anywhere in the world and on any WiFi infrastructure of their choice. Our next chapter is an exciting one.”

Goodall’s success in driving differentiating business outcomes for the company’s Fortune 500 clients, helped the company secure $3.5M USD led by BDC Capital’s Women in Technology Fund, with support from MaRS Investment Accelerator Fund, 500 Startups, Industry Ventures, and Zach Coelius’s AngelList syndicate, among others. Prior to InnerSpace, Goodall launched the LEAGUE brand and managed global communications for eReading giant Kobo.

“Cerys is an inspiring leader, role model, and an incredible example of what women bring to the technology landscape,” said Michelle Scarborough, Managing Partner, BDC Capital’s Women in Technology Venture Fund. “Her ability to step forward into new roles to quickly identify opportunities, and then optimize for success, is just one of the many reasons we’re proud to have InnerSpace as part of our investment portfolio.”
